Easy Believism And The Feel Good Gospel

A pastor friend of mine told his parishioners that after a solid dose of his preaching, enquirers to the faith would either run down the aisle for salvation, or run out the back door because sins’ hold on them was greater than their desire to repent.  This is the intention and desired effect when people are confronted with the Word of God.  Not everyone who hears the whole counsel of God becomes saved!  The same sunshine that melts ice hardens clay.  When the church becomes nonchalant and even welcoming towards the unrepentant, then the Lord will take His candlestick out and leave Himself.

Europe Appears To Be Toast Via Islamic Invasion ~ This Video Has Gone Viral In Europe

Prayer rugs and copies of the Koran have been strewn along our southern Mexican border, and President Obama desires for thousands of Syrian “refugees” to immigrate during the coming years.  The “refugees” are not families, but angry Islamic men between the ages of 18-30.  Mosques are being built across America, and are in every state.  All they need are our women.  Patrick Buchanan wrote “Death Of The West” in 2001, forecasting exactly what we see happening now.  In the 1980’s, my wife and I discussed “Who will replace the mass of aborted unwanted babies by America and her allies since Roe. vs. Wade?”  The answer lies within these words, and is displayed graphically in the video below.  A missionary friend of mine told us years ago that there was a massive Islamic jihad brewing, and the west is the target.

The press does not understand Islam at all.  The media divides Muslims into groups like peaceful, coexisting, radical, violent, etc.  READ THE KORAN and STUDY THEIR FOUNDER.  Look at their history and their previous attempts to conquer Europe at their inception and 700 years later.  They believe a period of confusion and war with the west will usher in their global rule, and yearn for the jihad at hand.  They have already claimed all of the west.  Their religion promotes Islam as the only religion in the world when their goals come to fruition.  They take their faith seriously.  If Christians did the same, perhaps this would not be happening.  Strike the following video link to see a graphic portrayal of Europe today.

Is this true?  While teaching a class on soteriology (the study of the Savior and salvation) last week, I canvassed the class of 8-10 students with the following question:  When was the last time that ANYONE came to your door and shared the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ?  The answers were unbelievable and told volumes about the anemic state of evangelism, the community and the local church.

The question was NOT when was the last time someone invited you to church, it was when was the last time someone brought the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to your home.  The answer:  People from Jehovah Witnesses and the Mormons were frequent visitors over the decades but they brought their cult beliefs, and distortions of Christianity.  The entire class said that no one ever came to their door with the Gospel and explained to them how to become saved.  There was one exception:  A senior lady said she was visited by one with an evangelical flair who shared the plan of salvation in 1950!  It must have had a real impact on her in order to remember this for sixty five years.  In my case, I received a visit or two from Independent Baptist Churches who shared the Gospel many years ago in Virginia.  A local large Southern Baptist Church where I live now, sent out a FAITH team [FAITH is a witnessing strategy that presents the Gospel in a particular way, incorporating a simple testimony and specific scriptures] after we visited their church.  They talked about their church and invited us again, but did not share the plan of salvation.  (In their defense, they may have thought that since I was a pastor,  there was no need to share Christ, however, I would have respected them more so if they did).

Since we seem to compartmentalize our faith and “witness” only while in church, perhaps we need to focus on a powerful quotation by Francis of Assisi:

“Don’t go to preach unless you preach while you go.”

There is no substitute for grassroots one on one evangelism.  Marketing, methodology and events are all majoring on the minor.  There is no substitute for church leaders visiting the homes of the lost.  Picking up where Jerry Falwell left off, he finished by saying:  “…when the local minister visits the home, shares the Gospel and has prayer, where are these folks going to go when adversity strikes their family?”  Well said Jerry.

I honestly believe that the Mormons, Muslims and Jehovah’s Witnesses often display more zeal for a lie, than blood washed born again Christians display for the truth, life and the way.  (John 14:6)

President Obama downplays the threat of Isis just hours before the attack on Paris on 11/13/15:

“I don’t think they are getting strength.  What is true is that our goal has been first to contain them and we have contained them.“

This is a direct quote from our illustrious president to George Stephanopoulos on Friday, Good Morning America/ABC.  As I write this, Isis is recruiting young men from Minnesota to attack our nation.  Isis has just threatened America with attacks like we just saw in Paris. Specifically, they are targeting Washington, D.C. and our shopping malls.  Isis said that Paris is the first attack in a firestorm that will cover the globe.

To refresh your memory, this is the president who called Isis a JV team (Junior Varsity) just before they came on the radar nearly two years ago.  The strategy is obvious- Downplay the threat to the American public while they gain more and more power.  While he does this, thousands of Syrian “refugees” are simultaneously invited to America.

The Latest Carnage In Paris, 11/13/15

Let me think…  There are over 750 Muslim safe havens in France and Paris may accurately be described as the little Mecca of the west.  So when Muslim “extremists” scream “Allahu akbar” and butcher nearly 200 civilians in this city, there is no surprise in it from me.  The usual rhetoric of “Muslim radical fringe group” is spewed from the liberal press, yet one cannot help but observe that wherever these people settle en mass is where these atrocities happen.  The British Prime Minister was “shocked” by the latest barbaric acts of Islam.  What galaxy has he been hiding out in?  For the more naive among us, here is the usual “Islamic infiltration of the west” modus operandi (method of operation, i.e. M.O.):  Settle in countries with huge numbers, ignore the customs and laws of the respective nations, demand sharia law, rewrite history as if they have been there for thousands of years, and brainwash the populace that the latest murder and mayhem was performed by a radical fringe group.  The best friend of the immigrating Islamic world is “tolerance.”  Has anyone read the Koran or studied the genocide of their founder?  Goodness gracious, Mohammed was Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin rolled into one, and then some.  Our illustrious president Barack Hussein Obama, desires to allow countless Syrian “refugees” into America.  85% of them are men between the ages of 18 and 30.  If you are confused as to what Obama’s real strategy is, then you really ARE confused.  Our Muslim president desires to bring Paris to America. But do not worry–  only a few of them will end up to be “extremists.”  In reality, their whole strategy is to settle in large numbers, while a handful of operatives do the damage.  Oh yes, the Muslims in and around Paris can say they are “outraged” by the latest mayhem, but then again, their demon god Allah allows them to lie in order to promote their religion, since they follow the father of lies.  Also note that the great majority of the murders happened at a concert in Paris where an American group from Palm Springs, California known as “Eagles of Death Metal” played.  Hence Muslims feel justified in countering the debauchery of the west.  Christians also need to keep in mind that the Lord would not allow these incidents to happen if we truly followed Him.  It is indeed true, that the west is corrupt, with the United States of America leading the pack.

Interestingly, syndicated columnist Ann Coulter said that the latest carnage has placed Donald Trump in the White House.  In my opinion the man is edgy, yet he clearly recognizes the enemy, and circumvents the usual liberal baggage of PC and tolerance whenever these acts of terrorism occur.  Muslim immigration on a huge scale will be the undoing of any nation that participates.  If Americans do not learn from the way Islam is doing Europe in, then that will also be our experience in the near future.  What is the panacea?
