TWENTY FIVE REASONS WHY AUGUSTINE WAS NOT A SAINT ~ James Sundquist

TWENTY FIVE REASONS WHY AUGUSTINE

WAS NOT A SAINT

How Augustine Weaponized Christianity

I can certainly understand the need to teach what Augustine taught, like you would teach
what Darwin taught and what Evolution teaches, and what Karl Marx taught regarding
Socialism, but you would do so to expose and mark them, not promote them. So I
would think that Conservative Christian and Baptist seminaries and Baptist Church
denominations would be the last people on earth to promote Augustine. So I can’t help
but ask if pastors and professors ever told their members and students the rest of the
story about Augustine as follows:

  1. The Roman Catholic Church considers him one the Four Ecumenical Doctors and
    Founding Fathers of Roman Catholicism
  2. Augustine himself stated that if it were not for CATHOLICISM he would not have

found the Gospel. He was either a Founding Father, or Collaborator, and/or Co-
Conspirator of these Doctrine of Demons and Seducing Spirits:

  1. Allegorical vs. Literal meaning of Scripture, particularly Creation Week in Genesis.
    See:
Does God Expect Man to be able to Tell Time
    http://nwcreation.net/articles/theageofearth.html
(Also exposes Dr. Hugh Ross who promotes Augustine)
“It not infrequently happens that something about the earth…may be known with the
greatest certainty by reasoning or by experience, even by one who is not a Christian. It is

too disgraceful and ruinous, though, and greatly to be avoided, that he [the non-
Christian] should hear a Christian speaking so idiotically on these matters, and as if

in accord with Christian writings, that he might say that he could scarcely keep from
laughing when he saw how totally in error they are. In view of this and in keeping it in
mind constantly while dealing with the book of Genesis, I have, insofar as I was able,
explained in detail and set forth for consideration the meanings of obscure passages,
taking care not to affirm rashly someone meaning to the prejudice of another and
perhaps better explanation.”SOURCE: The Literal Interpretation of Genesis 1:19–20,
Chapt. 19 [AD 408]

  1. Defied the warning of the Apostle Peter with his private interpretation of Scripture
and subjective eisegesis, and he didn’t even know Greek language.
  2. Purgatory and Works Salvation and Sanctification, which is the Doctrine of Non-
Justification by Faith Alone, and thereby defying Christ’s own word on the Cross by

teaching “It is Unfinished” (but rather finished in this life and the life to come).
Augustine could have prevented Indulgences from ever gaining traction in Roman
Catholicism by renouncing Purgatory as a myth, so that there would never have been a
place to spring saints from. Paul renounces myths and fables, Augustine promoted them.
We would all be well to take Paul’s advice. But what happens is a host of pastors would
even say they oppose Augustine, yet continue to promote myriads of his teachings. The
Bible calls this “double-minded…unstable in all their ways.” James 1:8. In modern
vernacular we call this “waffling.” They might even agree with this list of 25 reasons
why Augustine was not a saint, but then claim he was “saved” (how could he be saved
by becoming a Roman Catholic), “a good theologian” and “we are Augustinian?” See
this article:
Can a Roman Catholic be Saved?:
https://carm.org/are-roman-catholics-christian. One Baptist pastor who taught at
Baptist Seminary who said these very words also insisted on diminishing the Old
Testament, with particular contempt for the Book of Numbers and Leviticus. Yet this
same pastor pushes tithing from the pulpit and weekly cites Malachi 10:3 regarding
tithing. But these books clearly spell out why tithing can’t be a Christian Doctrine. Had
he properly taught these Books of the Bible, the church members would be properly
equipped. Also see:
Blasphemy of Purgatory
http://thesewordsmin.blogspot.com/2011/10/blasphemy-of-purgatory.html
Augustine perverted Doctrine of Penal Substitutionary Atonement:
“Does this mean then that his Son was already so reconciled to us that he was even
prepared to die for us, while the Father was still so angry with us that unless the Son
died for us he would not be reconciled to us?… Would the Father have not spared his
own Son but handed him over for us, if he had not already been reconciled? … I observe
that the Father loved us not merely before the Son died for us, but before he founded the
world…” Augustine, xiii [of De Trinitate]
And even if one were to fully concede that Augustine published a statement that was
clear that he believed that Christ died to appease his Father’s wrath, etc., because he also
believed in Purgatory, as did C.S. Lewis, this would nullify PSA, because it would no
longer be “it is finished” because we have to finish it in Purgatory, at least those who
couldn’t first make it to Heaven, according to this nefarious teaching. At least C.S.
Lewis was consistent re Penal Substitutionary Atonement, because the insufficiency of
the Blood of Christ in this life and the life to come (Purgatory), so that the balance of
our sentence would have to be paid by us. Many Protestants and Evangelicals were led
to convert to Roman Catholicism because of C.S. Lewis and his writings. See these links
for evidence:

I personally knew someone who attributed their conversion from being an Evangelical to
Roman Catholicism in great part to C.S. Lewis.

  1. Millennialism
Augustine taught that there is no literal thousand year period reign of Christ on the earth
when he returns, contrary to Scripture. He was originally Premillennial but retracted this
view as being “carnal.” In fact, Augustine systematized Millennialism in the
    4
    th Century.
  2. Apostolic Succession…if this is true, then signs and wonders couldn’t end or cease.
This would nullify or make the Reformation impossible, Apostolic Succession is alone
the domain and teaching of Roman Catholicism! As anyone who is canonized as a saint
in Roman Catholicism must have performed two miracles. It takes one miracle to be
beatified. But Baptists and many Conservative Christians believe sign gifts ended with
the Apostles. So then why are there so many Baptists Augustinians??
  3. Replacement Theology
In keeping with his allegorical systematized theology, Israel is now the Church,
therefore, the Promised Land does not go to the Jews in his view.
  4. Coercive Torture and Terrorism
Augustine weaponized Christianity and systematized and institutionalized
torture in the Name of Jesus. His Convert-or-die Christianity paved the way for
the Inquisition, persecution and martyrdom of the tens of millions of true saints,
massacring the Parable of the Wheat and Tares in Matthew Chapter 13. Had Augustine
taken the opposite stance, i.e., the biblical stance, there may not have been the roots
planted that eventually led to what the Conquistadors did in Central and South America.

If I were the Donatists, I would feel safer with Freddy Kruger, the legendary horror
movie villain, than Augustine. But Freddy Kruger was an imaginary figure…the horrors
toward saints at the hands of Augustine were real…a pastor from Hell….totally
disqualified as an elder or minister of righteousness. In fact, he never met the biblical
qualifications to be an elder in the first place. The Apostle Paul persecuted Christians
too, but that was BEFORE he was a Christian. In his own right, Augustine was a
terrorist, torturer, and persecutor of Christians, and planted the seeds and fertilizer for
the infrastructure for millions of martyrs, laying the ground work for and supplying the
blueprints to John Calvin. True Christians should run for their lives from Augustinians,
certainly not make him their pastor. With pastors like this, who needs enemies? And
how ironic, that Augustine taught that wrong have no rights. Therefore, since his
teachings are chalked full of wrong heresies, he is indicted by his own testimony. He
believed that coercion using “great violence” was biblically justified against fellow
Christians…all in the name of love. And where in Augustine’s Confessions do you find a
single confession and repentance for inciting and systematizing the torture of Christian
saints? So torturing saints in Purgatory who don’t make it to Heaven is not enough for
Augustine, he taught torturing while they were on earth too? Where is the accounting
ledger in his book of all the restitution he made to all of the saints he tortured?
John the Baptist taught the necessity of making restitution to those who were defrauded,
and Zacchaeus even proposed increasing the amount restitution to victims to four times
the amount. So were Augustine here today would he make restitution to all his victims
suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from what he did to them? How about
restitution for all of the false teachings in this article he promulgated? To say nothing
about what all of the tithing money went for to promote a false religion.
Augustine claims to find his doctrine and justification for harassing, stalking, and
persecuting Christians from Scripture. Augustine turned the healthy tissue of church
discipline given to us in Scripture into a metastasized form of Spiritual Melanoma
Cancer. So where did the Apostle Paul ONCE persecute, torture, believers or
unbelievers in the New Testament? Where did he once prescribe retaliation or use
violence against even the Judaizers and Pharisees, even though he was repeatedly
beaten, flogged, tortured, and imprisoned by them? The Apostle Paul ultimately
twice eternally cursed and damned them for Eternity, but did not physically abuse
them in any way in this life.
The death penalty was decreed for any one who practiced re-baptism…It is a fact
recognized by many recent historians, that the persecution of the Anabaptists surpassed
in severity the persecution of the early Christians by pagan Rome (“Mennonites in
Europe,” by John Horsch, p. 300). They were burned alive and turned over to wild
animals to be devoured, and in some case given a third baptism of drowning.

I am utterly astonished at the number of even conservative Christian denominations,
pastors, authors, seminaries and Christian colleges who exalt Augustine virtually to the
Stratosphere as a theologian and pastor of pastors, particularly in America. Augustine’s
persecution of Christians paved the way and established the infrastructure for torture
which was perfected by Loyola in the Inquisition…victims ultimately in the tens of
millions. King James in England took the mantle and baton from Augustine and Loyola
for the Anglican Church, resulting in the fleeing of Puritans and Pilgrims and an
avalanche of other Christian refugees in England and the rest of Europe. And Calvin
took his baton to Geneva, Switzerland. American was founded on fleeing terrorists that
had merged Church and State. In fact, the United States Constitution and the Bill of
Rights was created to prevent Augustine’s antithesis of Freedom of Religion. The Bill of
Rights was created to prevent Augustinian types, with a path for redress should any
control freak ever attempt or succeed in taking anyone’s freedom of religion away or
infringe these rights. And the Second Amendment to bear arms was added, so that if
necessary an Augustinian type of terrorist comes to your house or city would be stopped
in their tracks. Furthermore Immigration Policy is designed to ban entry into the U.S., to
anyone like Augustine who promoted and terrorized Christians that did not meet his
definition of Christian:
Here are just two of the 18 restrictions which would bar Augustine even from entry into
the United States at least historically before Covid and the Border Crisis):
“have a physical or mental disorder that makes you harmful to others”
“have committed or been convicted of a crime of ‘moral turpitude’”
SOURCE:
List of Reason/Ground of Inadmissibility for Entering the United States
https://www.immihelp.com/18-grounds-of-inadmissibility-for-entering-the-united-states/
How about inside of the United States? Augustine would be guilty of torturing by these
statutes:
Bill of Rights
It is debated as to whether or not torture as a punishment falls under the cruel and
unusual punishment clause of the Eighth Amendment to the United States
Constitution. The text of the Amendment states that:

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual

punishments inflicted.
The U.S. Supreme Court has held since at least the 1890s that punishments which
involved torture are forbidden under the Eighth Amendment.[4]
18 U.S.C. § 2340[edit]
An act of torture committed outside the United States by a U.S. national or a non-U.S.
national who is present in the United States is punishable under 18 U.S.C. § 2340. The
definition of torture used is as follows:
As used in this chapter—
1.“torture” means an act committed by a person acting under the color of law
specifically intended to inflict severe physical or mental pain or
2.suffering (other than pain or suffering incidental to lawful sanctions) upon
another person within his custody or physical control;
3.“severe mental pain or suffering” means the prolonged mental harm caused by or
resulting from—
A. the intentional infliction or threatened infliction of severe physical pain or suffering;
B. the administration or application, or threatened administration or application, of
mind-altering substances or other procedures calculated to disrupt profoundly the senses
or the personality;
C.the threat of imminent death; or
D.the threat that another person will imminently be subjected to death, severe
physical pain or suffering, or the administration or application of mind-altering
substances or other procedures calculated to disrupt profoundly the senses or
personality; and
(3) “United States” means the several states of the United States, the District of
Columbia, and the commonwealths, territories, and possessions of the United States.
And if somehow Augustine had managed to sneak into the country as an illegal alien,
and started up the same Godfather tactics he practiced in North Africa, he would have
been rounded up and rightfully deported or tried for a host of crimes. Fortunately, now
they have stalking laws to use against 21st Century stalkers like Augustine, and
kidnapping. In fact, kidnapping would be a federal felony crime. So if Augustine were to
attempt seizing someone today in the U.S., he would likely be deported, or in some
cases, if death resulted in the person being tortured, it would be Augustine himself
receiving capital punishment. Yet pastor after pastor remains gobsmacked and delirious

in their delusion. So Augustine couldn’t gain legitimate entry into the United States,
couldn’t become a member of a Conservative Baptist Church, and could not become a
pastor. Yet Pastor after pastor, denomination after denomination can’t control themselves
from exalting him and no doubt couldn’t wait to install him as their pastor or head of
their church denomination. John Calvin too, took the mantle of persecuting Christians in
Switzerland, from Augustine, who were running for their lives. So thorough was
Calvin’s total submersion and baptism into Augustine, said that his whole theology could
be found in the words of Augustine. Augustine designed the original torture of
Christians by the Catholic Church, Loyola refined it. I thought we got rid of the Divine
Right of Kings, once and for all, only to be replaced by the Divine Right of Pastors, who
want to put us back under bondage? Augustine is indisputably the global Grand
Architect, and Founding Father of Christians torturing Christians…a gangster. Anyone in
law enforcement or the FBI profiling this person, not knowing who he was, would see a
psychopath and sociopath control freak hungry for power who could not contain himself
from abusing his perceived enemies of the church…real or imagined…until they find out
it was Augustine…then mystically he becomes a sacred cow with diplomatic
immunity…and in the church, anyone speaking ill of him is the one with the problem.
The Shepherding Movement pales in comparison, yet no doubt has its roots in
Augustine. If anyone does not believe my report, I invite you to do your own Google
search for Augustine’s own words, published in his writings and books. Had pastors and
authors on Augustine done this, they would discover they had deceived their own sheep,
in this generation, and actually preached from the pulpit what Augustine really taught
before the Internet, for sixteen hundred years, perhaps the Great Falling Away could
have at least been minimized. But now, as the Apostle Paul would say, we are without
excuse!
And in case you think control-freak Christianity is extinct in either Roman Catholicism
or Protestants, see these stories in Germany, where hundreds of thousands of both
Catholics and Protestants are either terminating their church membership, or are leaving
the country, as recent at 2015 because the national government taxes all members:
“The German church tax — which is 8 to 9 percent of the annual income tax — is so
steep, however, that many people formally quit the church to avoid paying, while
nevertheless remaining active in their faith….”

England does the same thing.

  1. Just War Antisemitism Theology led to Crusades justification for and Global
Conspiracy to steal the Land of Israel for the Church
  2. Leaven of Herod defying warning of Christ; merging Church and State as well as
the warning of the Apostle Paul to let punishment for church matters and heresy stay
within the church, unless crimes have been committed, then turn that over to the State.
  3. Priests as Mediators between God and Man defying the Apostle Paul who wrote
there is only One Mediator, Christ Jesus.
  4. City of God is the Church and not Jerusalem
  5. Infant Salvation Baptism and calling anyone who rejected it “infidels” and
“cursed.” Augustine effectively called these Christians “accursed” is what the Apostle
Paul did to the Judaizers in Galatians, so that they would have NO hope of salvation,
eternally damning them. Augustine’s doctrine on infant baptism was eventually codified
in the Roman Catholic Council of Trent, which anathematized anyone who did not hold
these views on baptism. Want proof? Here is the Catholic Doctrine:

“ON BAPTISM

CANON I.-If any one saith, that the baptism of John had the
same force as the baptism of Christ; let him be anathema.

CANON II.-If any one saith, that true and natural water is not
of necessity for baptism, and, on that account, wrests, to some
sort of metaphor, those words of our Lord Jesus Christ; Unless
a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost; let him be
anathema.

CANON III.-If any one saith, that in the Roman church, which
is the mother and mistress of all churches, there is not the true
doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism; let him be
anathema.

CANON IV.-If any one saith, that the baptism which is even
given by heretics in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Ghost, with the intention of doing what the Church
doth, is not true baptism; let him be anathema.

CANON V.-If any one saith, that baptism is free, that is, not
necessary unto salvation; let him be anathema.

CANON VI.-If any one saith, that one who has been baptized
cannot, even if he would, lose grace, let him sin ever so much,
unless he will not believe; let him be anathema.

CANON VII.-If any one saith, that the baptized are, by
baptism itself, made debtors but to faith alone, and not to the
observance of the whole law of Christ; let him be anathema.

CANON VIII.-If any one saith, that the baptized are freed from
all the precepts, whether written or transmitted, of holy
Church, in such wise that they are not bound to observe them,

unless they have chosen of their own accord to submit
themselves thereunto; let him be anathema.

CANON IX.-If any one saith, that the resemblance of the
baptism which they have received is so to be recalled unto
men, as that they are to understand, that all vows made after
baptism are void, in virtue of the promise already made in that
baptism; as if, by those vows, they both derogated from that
faith which they have professed, and from that baptism itself;
let him be anathema.

CANON X.-If any one saith, that by the sole remembrance and
the faith of the baptism which has been received, all sins
committed after baptism are either remitted, or made venial; let
him be anathema.

CANON XI.-If any one saith, that baptism, which was true and
rightly conferred, is to be repeated, for him who has denied the
faith of Christ amongst Infidels, when he is converted unto
penitence; let him be anathema.

CANON XII.-If any one saith, that no one is to be baptized
save at that age at which Christ was baptized, or in the very
article of death; let him be anathema.

CANON XIII.-If any one saith, that little children, for that they
have not actual faith, are not, after having received baptism, to
be reckoned amongst the faithful; and that, for this cause, they
are to be re-baptized when they have attained to years of
discretion; or, that it is better that the baptism of such be
omitted, than that, while not believing by their own act, they
should be baptized in the faith alone of the Church; let him be

anathema.

CANON XIV.-If any one saith, that those who have been thus
baptized when children, are, when they have grown up, to be
asked whether they will ratify what their sponsors promised in
their names when they were baptized; and that, in case they
answer that they will not, they are to be left to their own will;
and are not to be compelled meanwhile to a Christian life by
any other penalty, save that they be excluded from the
participation of the Eucharist, and of the other sacraments,
until they repent; let him be anathema.”

Even Vatican II was just as ruthless, which was supposed to be kinder and gentler:
“If anyone says that in the Roman Church, which is the mother and mistress of all
churches, there is not the true doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism,
let him be anathema.” (ibid., p. 53 — Seventh Session, Sacrament Of Baptism, Canon
3)
So when was this doctrine ever rescinded? Answer: NEVER!

  1. Monasticism and marriage only value is to produce celibate offspring, defying
Scripture and paving way for pedophilia abuse and homosexuality among priests
  2. Neoplatonist and Humanist
  3. Mysticism and Gnosticism
Augustine got it all rolling…now read the fruit of this in the 21st Century:
    MILLENNIAL ESCHATOLOGY
    http://www.discernment-ministries.org/
    More proof, see:
    Richard Foster—Celebration of Deception
    http://cicministry.org/commentary/issue112.htm
(This article does not name Augustine, but is about Richard Foster. However, Richard
    Foster says this about Augustine:
“Confessions of St. Augustine” Recommended by Richard Foster as one of the best of
the “experiential classics in Christian literature.”
  4. Transubstantiation (Catholic Doctrine that teaches the Body and Blood of

Christ becomes literal)

  1. Necromancy: Praying to Mary and Mary never sinned
Necromancy is a magic art, i.e., sorcery. Revelation states clearly that those practice
magic arts “will find their place in the Lake of Fire.” Rev. 21:8, and reconfirmed in Rev
22:15. So if Augustine was truly a saint, and “saved” then how does he find himself in
the Lake of Fire by practicing and stumbling multitudes to do the same? Augustine was
so mixed up he call Mary the spouse of God:
Augustine wrongly calls Mary, ALONE, the Spouse of God. The Church is the
Spouse, or more technically the Bride to be, she is presently betrothed to Christ
who is the Groom. She becomes the Bride (therefore the Wife) at the Wedding
Supper of the Lamb, when Christ returns in Glory for his Bride. Now Mary,
though highly favored among women, is less than one-billionth of the Bride to be,
because she is a Christian. But all born-again Christians make up the Bride.

“Mary was the only one who merited to be called the Mother as Spouse of God.”
SOURCE: Augustine, Sermons 208; quoted by St. Alphonsus de Liguori in The
Glories of Mary (New York: Redemptorist, 1931)
But it is the Church that is the Bride of Christ, who is God. Mary was only a fraction of
one percent of the Bride. Also a spouse must be married. The Church is presently
betrothed to the Lord (engaged), but not married yet. That can’t happen until the
Marriage Supper of the Lamb, when Christ returns in Glory. Furthermore, how could
Mary be the Mother of God? Mary needed a Redeemer. Can someone in need of a
redeemer be the Mother of God? And how can you be simultaneously Wife and Mother
of God? Now imagine that if Mary is the Mother of God, wouldn’t all Christians (the
Church) then be collectively the Mother of God, using Augustine’s logic…since after all,
the Mother of God and the Spouse (Wife) are one and the same? Mary doesn’t become
the Spouse of God until all we as Christians become his Spouse with Mary, at the
Wedding Supper of the Lamb! Yet the legend of Augustine lives on without his deeds of
darkness and false teachings being exposed, marked, and named, as the Apostle Paul
commanded of all true Christians. The fact of this statement of Augustine, alone, renders
him Reprobate. Some might say he is apostate. But apostate means to fall away from
something that was originally a true religion or seed. But as Christ said a thorn
bush cannot produce figs. Matthew 23, though initially written to call Judaism a
worthless religion, it is mirrored in Catholicism. Catholicism, just like Judaism in the
First Century are thorn bush religions….worthless (Christ and the Apostle Pauls words,
not mine). Though I will say that Roman Catholicism has fallen away even further into
the Abyss since Augustine.

  1. Praying for the dead
  2. Jews have the Mark of Cain
  3. Nephilim were descendants of Cain
  4. Christians must Tithe at minimum. This is extortion and defies the Council of
Jerusalem’s ruling for minimum requirements of Gentile Christians, and the Apostle
Paul’s own instructions that all giving must NOT be out of compulsion.

Why Are Leaders All Over The World Warning That World War III Is Very Close?

If you are like me, you can sense that the world has gone completely chaotic, and is knocking on the door of Armageddon and the Great Tribulation. Pastor Steve <><

Breaking News Updates – January 20, 2024

Why Are Leaders All Over The World Warning That World War III Is Very Close?
BY MICHAEL SNYDER/END OF THE AMERICAN DREAM JANUARY 20, 2024
Prominent leaders all over the globe are starting to publicly acknowledge that World War III is coming with British Defense Minister Grant Shapps warning that we are now in a “pre-war world”.

Prominent leaders all over the globe are starting to publicly acknowledge that World War III is coming.  In many cases they are expressing hope that it can still be avoided, but that becomes less likely with each passing day.

Multiple parties are escalating the conflict in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine has entered a dangerous new phase, and the election that just happened in Taiwan has made a Chinese invasion much more probable.

So what is going to happen if major powers start tangling with one another all over the planet?  We really are on the brink of the unthinkable, but most people in the general population have no idea how dire things have become.

On Monday, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps warned that we are now in a “pre-war world” and that western powers could soon find themselves fighting Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea…

…now is the time for all allies and democratic nations across the world to… make sure their defence spending is growing too. Because as discussed, the era of the peace dividend is over. In five years time we could be looking at multiple theatres including Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.

…we find ourselves at the dawn of this new era. The Berlin Wall a distant memory but we have come full circle, moving from a post-war to a pre-war world. An age of idealism has been replaced by a period of hard-headed realism.

I was stunned that he was willing to give the public such an honest assessment.

But of course he is right.

Multiple wars are coming.

U.S. officials are issuing similar warnings.  Here is one example…

A source inside the Pentagon has warned Daily Express US that “we are on the brink of World War 3” amid surging conflict in the Middle East sparked largely by Iran.

The source inside the Pentagon that issued this rather ominous warning is a man named Nicholas Drummond, and he claims that the current war in the Middle East could literally result in “the end of Iran”…

Defence expert Nicholas Drummond echoed concerns that the conflict in the Middle East could potentially escalate but warned that if Tehran directly attacked Israel, the ensuing war would be “the end of Iran”.

So exactly what sort of weapons would be required to bring about “the end of Iran”?

You might want to reflect on that for a moment.

There is also a lot of talk about World War III in Russia.  In fact, one of Russia’s most prominent news anchors named Vladimir Solovyov recently told his audience that our planet is “moving towards World War III”…

“We are moving towards World War III. In my opinion, it’s already underway. By the way Trump thinks so too,” the Russian presenter added, as he tried to cut to a soundbite of the former president condemning U.S. strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen.

Yes, he was actually quite correct about Donald Trump.

Not too long ago, Trump publicly warned a crowd in Iowa that “we’re very close to World War III”…

“World War III, we’re very close. I don’t know if you feel it. I don’t know, madam attorney general, if you feel it, but we’re very close to World War III when you see these discussions taking place.”

Personally, I am entirely convinced that World War III has already started, but what Trump and others are talking about is the hot phase when missiles start flying all over the place and millions of people die.

And we are so close to that right now.  The following comes from a Daily Mail article entitled “The descent into World War 3: How Russia, Iran and China are simultaneously making moves that will drag us all into conflict”…

Leaked German intelligence documents suggest Berlin expects Russia to launch another wave of attacks to overwhelm Ukraine, and is scrambling to come up with contingency plans in the event Russian troops march westward from Belarus.

Civil Defence Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin sent shockwaves through Europe as he said there “could be war in Sweden”.  Referring to emergency planners and authorities who should prepare for worst-case scenarios, he said: “If there is one thing that keeps me awake at night, it is the feeling that things are moving too slowly.”

Swedish military commander-in-chief General Micael Byden supported this take, saying Swedes should prepare mentally for the possibility of a conflict in light of the rising global tensions and the constant threat posed by Russia.

The Swedish general, who visited Ukraine’s eastern front in December, later told Aftonbladet newspaper: “My ambition with this is not to worry people; my ambition is to get more people to think about their own situation and their own responsibilities.”

Sweden’s bid to access NATO, which only needs a green light from Turkey and Hungary, has also increased fears of a retaliatory move by the Kremlin.

In December, a few months after Finland joined the Western alliance after ditching its neutral stance, Vladimir Putin ominously said: “They [the West] took Finland and dragged it into NATO! Why, did we have any disputes with Finland? All disputes, including those of a territorial nature in the middle of the 20th century, have all been resolved long ago.

“There were no problems, but now there will be, because we will now create the Leningrad military district there and definitely concentrate military units there.”

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sweden has been providing aid to the war-torn country and is one of the nations training Ukrainian pilots ahead of the delivery of military aircraft.

Deputy Chair of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev claimed in a post to X in early December that there hasn’t been such a high threat of “direct confrontation” between Russia and NATO since the Cold War, criticizing President Joe Biden’s administration for funding Ukraine’s fight against Russia and causing a prolonged war.

Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Russian-state-owned broadcaster RT, predicted on Monday that World War III will “definitely” break out in the Middle East.

In a series of posts to X, formerly Twitter, Simonyan, who the U.S. State Department deems a Kremlin propagandist, raised questions about when world powers, including the United States, would spark a major conflict.

“And now the third world war,” Simonyan posted to X Monday evening. “Whether a world war will break out now or a little later depends on whether Washington believes that it will be useful to it now, before the elections, or vice versa. Judging by the choral silence of the American media, they are still thinking.”

“A world war will definitely start,” Simonyan said in a separate post on Monday. “And with almost complete probability – precisely in the Middle East.”

The Israel-Hamas conflict threatens to spread violence across the Middle East, with Iran’s so-called ‘Axis of Resistance’ – including Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthi rebels – increasing their attacks on Israel and commercial shipping routes, prompting the UK and US to launch a series of devastating strikes by air and sea.

Further East, Taiwan’s election of a new democracy-loving president has angered Beijing even further, with a Chinese invasion of the island nation in the coming years looking ever more likely.

It is likely that the Middle East will be the first flashpoint to fully erupt.

The region has become so unstable over the past couple of months, and the entire world was stunned this week when Iran decided to launch missiles and drones into Iraq, Syria and Pakistan…

Within 24 hours, Iran launched missile and drone strikes on targets in three countries — Iraq, Syria and Pakistan — and took the extraordinary step of announcing its responsibility for the attacks, triggering anger from its neighbors.

So why did Iran do this?

The Iranians claim that the strike in Iraq targeted “an Israeli spy hub”…

Baghdad recalled its ambassador to Iran after the Monday night attack on its northern semi-autonomous Kurdistan region killed four civilians and injured at least six. Tehran said the strike targeted an Israeli spy hub near the U.S. consulate in Erbil, the Kurdistan regional capital city. Iraqi Kurdish Prime Minister Masrour Barzani rejected the Iranian claim, describing the attack as a “crime against the Kurdish people.”

Iraq’s Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, called the attacks a “violation of international law” and said it would file a complaint with the U.N. Security Council. France’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Iran was “contributing to the escalation of regional tensions — and it must stop.”

As for the strikes in Syria and Pakistan, the Iranians claim that they were trying to hit Sunni groups that commit acts of terrorism…

Tehran also hit what it said were Islamic State targets in northern Syria in tandem with its strikes on Iraq. It then went on to target the headquarters of a Sunni armed group in Pakistan’s western Balochistan province near the Iranian border.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that it “strongly condemns the unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran” which it said killed two children and injured three more. It added that “it is even more concerning that this illegal act has taken place despite the existence of several channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran.”

In response, Pakistan launched strikes on separatist militants inside Iran on Thursday with Iranian media saying several missiles hit a village in the Sistan-Baluchestan province that borders Pakistan, killing at least nine people, including four children.

The tit-for-tat strikes are the highest-profile cross-border intrusions in recent years and could potentially draw Pakistan into the war in the Middle East.

And let us not forget that Pakistan has nuclear weapons.

It is very unusual for Iran to be this aggressive directly instead of using it’s proxies to do it’s dirty work.

And Iran’s Defense Minister is promising that his nation will not hesitate to conduct similar missile strikes in the future…

The morning after Iranian attacks on neighboring Pakistan and Iraq, Iran’s defense minister vowed Wednesday that his country would “not set any limits” on using its missile capabilities against enemies whenever necessary.

“We are a missile power in the world,” the minister, Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, told reporters at a Cabinet meeting, according to state media. “Wherever they want to threaten the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will react, and this reaction will definitely be proportionate, tough and decisive.”

Meanwhile, the IDF and Hezbollah continue to pummel one another along Israel’s northern border…

The Israeli armed forces carried out a massive wave of airstrikes and artillery fire against targets in the Saluki valley in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, following repeated attacks against Israeli targets by the Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah.

According to Israel Defense Forces, the terror group “makes extensive use” of the valley for its activities, hiding its weapons and infrastructures in the valley’s forested areas.

According to Lebanese reports, the Israeli airstrike was among the largest of the war so far, hitting 15 different targets in at least 30 launched strikes.

And on Tuesday the U.S. military actually hit the Houthis in Yemen with a “pre-emptive attack” because the Houthis were apparently getting ready to launch more anti-ship ballistic missiles…

On Tuesday US forces carried out another round of strikes on Houthi sites in Yemen, but this time the operation is being dubbed a “pre-emptive” attack that came in response to militants preparing missile launches on the ground in real time.

“US forces struck and destroyed four Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles,” a Central Command (CENTCOM) statement saud. “These missiles were prepared to launch from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and presented an imminent threat to both merchant and US Navy ships in the region.”

War is here.

In fact, 2024 is going to be a year of war, and wherever conflict happens the U.S. is almost certainly going to be involved.

So how will the American people respond as the world erupts in flames?

In recent weeks, we have seen crazed protesters in support of the Palestinians do some very alarming things in Washington, New York, Los Angeles and elsewhere.

But the truth is that World War III is still only in the very early stages.  So what is going to happen once global events spiral completely out of control?

Unfortunately, I believe that it won’t be too long before we find out.

Disease X: Governments Are Preparing For A Scarier New Pandemic

Breaking News Updates – January 18, 2024

Disease X: Governments Are Preparing For A Scarier New Pandemic
 BY MARIE HAWTHORNE/ORGANIC PREPPER JANUARY 18, 2024
While the Disease X Act of 2023 was introduced to Congress quietly over the summer, in the past week, Disease X fearmongering has been everywhere, just in time for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos.

Have you heard of the Disease X Act of 2023?  I hadn’t, until this week.

In June, a bipartisan bill was introduced to the House of Representatives to develop medical countermeasures for viruses with pandemic potential.  Later in June, when the bill was introduced to the Senate, a section had been added suggesting a budget of $40 million per year for 2024 through 2028.

This $40 million annually would be on top of the 5% of our healthcare budget we will be expected to pay the World Health Organization (WHO), assuming the Pandemic Accord passes.

What is Disease X, how likely are we to encounter it, and how concerned should we be?

Back in 2018, the WHO came up with the name “Disease X” as a placeholder for any disease that hadn’t been discovered yet.  The name “Disease X” gets thrown around in the press every few years for a few weeks at a time, stirring up fear of the next pandemic.  In fact, the New York Times referred to Covid as Disease X in a February 2020 opinion piece.

And while the Disease X Act of 2023 was introduced to Congress quietly over the summer, in the past week, Disease X fearmongering has been everywhere, just in time for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos.

On Wednesday, WHO chief Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus will give a talk at Davos titled “Preparing for Disease X,” in which he will attempt to sell the world on the “novel efforts needed to prepare healthcare systems for the multiple challenges ahead.”  This statement is based on the assumption that Disease X will be far deadlier than Covid.

They’ve tied Disease X to climate change.

WEF-affiliated figures like Tedros believe we should be living in fear of new diseases emerging due to climate change. What’s the rationale?  As permafrost melts and environments change, animals move around, and new interactions between humans and animals occur.  With increasing and varied human-animal interaction, so increases the threat of new diseases.

We’re also supposed to be afraid of diseases mutating within livestock and then jumping to humans. This is actually a real issue. Concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOS) have been known to spawn various strains of swine and avian flu viruses.

However, make no mistake about it.  Proposed measures within the Pandemic Accord will not be about improving animal welfare but about ending livestock agriculture and consolidating the food supply, as we’ve discussed elsewhere.

If this sounds outrageous, look into OneHealth.  This refers to the idea that, since the health of humans, animals, and the environment is all interconnected, all sectors need to be looked at in conjunction with each other to address new diseases.

We are all connected.  However, by linking animal and environmental health with human health, if the Pandemic Accord is implemented, governments will be able to take action regarding livestock practices if the WHO declares a pandemic.  It could also potentially give climate emergencies the same priority as health emergencies.

Again, this may sound far-fetched, but these conclusions have been drawn by people far more intelligent and qualified than I am.  In October, Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, both professors in evolutionary biology, discuss the broader implications of the WHO Pandemic Accord as it relates to OneHealth.

Wait…what about gain-of-function research?

While it should be fairly obvious that any new pandemics will be blamed on zoonotic transmission, just as Covid was, I believe we should be far more concerned about the gain-of-function research that still takes place in laboratories around the world.

Chinese researchers recently developed a form of coronavirus that killed 100% of the mice exposed to it within eight days.  When Dr. John Campbell, a trusted British health practitioner, tried to draw attention to this research, YouTube removed his video.

The fact that mainstream media is trying to make us afraid of Disease X at the same time they’re trying to cover up gain-of-function research should be all the evidence we need that something nasty is being brewed up for the general population.

Much of what goes on in the press is predictive programming.  In March 22, 2018, EcoHealthAlliance posited that Disease X might come from a cave in Guangdong Province. While it’s clear now that COVID came from a laboratory, in 2020 and 2021, groups like the EcoHealthAlliance spent a lot of time and money trying to convince the world that no, seriously, COVID came from bat caves.

And though Covid was not particularly dangerous for young, healthy individuals, Disease X may be more serious.  The phrase “20 times deadlier than Covid” has been getting tossed around a lot.  I don’t think we should take it lightly.

Three reason the next virus could be more deadly

There are three possible reasons to expect a more lethal virus the next time around, besides the fact that the WHO and WEF keep saying to expect it.

The first possibility is that the Davos-types have been surprised at the amount of pushback they received regarding the Covid response.  Many people, even in blue states, have gotten into the habit of ignoring recommendations.  Journalists like Matt Orfalea are making sure that the ridiculous things we were supposed to believe during Covid are not getting memory-holed.

While I personally find the amount of peaceful noncompliance inspiring, I also don’t expect the folks at Davos to simply let this slide.  The British Covid inquiry has been postponed indefinitely for no clear reason. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the Davos folks decided to throw something truly miserable our way out of spite.  Most of them should be fine. They’ve all got their Doomsday bunkers, as Daisy recently noted.

The second possibility is that Davos believes if Disease X makes enough people seriously ill, the population will beg for the authoritarian controls Davos so wants to implement.  I’m not sure how that will work out; I think it depends on how tightly they can control the flow of information.  If they can convince enough people that Disease X emerged naturally, maybe average citizens will trust the “experts” enough to let them take the reins.

However, if evidence emerges that Disease X comes from a lab, people are going to be furious.  The WEF knows this; it’s not a coincidence that their theme this year is “Rebuilding Trust.”

And the third possibility would be a desire for general mayhem.  Many of us have known since 2008 that our financial system is sick and that a crash is inevitable.

Naturally there will be a public uproar whenever that happens. An exotic disease can provide a major distraction.

Diseases = Mayhem

An exotic disease could also distract from the many geopolitical disasters bubbling up around the world.  Or it could throw a monkey wrench into the next political cycle.  If we have some kind of Cyber 9/11 event, a disease could obscure who’s really behind it.

And that’s the beautiful thing about disease if you want to create mayhem.  Diseases just happen.  And even if there’s evidence that gain-of-function research is behind new diseases, many people are not scientifically literate enough to seriously question what they are told by the mainstream media.

Thanks to modern sanitation and the availability of antibiotics and many other modern medicines, we should probably be less fearful of disease now than at any other time, simply because we have so many treatment options.  And, if we choose to do so, those of us living in countries with access to clean water and adequate food can take pretty good care of ourselves.

However, we have not been told to take care of ourselves in the past few years.  We’ve not been told how amazing First World sanitation prevents most of the diseases developing countries still struggle with, such as cholera.  We’re not encouraged to get outside, get our Vitamin D, and exercise.  We’re not encouraged to eat healthy food.  We’re just encouraged to “trust the experts” and continue taking whatever newest pharmaceutical products they recommend.

Don’t live in fear of Disease X. But take care of your health.

I don’t think it’s wise to live in fear of the latest current thing; I do think it’s wise to take care of our own health.

I also think it’s wise to pay attention to what’s going on.  I’m going to watch Tedros’ speech when it’s available.  I want to know what they have planned.

But I’m also going to plan my garden and continue planning for the future with my kids.  Prepping is not about living in fear; it’s about being situationally aware and doing your best with what you have so that you don’t have to be afraid of whatever comes next.

Mentioning Jesus Christ On NBC? NFL Star Learns That Will Get You Censored

C. J. Stroud gave one of the most powerful and matter of fact testimonies that I have ever heard, in or out of the world of sports. His testimony was censored by the major networks (NBC). I really believe he did not care. He simply uplifts the Lord Jesus Christ when God opens the door. I believe he probably is used to it and even expects it. Why?

2 Timothy 3:12 King James Version

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Thank you for your faithfulness C. J., and for being an inspiration to me. In Christ, Pastor Steve <><

Mentioning Jesus Christ On NBC? NFL Star Learns That Will Get You Censored
 BY SARAH HOLLIDAY/WASHINGTON STAND JANUARY 20, 2024
It’s disconcerting to realize NBC is actively censoring a player praising Jesus after a massive win. Would NBC have censored his speech if he praised transgenders or Palestinians?

After Saturday’s historic win, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud wanted to make sure God got the glory first. The NFL’s Rookie of the Year finalist led the team to victory and was immediately interviewed by NBC to talk about the team’s trip to the playoffs. “First and foremost,” Stroud said, “I just want to give all glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Stroud is well known for his athleticism, but he’s also known for his deep Christian faith in real life and on social media. As journalist Bobby Burack wrote, “Stroud is rightfully front and center of the sports conversation. And so is his faith.” In a world of intense politicization, Stroud is determined to identify unabashedly as a follower of Christ. But not without censorship from the media.

The “Sunday Night Football on NBC” account posted the interview on X, but the line where the football player praised God was edited out. They captioned the post saying, “CJ Stroud has a lot of love for his city.” But those who knew the player was proclaiming his love for God are calling out the network for removing the comment about Jesus. Lenny Dykstra, former New York Mets star, said, “I have a feeling there are going to be a lot more post-postseason win interviews with him that the dinosaur media is going to have to edit as well.”

Citizen Free Press criticized the decision. “It’s disconcerting to realize NBC is actively censoring a player praising Jesus after a massive win. Would NBC have censored his speech if he praised transgenders or Palestinians?” Another user said, “These are the same people who have no problem showing BLM propaganda all over their show. Because that’s OK and acceptable. Mentioning Jesus Christ? That’s considered hate speech.” And many other fans continue to express their disapproval of NBC’s tampering.

But Stroud has made it clear that his faith comes first, and he continues to reiterate that, no matter how the media reacts. “It’s what’s kept me grounded through my season,” he said earlier last year. “Football has a lot of ups and downs, it has a lot of twists and turns, but at the end of the day, it’s all about your foundation. And something that’s set my foundation is my faith.”

Joseph Backholm, senior fellow for Biblical Worldview and Strategic Engagement at Family Research Council, shared with The Washington Stand that “it’s not unusual for a player to thank God publicly during comments after a game,” but what we’re seeing is that the “priests of the sexual revolution are uniquely triggered by the name of Jesus.”

He continued, “They’re more inclined to tolerate someone who thanks God because it’s vague. The name of Jesus is not vague. It’s likely C.J. Stroud would have been tolerated, if not celebrated, for letting his authentic self be seen if he had thanked ‘Mother God’ or the ‘divine light within.’ But his words glorifying Jesus obviously triggered someone” at NBC.

Backholm explained that Stroud is an example for other believers of how Christians should live. “It’s clear he has made a conscious decision to deflect praise from himself to Jesus, which is good for his soul,” he said. “But it’s also encouraging to everyone watching to see people speaking publicly and favorably about Jesus in a context many would see as secular.”

As he pointed out, “If this happens often, it becomes normal and easy to do. If it happens rarely or never, it becomes strange or difficult to do.” So, standing boldly in faith as Stroud uses his platform for is significant “because it makes it easier for other people to do likewise.”

The Pope Cannot Overrule God

The Pope is not and never has been God’s Vicar on earth. Nowadays, it is clear that he is nothing but a mere apostate and heretic, leading millions of his sheeple into the ditch.Perhaps Catholics will now understand the need of the Protestant Church. Pastor Steve <><

The Pope Cannot Overrule God
 BY MICHAEL BROWN/ASKDRBROWN.ORG JANUARY 16, 2024
No priest or Pope or pastor or spiritual leader can bless something that God Himself does not bless. Their words are empty and void of divine power or authority. They are human utterances and nothing more.

If you have followed my writing and speaking over the decades, you will know that Catholicism has not been a focus of my ministry, either praising it or criticizing it.

At the same time, I recognize the important role of the Catholic Church in standing for the sanctity of life and the meaning of marriage. That’s what makes the recent pronouncement of Pope Francis, allowing priests to “bless” same-sex couples, especially distressing.

What act of apostasy will be next?

My Catholic colleague John Zmirak wrote on Tuesday,

“Today I got one of those emails nobody wants to receive. You know, the ones where a journalist informs you that the leader of your church has authoritatively endorsed grave, unrepented sin; mocked not just timeless and current church teaching but the natural law itself; and opened up faithful clergy to persecution by the State. And by the way, would you like to comment?” (Later in his article, Zmirak references “Pope Francis’ poisonous reign of error.”)

Specifically, quoting from the Washington Times,

“Pope Francis on Monday approved letting priests bless same-sex couples, sparking criticism from conservative Catholics and praise from the LGBTQ community.

“Such blessings would not rise to the level of church-sanctioned same-sex marriages, the Vatican cautioned, but would offer gay Catholics the opportunity to seek God’s mercy without being subjected to ‘an exhaustive moral analysis.’

“The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith issued the declaration, ‘Fiducia supplicans,’ with the pope’s approval but not his signature less than three months after a papal letter said such blessings were possible so long as they ‘do not transmit a wrong conception of marriage.'”

This is not just a step in the wrong direction. It is theological double-talk, spiritual drivel, and a mockery of the Word of God.

Surely, faithful Catholics around the world will reject this apostate message.

It has no support in Scripture, in divine morality, or in historic Church tradition, whether Catholic, Orthodox, or Protestant.

And so, rather than try to parse the theological nuances of the Pope’s statement, which in the end helps no one and harms many, let me be straightforward.

No priest or Pope or pastor or spiritual leader can bless something that God Himself does not bless. Their words are empty and void of divine power or authority. They are human utterances and nothing more.

As much as a gay couple may be in love, as much as they may revere the traditions of their Church (at least, some of the traditions), and as much as they may be models of kindness and loyalty, the fact is that male + male or female + female represents a fundamental violation of the meaning of marriage, not to mention a fundamental violation of the nature and purpose of humanity.

How then, can a priest bless a couple whose very relationship goes against the order and plan of God? And, speaking in particular of two gay men, how can a priest, representing the Lord, bless them when the Lord Himself deems their sexual relationship to be something detestable in His sight (Leviticus 18:22) and when Paul says that those who practice such things will be excluded from the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

You might say, “You fundamentalists are always attacking homosexuality. What about adultery? What about other kinds of sexual immorality? What about all you Bible-thumping Christians who are addicted to porn?”

But that’s the whole point.

If a Christian leader said, “We are now blessing couples living in adultery,” there would be outrage.

If that leader said, “We are now offering special blessings for all the couples living together out of wedlock,” there would be pushback.

If a church had a weekly porn night where after worship and prayer, the congregants would watch porn, it would set the internet ablaze.

But that is not happening, except perhaps in the case of divorces without biblical justification, followed by illegitimate marriages which are sometimes “blessed” by compromised clergy.

Otherwise, no major Church leaders are sanctioning adultery or fornication or pornography. But some are sanctioning same-sex unions (or, in more compromised settings, same-sex “marriages”).

That is why we respond as we do.

It’s the same thing with LGBTQ+ activism in general.

That activism is affecting children in our nursery schools and young adults on our college campuses. It is everywhere in our society, from social media to the world of sports, and from TV and Hollywood to the business world.

We cannot avoid confronting LGBTQ+ activism and ideology wherever we turn, so we either push back with our own values or we cave in and capitulate.

It’s the same with the Pope’s ridiculous pronouncement. There must be a reply.

The fact that, “Such blessings would not rise to the level of church-sanctioned same-sex marriages” is meaningless.

The “blessings” would sanction something God does not sanction and give false assurances to the couples involved. And is there a gay Catholic on the planet who would not see this as another step in the direction of the ultimate goal, namely, the full acceptance of gay relationships by the Catholic Church?

As for the notion that these blessings were possible as long as they “do not transmit a wrong conception of marriage,” my response is short and sweet: Are you kidding me?

Really now, is the Pope telling us a gay couple can live together, can be emotionally and physically intimate, and can commit to lifelong faithfulness without transmitting a wrong conception of marriage? What is the big difference between the two – other than the obvious fact that two men or two women cannot marry in God’s sight?

In August, I addressed the Church of England’s decision to allow Anglican clergy to “bless” same-sex couples, yet another apostate step made by this rapidly declining faith group.

What will now happen with the Catholic Church?

That is for Catholics to answer, but without question, this could lead to a major rift of sorts, as the strong, conservative elements of the Church will reject this pronouncement outright, whatever the cost. The effects could be seismic. (As I noted in that August article, it is “progressive” Christianity that is dying; the real gospel is thriving.)

As for the gay Catholic couples who see this as a beacon of hope and a sign of the humanity and compassion of the Church, I don’t pretend to see the world through their eyes, and I don’t claim to understand the pain and the struggle they have endured.

I will just say this, with brokenness, not with triumphalism: I don’t doubt your love for each other. I don’t doubt that part of you really wants to honor the Lord.

But I can only tell you the truth. God has a better way, and He never intended you to unite with someone of the same sex.

If you will lay your life before Him, surrendering fully to Jesus as Lord, He will forgive all your sins and give you a fresh new start.

Cry out to Him today!

Prophetic Mega-Trends Reshaping Our World In 2024

I have had the opportunity to listen to Mark Hitchcock at Prophecy Conferences and he is indeed true to the Word, and aligns prophecy with current events in a marvelous fashion. Enjoy the following article.

Maranatha, Pastor Steve <><

Breaking News Updates – January 10, 2024

BY MARK HITCHCOCK/ HARBINGER’S DAILY JANUARY 10, 2024

AI, China’s impact on global events, upcoming elections, major developments in Israel, and many more events are shaping the world in 2024. I would like to provide a brief overview of what I consider “six mega-trends” for the upcoming year, which carry important prophetic significance.

#1 — Artificial Intelligence

The first prophetic mega-trend that I see is AI. Artificial intelligence has really come on the scene in a dramatic way over the last year, but it’s going to continue to accelerate into a mushroom as we go into 2024.

All the things that come from AI will be tools that will be used by the Antichrist. It’s clear that he’ll come and exploit this kind of technology in his domination of the world; therefore, it’s important to keep up to date on what is happening in the development of AI.

#2 — China’s Impact On Global Events

China, I believe, will be the leader of the kings of the East, mentioned in Revelation 16, that will be part of the campaign of Armageddon.

Just in the last few days, the country has been talking about the reunification of China, which means taking Taiwan and making it part of the communist regime.

Many people believe that China right now is sensing US weakness. They look ahead to next November, when someone else could be elected into office, and believe that China is going to seize the opportunity between now and the elections to attack Taiwan. This is something that we have to keep our eyes on.

The elections this coming year are a huge issue that will determine, in many ways, our country’s future. China could very well act this year, maybe early in the year, because they’re sensing US weakness and take Taiwan, just as Russia has invaded Ukraine.

#3 — Digital Currencies

Another prophetic mega-trend is digital currencies, which are paving the way to the one-world economy of the Antichrist.

#4 — Narratives Surrounding Climate Change

Another point that we often overlook is climate change. Climate change is being grossly over-exaggerated to exert greater control over people’s lives. Just last month, the COP28 annual UN Climate Change Conference was held in Dubai. Climate change is being whipped up constantly as an “existential crisis” for the world–and that’s simply not true.

I recently read a book on climate change called “False Alarm.” The author actually believes in climate change and that human beings contribute to that through carbon dioxide, but says it’s massively over-exaggerated. According to the author, if America shuts down all fossil fuels today, it would only lower the temperature by a mere .3º Fahrenheit by 2100.

What we see again is that the creation of a crisis can bring about compliance and gain control. That is what climate change is, and it’s paving the way for the global control that we will see exercised by the Antichrist.

#5 — Russia

The fifth prophetic mega-trend is Russia. An article this week stated that Russia’s ties with Israel are at the lowest point since the fall of the Soviet Union. Another article called it the “end of a friendship” between Israel and Russia.

Russia has chosen to align itself with the Palestinians in this Israel-Gaza war. As a result, their relationship with Israel is at a near all-time low. This development points toward the future war described in Ezekiel 38-39.

#6 — Israel and the Middle East

Finally, the most important and significant mega-trend is Israel and the Middle East. This is the flashing red light.

We are more than 90 days into the Israel-Gaza war, and recent events that are happening in Israel could cause this conflict to explode into a wider battle.

Israel’s mission to hunt down Hamas is stoking fears of an escalation of this war. On Tuesday, Israel assassinated the person that many believed to be the number two leader of Hamas. Saleh al-Arouri was assassinated in Beirut, Lebanon, and was the linchpin of relations between Hamas, Iran, and Hezbollah.

Of course, this has been decried by Hezbollah, Iran, Lebanon, and others, but Israel has vowed to neutralize–a nice word for assassinate–the leaders of Hamas, tracking them down wherever they are, even after the war is over. Most of them can be found in Lebanon, Qatar, and Turkey.

Last week, an Israeli airstrike in Syria killed a senior figure in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, showing Israel is also assassinating leaders from Iran as well.

Wednesday was the fourth anniversary of the American drone attack in Iraq, ordered by President Trump, that killed the Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. Iran had scheduled a big ceremony in commemoration of Soleimani on Wednesday morning. However, on the road to the cemetery, two explosions changed their plans and killed approximately 100 people.

Blame for this has not yet been assigned. Iran has called it a terrorist attack. Certainly, Israel could have been behind this, but it may have been Sunni Muslims attacking the Shiites in Iran; we may never know. Nevertheless, all of this is stoking fears of escalation.

Meanwhile, Turkey has just arrested 33 People who were suspected of being Mossad agents, which is essentially Israel’s version of the CIA. Turkey believes they’ve uncovered an Israeli spy ring and are looking for 13 more individuals they insist have links to Mossad.

Turkey has said very clearly that if Israel attacks any Hamas leaders on Turkish soil, there will be serious consequences. They have also stepped up their support for Gaza since October 7th.

The Spark That Ignites The Fuse

Iran is obviously a veteran enemy of Israel, but we can also now see Russia and Turkey’s relationship with Israel deteriorating. These are the three key players in the Ezekiel 38 invasion. All three of these relationships with Israel have come to an all-time low.

This area of the world today is experiencing a series of pinprick attacks that constantly put more and more gas on the fire. Behind all of this, you have the Israel-Gaza war that shows no signs of dwindling.

Add to that what’s happening over in the Red Sea with the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who are firing at American warships, and Iranian warships now entering the Red Sea.

All of these different events, or the combination of them, could easily be the spark that ignites the fuse to blow up this Middle East powder keg and can so easily precipitate the war of Ezekiel 38.

Over the last few weeks, I read a book by Dr. David Jeremiah called “The Great Disappearance.” He opens the book with these words:

“You and I are privileged to stand on the cresting waves of prophecy, to live in a time closer to the return of Jesus Christ than any other generation in the history of the world. We sense the nearness of His return; we see the signs of the times; we know the world is reaching a climactic point of unparalleled crisis.”

I think we all sense that. And it should lead all of us to say, Even so, come Lord Jesus.

The Fig Tree Is Alive: Are We Among The Generation That ‘Shall Not Pass Away’?
 BY AMIR TSARFATI/HARBINGER’S DAILY DECEMBER 20, 2023
So, which generation was Jesus talking about when he said, “this generation shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:34)? He was speaking of the generation that will see the fig tree come back to life. But who is the fig tree and how long is a generation?

Hebrews 1 says, “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds…” So, here we are seeing that Jesus never contradicted a single verse from the prophets. In fact, He continued in the same mantle.

Toward the end of His ministry, Jesus was on the Mount of Olives surrounded by His disciples. None of His disciples were “Christian” at that point. They were Jewish.

So, Jesus taught his Jewish disciples while He was in Jerusalem. And to make it very clear, in the history of planet Earth, Jerusalem was never the capital of any other nation but Israel. So, here you have the Jewish Messiah speaking to His Jewish disciples in the Jewish capital of the Jewish people.

We have to understand that the questions He was asked by his disciples–to which He gave a great, lengthy, and detailed answer–were authentic Jewish issues related to the Jewish Temple, the Messiah, and the last days.

No Gentile at the time was thinking about the last days, the Messiah, or the Temple in Jerusalem. Jesus was talking to Jews about Jewish matters that only interested the Jews. He spoke on the Mount of Olives. That is why Matthew 24 is called the Olivet Discourse.

By the way, He was not angry with their questions. He understood exactly where they were coming from and took His time to give them a detailed answer. First, in verses 4 to 31, He spoke to His Jewish disciples about the future of the Jews. But then, starting in verse 32, He also gave them a different perspective of things to come. And He was talking about something else, someone else, another group of people which, by the way, they are also part of.

Learn from the Fig Tree

In Matthew 24:32-35, Jesus said, “Now learn the parable from the fig tree…” In the middle of His teaching on Israel and all the things Israel will go through, He stops to tell His disciples: “Now listen, I want you to learn a parable from the fig tree.” In other words, He makes it clear that what He says about the fig tree is not literally about a fig tree; it’s a parable of the fig tree–a symbol of something different. He is basically saying: Look, “when its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know…” It’s not “you think” and it’s not “you guess.” It’s “you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see…”

Again, it’s not when you talk about it, it’s not when you hope for it, and it’s not when you dream of it. It’s “When you see” (with your very eyes) “all these things, know that it is near.” Not 200 yards away, not 200 miles away. Where? “Right at the door.” Right there!

So, Jesus reminds the disciples, “Look, the fig tree, remember the fig tree (of Matthew 21:18-20)? That fig tree that died, it’s going to come back to life.” Then He said, “the generation that will see the ‘rebirth’ of that tree, that generation shall not pass away till all these things take place” (Matthew 24:32-35). What things? His coming back.

God’s Word Stands Forever

Heaven and earth will pass away, but Jesus’ words will not pass away. Just like God said through Isaiah: “The flower fades, the grass withers, but the Word of God stands forever” (40:8). Wow!

So, Jesus stopped His entire description of the end times of Israel to tell His disciples, “Now listen. I want to talk to you now, not as Israel, but as My followers. If you follow Me, you can escape destruction. And, if you’re following Me and alive to see the fig tree blooming… that’s it! That’s the last generation.” Wow!

Before we talk about the fig tree, let’s talk about the word “generation.” Scholars, theologians, teachers, and pastors have pondered and debated about the timeframe of a generation. Some say it’s 20 years, some 30 years, some 40 years, others say longer.

But none of those answers are correct. We need to understand that biblically, a generation has always referred to the longevity of mankind. That means the time between conception and natural death. So, the average lifespan of a group of people living at about the same time constitutes the length of a generation. Before the Flood, the Bible tells us the average lifespan of a man was over 900 years. Today, if a man makes it to 100, he’s a celebrity.

So, which generation was Jesus talking about when he said, “this generation shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:34)? He was speaking of the generation that will see the fig tree come back to life. Wow!

I believe He is referring to believers who witness the most significant end-time prophecy: the “rebirth” of the fig tree–the rebirth of Israel.

Israel Reborn

Israel in the Scriptures was described by three different types of trees: the vine, the fig tree, and the olive tree. Each of them was a symbol of something else. The vine symbolizes Israel’s spiritual privileges (Psalm 80, Isaiah 5, and Jeremiah 2). The fig tree symbolizes Israel’s national privileges (Hosea 9, Jeremiah 24, and, of course, Matthew 24). The olive tree represented Israel’s religious privileges (Hosea 14, Isaiah 17, Isaiah 24, Psalm 52, Psalm 128, and Romans 11). Romans 11 speaks specifically of Israel as the “good olive tree” and the Gentiles as the “wild olive tree.” Some of the branches of the original olive tree were chopped off, and the Gentiles, the wild olive tree, were grafted in.

So, Gentile believers are now partakers of the blessing with Israel–not instead of Israel. In fact, the Church can trust the promises of God because He keeps His covenant with Israel. And the fig tree is coming back to life! It was cursed, but it is not dead forever.

When the Jewish people started coming back to the land of Israel toward the end of the 1800s, they found exactly what Mark Twain wrote in his diary as a traveler: “I’ve never seen such a barren wasteland in my life where we hardly saw a living creature.” So God first inspired the Jewish people to return to their homeland. That is the meaning of “Zionism”–the Jewish belief that your place is in Zion. So, the desire to go to Israel was the beginning of that fig tree returning to life! In Ezekiel 36:8, God said: “But you, O mountains of Israel, you will put forth your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel, for they will soon come.”

The Lord knew that there was no way that hundreds of thousands and later millions of Jews could thrive in a barren wasteland. It would never work. So what did the Lord do? He spoke fertility, and boom! Look what happened–today Israel exports food. While farm workers are only 3.8% of the workforce in Israel, they produce almost 100% of our food. Israeli cows are the most productive cows in the world. Israel leads the world in technology to extract water even from the air. Israel invented the drip irrigation system and exports desalination installations around the world. It uses solar energy like no other country does. And 90% of its wastewater is being purified and recycle for agriculture.

One of the smallest nations on earth, Israel is thriving. That’s God’s way of saying, “The fig tree is coming back to life.”

Ezekiel 36 talked about how God would heal the land in preparation for the Jews to return to their land. Then in Ezekiel 37, Ezekiel was brought to a valley full of dry bones. He was so terrified that he asked, “What is this?” The Lord replied, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold they say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are completely cut off!'”

That means they’re alive, but barely. Like a person with bones and skin–but hopeless and thinking that God has forgotten all about him. That was the picture we saw when Jews were liberated from Nazi death camps. Men, women, and children barely alive. Skin and bones, but no hope. And collectively believing, “God has forgotten all about us.” But God had promised, “Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel” (Ezekiel 37:12).

Not Palestine! Not Arab Land! The Land of Israel!

God Has Done It

Then He said, “Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. And I will put My Spirit within you, and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken and done it” (Ezekiel 37:13-14). Wow! And He has literally done that.

So, in 1948, the nation was born! Even then, Israel was born as a nation on the verge of annihilation every day–every single day of that year, the following year, and the following year after that. Every single day since 1948 has been a gift from God, because Israel was supposed to be destroyed!

The nations that came against Israel in 1948 have tried to destroy the land repeatedly and failed at every turn. What was it that they wanted in 1948? Oil? Gas? We had none of those. They wanted us to be cut off from being a nation so that the name of Israel would be remembered no more.

However, 1948 is also when we start counting a generation. Just consider what has changed since Israel’s modern founding. Israel was small, vulnerable, insecure, dangerous, and very poor. Compared to then, Israel today is safe, secure, and prosperous. But 75 years have passed since 1948.

I believe the Feasts of Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles will be fulfilled to the people of Israel when the Lord comes back. The Jewish people pray in Hebrew every morning: “May our eyes behold Your return to Zion with mercy.” They want Him to come, but they do not believe the Messiah is returning for a second time. They think He is coming for the first time.

Jewish people also understand that before the Messiah comes there will be a terrible time of tribulation. They believe that there has to be a great time of repentance. The repentance and God tabernacling physically on Earth with His people will happen as God fulfills those feasts to Israel just as He did with the first four feasts.

The importance of the Church and Israel is conveyed in God’s command in Numbers 10:1-2 for Moses to make two trumpets–two Silver trumpets. Why two? Why silver? Why trumpets? Trumpets are a means to announce the coming of someone. Silver is a precious metal, but not perfect. And two, because there are only two groups of people on earth that God called out, “You are My witnesses.” Israel in Isaiah 46 and the Church in Acts chapter 1.

Throughout the Old Testament history of Israel, the Church did not exist. But from the moment the Church was born, the nation of Israel was thrown out of the Land. Only since 1948 have the two co-existed to bear witness to the coming Messiah. The trumpets are sounding!

Are You Ready?

Some Christians are ready to go; others are simply tired. Either way, their attitude seems to be, “How long can we still stay here?” My response is Philippians 4:4: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” Paul went on to affirm, “The Lord is near.” That is why we need to rejoice, and why we need to “hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).

What hope? Our Blessed Hope! (Titus 2:13).

What promises has He kept? All of them! Everything He said has happened. Israel is back in the Land just as He said. The fig tree is alive!

We can rejoice that we are in the generation to see the sign of Israel. And, we can bless the Holy One of Israel–Who is the Lamb of God, and the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Emmanuel–Prince of Peace, King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Yeshua is the “light of revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of [His] people Israel” (Luke 2:32). And, He’s coming again soon!
