More Americans Preparing For The Collapse Of Society
BY MICHAEL SNYDER/ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG JANUARY 23, 2024
Are you convinced that we are headed for societal collapse? If so, you are definitely not alone. Survey after survey has shown that faith in all of our major institutions is dropping, and there is a growing consensus that very challenging times are ahead of us.

Here in 2024, we will be facing the most chaotic election season in our entire history, multiple wars are erupting all over the planet, economic problems are rapidly growing, destructive natural disasters are becoming more frequent, global authorities are warning us to brace ourselves for the next pandemic, and our cities are being absolutely overwhelmed by endless waves of new migrants.

The stage is set for a societal implosion of epic proportions, and many Americans are feverishly preparing for a coming collapse that they believe is inevitable.

For a long time, many people had faith that the government would be able to keep society stable, but now that has changed.  In fact, one recent survey discovered that a whopping 71.2 percent of all Americans “have no faith in the U.S. government to save them or prevent a doomsday event”…

According to a survey of 6,200 Americans conducted by BonusFinder.com, 71.2 percent of Americans say they have no faith in the U.S. government to save them or prevent a doomsday event. Even more unnerving, many respondents believe Doomsday could come within the next year.

If you actually believe that the government will be there to rescue you when things really start hitting the fan, you are just being delusional.

If it was equally divided up among the entire population, the emergency supplies that the government has on hand would last less than a day.

Many Americans are realizing that they will be forced to rely on themselves as society collapses, and so an increasing percentage of the population is spending significant money on emergency preparedness…

Last April, the financial-services firm Finder found that the number of Americans who said they’d recently spent money on emergency preparedness jumped from 20% in 2020 to 29% in 2023. They spent an average of $150 on items such as nonperishable food, medical supplies, and cases of water. Today you can’t turn on a streaming platform without catching recommendations for popular survivalist reality shows such as “Alone” or “Naked and Afraid,” and on social media, homesteading and disaster-prepping influencers have amassed millions of followers across various platforms.

Disaster preparedness is on the rise, in large part, because disasters are as well: from the supply-chain shortages caused by COVID-19 lockdowns to the climate crisis, from wars in Ukraine and Gaza to tech-driven loneliness, from runaway disinformation to intractable political polarization. More people are asking: Am I better off being hyperdependent on the global industrial economy? Would it be safer to grow my own food, store my own water, and not depend on complex systems I don’t understand?

I am glad that more people are waking up and getting prepared.

But spending a couple hundred dollars on some emergency preparedness items simply is not going to be enough to survive what is eventually coming.

In Missouri, one woman named Rowan MacKenzie has literally spent $90,000 to prepare her family for what she believes is ahead of us…

A woman who has built a doomsday bunker says the door will remain closed to anyone outside her home, including family.

Rowan MacKenzie, from Missouri, who became a social media phenomenon after revealing she’s been prepping her home for 12 years, believes it’s necessary to prepare for the end of the world.

She previously hit the headlines after revealing she spent over $90,000 on her hidden bunker stockpile.

The 38-year-old began stocking up her cupboards 13 years ago and initially, bought lifelong essentials, such as beans and rice, which she taught herself to preserve through trial and error.

Do you agree with her approach?

When things get really bad, will you shut your door to those that are requesting help?

Of course there are many that will just try to take whatever they need.  Crime rates are already spiking all over the nation, and violent predators are seemingly everywhere.  Earlier this week, Zero Hedge posted an excellent article about the vast hordes of psychopaths that are coming out of the woodwork these days…

Discussions on collapse often turn to signs and signals – The economy, politics and social tensions have become increasingly unstable for many years now, and much like adding more and more weight to a man standing on a frozen lake, eventually the ice is going to break. The question is, how do we know when that moment will be?

As cultural systems begins to dissolve due to political clashes and economic decline the real evil tends to slither out of the woodwork. It happens slowly at first, then all at once. A sure sign of accelerating collapse is the growing prevalence of psychopaths and psychopathic behavior in the open.

The US appears to have entered the middle stages of such a collapse with many sociopaths and psychopaths beginning to feel that they might be able to act out their worst impulses without consequences. They are beginning to test the waters to see what they can get away with.

Those paragraphs really resonated with me, because they are so true.

I am sure that you have noticed the same thing.  Evil is literally growing all around us, and the inmates are taking over the asylum.

And I am entirely convinced that 2024 is going to be a historic turning point.

Are you ready for the tremendous chaos that is coming?

If you have not figured out where you want to be located during the chaotic years that are ahead, that is the first thing that you need to do.

Once you have settled on a location, then you need to store up enough food and supplies for yourself and for everyone that will be depending upon you for as long as you plan to stay alive.

Of course you will also need to determine how you will protect all of your food and supplies as well.

This is not a game.

The collapse of society really is coming, and most of the population will find themselves completely and utterly unprepared when it finally happens.

Five Marks of a False Convert

Being a Christian is by far the greatest blessing one could receive. Who can reject the glory of God, and the awesome love and forgiveness that Jesus has to offer? Yet, sadly, there are many out there who have convinced themselves that they are Christians, when, unfortunately, they are not. Here is a shortlist of signs that you can use to examine yourself, or someone else, to test whether or not you are truly in the faith. This is by far not an exhaustive list, nor is it meant to discourage true believers.

Sign #1, Avoiding Persecution

There are many who claim to be believers and claim to know Christ as their Savior, and will even put on a good show of morality most of the time, but when proclaiming the name of Christ gets tough, they back down. This is not to say that a Christian will never have moments of weakness. We know from the Bible that even the great Apostle Peter denied Jesus three times (Matthew 26:34). But if you repeatedly find yourself retreating when you are being persecuted, or purposely deny or hide your Christianity in order to avoid persecution altogether, you probably have no reason to believe you are saved.

…A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.

Matthew 13:3-9

In the above passage, the Parable of the sower, Jesus speaks of those seeds that did not fall on good ground—they have no roots or foundation. Since they don’t have this good soil where they have been able to establish healthy roots, the intense heat of the sun just dries them up, and they wither away. This is what happens to professing Christians when they have no foundation to stand on. When they aren’t grounded in true saving faith, they tend to wither away when they face opposition. They won’t stand up for what they believe in because they don’t really believe it. Matthew 10:32-33 says,

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

If you don’t see yourself facing persecution, and standing your ground, or at least trying to stand your ground, you very well may be a false convert. If you find yourself resorting to acting like a carnal man when around other non-Christians in order to “fit in,” you may want to examine your heart to see if you are truly saved.

Sign #2, Constant Worry

This one seems to be one of the biggest problems among professing Christians. There are some who have a preoccupation with worry, especially about worldly things like food, clothing, and money.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. —Matthew 6:24-34

God promises us he will provide us with everything we need. If you find yourself constantly worrying about making ends meet, or you are not content with what you have been provided with, this is evidence that you are not putting your trust in God’s promises. Faith is the key requirement for salvation, for, without faith, one cannot be saved (Eph 2:8-9). Luke 8:13 says the false convert will receive the Word with joy, but the joy will be short-lived. You will eventually fall back into your state of worry and unfaithfulness. If you are perpetually worried about these things, then you are relying on yourself, rather than God, and you might be a false convert.

Sign #3, Unfruitful Relationships

Another sign that you or someone else may be a false convert is having little or no desire to develop friendships with other believers. When you are truly converted, and your desires are aligned with the will of God, you will long for friends that will lift you up in your walk with Christ, as well as hold you accountable (Ecc 4:9-12Proverbs 27:9). Moreover, James 4:4 says,

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

A true Christian wants to develop relationships that honor God. This does not necessarily mean that we can’t know and befriend any non-Christians at all, in fact, we are required to do so for the sake of sharing the Gospel. But that’s the key, our priority with non-Christian friends should be sharing the Gospel with them. The Bible also says

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? —2 Corinthians 6:14

Taking any friendship with non-Christians to the level of partnership, or fellowship is forbidden in Scripture. Yes, it’s understood that you have obligations to family members, and you are required to be close to them, but again, your priority with them as a Christian should be showing them the love of Christ. So if you find yourself putting off invitations to hang out with people in your Sunday School class because they make you feel uncomfortable, or if you find yourself more content with hanging out with non-Christian buddies from work, yet no desire to develop deep relationships with Christians, you might be a false convert.

Sign #4, Self Indulgence

Many Christians struggle with sin after they are saved. Bad habits are hard to break, even for the most faithful of believers. Some people may have smoking addictions, some people might curse. Some people may have a certain affinity towards self-gratification, indulging in things like unhealthy amounts of television, sports, entertainment, etc. Whatever the sin is, the true Christian will struggle with this.

This is one of the tougher areas for the Christian to attack because it takes an ongoing, conscious effort to break habits. However, one sign that you are at true convert is if you are actually struggling with this activity. If you are a true Christian, your desire is to be obedient to Christ and to become more Christ-like (1 John 2:6). As a Christian, you now represent Christ, and it is no longer you who lives, but Christ who lives in you (Galatians 2:20). You now live by faith, fending off your sins and worldly desires.

This is not to say that you won’t sin, or fall, but if you find yourself never struggling with your sin, never feeling any Godly sorrow for your sin, perhaps you need to rethink your standing in Christ. Christ gives you a new heart when you are saved, and removes your heart of stone (Ezekiel 36:26). If you’re always too busy to spend time in the Word of God, you might not be saved. If you’re putting off your relationship with Christ, skipping church, not reading your Bible, and not ministering to your family, yet you are watching football, you curse at work around your buddies, you find yourself angry and unforgiving often, and you feel no Godly remorse, you very well may be a false convert.

Sign #5, Pride

Probably the biggest tell-tale sign of a false convert is pride. Pride is the root of all of the other signs of a false convert. Proverbs 16:5 says “Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.” Arrogance is Satan’s number one tool to stop you from believing the Gospel, it stands in direct opposition to any form of repentance, and anyone who is proud cannot be saved.

However, there are many who are proud yet profess to be Christians. They run around naming the name of Christ, might have Christian bumper stickers on their cars, and they may even try to share the Gospel with others, but if you try to rebuke this person, or call this person out regarding their sin, they will reject you. They absolutely cannot stand to be told that they are wrong about something. They will mock you and argue with you, and never accept responsibility for their wrongdoings. Proverbs 9:8 says,

Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.

The scoffer, or mocker, will not be corrected, but one of the marks of being saved is someone who is humble and open to reproof. James 4:6 says,

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Those who are humble in spirit are repentant and receive God’s grace. If you always have an argumentative heart towards correction and reproof, and you are unable to hear when someone is confronting you about sin in your life, you very well may be a false convert. I’ll end with the following two passages addressing pride:

Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted. —Luke 18:10-14

When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you be invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this person,’ and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. —Luke 14:8-11

Conclusion

All Christians struggle with certain things, and some more than others. If you are a relatively new convert, expect to struggle more than the seasoned Christian who has been saved and serving God for 40 years. The fact is, you should be improving constantly in all of these areas. There may be ups and downs, but if you take a look at the last year of your life, and you see no improvement in any of these signs, I would suggest you start praying and ask God to open your eyes and reveal himself to you. I pray that this list is glorifying to God first and foremost, but also that it be edifying to those who take the time to read it.

Why Attending a Homosexual “Wedding” is Unbiblical, Part II: Implicit Endorsement of Sin and Compromise of Witness

In the unfolding narrative of our times, where the fabric of a biblical worldview is not just stretched but ripped to shreds, there arises a question for us as Christians hanging on to our faith by a thread: How do we navigate the complexities of our relationships while holding fast to the immutable truths of Scripture? The issue at hand is not merely one of personal conviction or social etiquette but a matter of aligning actions with divine ordinance in every aspect of our lives. This discourse, a continuation of our exploration into the reasons why attending a homosexual “wedding” is unbiblical, seeks to delve deeper into the subtleties of implicit endorsement of sin and the compromise of our witness as followers of Christ.

Overlooking, or turning a blind eye to sin is a sin itself and it is as ancient as the Scriptures themselves. Yet it finds new relevance in the context of modern society. Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-27 unequivocally categorize homosexual acts as sinful, setting a clear boundary for God’s people. To cross this boundary, even in the guise of social formality or familial obligation, is to tread on dangerous ground. It’s akin to navigating a minefield with blindfolds, where the stakes are the very souls of men and women. The well-known axiom from Amos 3:3, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” also echoes through the ages, reminding us that even our very presence at a celebration of that which the Scriptures describe as the judgment of God on mankind sends a message louder than words—a message that, however unintended, signals agreement with sin.

This is not about adopting a stance of superiority or an attitude of personal judgmentalism but about living in such a way that our lives do not contradict the Gospel we profess to believe. Ephesians 5:11 commands us to “take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Attendance at a ceremony celebrating a union that God hates not only muddies the waters of moral clarity but also, and more grievously, dims the light of truth we are called to bear into the world.

The compromise of witness that accompanies participation in such evil is a wound to the testimony of the church. Christians are called to be witnesses to the truth of God’s Word, a beacon of hope and a repository of the wisdom that comes from God’s revelation through His word. Acts 1:8 entrusts us with the mission to be Christ’s witnesses “to the ends of the earth.” Yet, how can we fulfill this calling if our actions betray our words? To engage in celebrations that affirm what God has declared to be sin is to weave a veil of confusion over the eyes of those watching us, obscuring the truth of the gospel of grace through faith.

This compromise is not merely a matter of personal failing or misguided love—it is a corporate affliction that weakens the church’s stance and dilutes the potency of the gospel message. It sends a signal to the world that the church’s convictions are negotiable, subject to the variable terrain of social approval and appeasement rather than anchored in the foundation of the Creator’s self-revelation. The result is a dilution of the call to repentance and faith and a blurring of the lines between holiness and hedonism.

In a culture that increasingly equates love with unconditional affirmation, the Christian’s call to truth and holiness is countercultural, even revolutionary. In a world filled with people who worship themselves, humility before God is the ultimate act of rebellion—rebellion against the pressure of an anti-Christ society. Our refusal to participate in events that celebrate sin is not an act of hate but an act of fidelity to the gospel, a refusal to compromise the message of redemption for the sake of social convenience. It is a declaration that our allegiance to Christ and His kingdom supersedes our desire for the approval of men.

As we navigate these turbulent waters, be guided not by the compass of cultural relativism but by submitting yourself to the lamp unto your feet, the light of Scripture. Our love for others should be measured not by our willingness to condone sin but by our commitment to speak the truth, in love and with grace, pointing always to the hope found in Jesus Christ—and most importantly, our willingness to separate from those who persist in such sin. In doing so, we do not merely stand against the tide, we become vessels of the very grace and truth that transforms hearts and renews minds.

In the end, our highest calling is not to be popular or well-liked but to be faithful stewards of the truths entrusted to us. With courage and conviction, we must stand firm in our commitment to uphold the sanctity of marriage, and all of God’s ordinances and statutes, as defined by Scripture, and in all things, strive to honor God, knowing that in His sovereign plan, our witness to the truth is never in vain.

Five Marks of a False Teacher

Five Marks of a False Teacher

by Publisher | Feb 15, 2024

In the pursuit of spiritual growth and understanding, the true Bride of Christ is a community that is rich in faith, hope, and love, all bound together by the Word of God. Yet, within this visible body, there lurks a danger that threatens the very fabric of our faith—false teachers. These people, driven by their own desires and agendas, stealthily introduce destructive heresies, leading many astray, and marching many straight to the pits of Hell. The Bible, our unerring and authoritative guide, illuminates the path to discernment and offers clear markers to identify those who distort the truth. Here, we explore five biblical traits of a false teacher, arming believers with the knowledge to protect their faith and community.

Trait #1: Twisting Scripture

False teachers are notorious for their cunning manipulation of Scripture, bending it to fit their own narratives and deceive the unwary. They cherry-pick verses, taking them out of context, to endorse sinful lifestyles or justify ungodly beliefs. Like the serpent in Eden, they ask, “Did God really say…?” leading people away from the truth of God’s Word. The Apostle Peter warns us of such individuals, stating, “They twist the Scriptures to their own destruction” (2 Peter 3:16). A true teacher of God’s Word handles it rightly, offering the full counsel of God, not just the parts that tickle itching ears.

This disgraceful practice almost always catapults them into the realm of rank heresy, challenging and distorting basic Christian doctrines that form the foundation of the faith. They will very often pervert the doctrine of the Trinity, a mystery central to our faith, by promoting heresies such as modalism or denying the distinct persons of the Godhead, which undermines the unity and diversity within the Trinity itself. Such false teachings not only confuse believers but also strip the Christian faith of its power and lead many into a superficial and insufficient understanding of God’s nature.

The denial of Christ’s deity is a grievous error propagated by some under the guise of enlightened teaching—a heresy, as ancient as the church itself that undermines the very foundation of our salvation—the incarnation, death, and resurrection of God the Son. And the prosperity gospel is another malignant distortion, promising health, wealth, and success as the inevitable outcomes of true faith.

False teachers will also often misuse Scripture to endorse new revelations or secret knowledge, placing their own authority above that of the Bible. They claim direct revelation from God, bypassing the need for Scriptural support and leading their followers away from the sufficiency of Scripture and into the dangerous waters of subjective experience. This not only breeds confusion but also elevates human authority above divine revelation, a move that is antithetical to the core principles of the Reformation—sola Scriptura, by Scripture alone.

Reformation—sola Scriptura, by Scripture alone.

Trait #2: Greed for Gain

One of the most telling signs of a false teacher is their insatiable greed. They exploit their followers, weaving tales and fabricating “revelations” to line their pockets. Their messages often revolve around prosperity and financial blessing, contingent upon the giving of money to their ministries. Paul speaks to this in 1 Timothy 6:5, describing them as “men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.” True shepherds of Christ’s flock feed the sheep without thought of personal gain, seeking rather to store up treasures in heaven.

This greed manifests most conspicuously in the teachings of false teachers like Kenneth Copeland, Todd Bentley, Jesse Duplantis, and their ilk—teachers of the prosperity gospel—who have turned their ministries into platforms for personal enrichment. These false teachers are known for their relentless focus on tithing and giving, often with the promise that such financial sacrifices will unlock God’s blessings of personal wealth and health. They peddle a gospel that is more about investment in earthly riches than in heavenly treasures, again, twisting Christ’s teaching that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21).

Kenneth Copeland, Todd Bentley, and Jesse Duplantis are all false teachers who twist the Scriptures, abandoning the actual gospel for their prosperity teachings. They encourage their followers to give financially, even to the point that it causes them to go into extreme debt, all with promises of divine rewards. Copeland’s seed-faith concept, Bentley’s calls for donations tied to healing and breakthroughs, and Duplantis’s claim for a $54 million jet for gospel spread, all exemplify the distortion of biblical giving. These teachings not only distort Scripture but also pressure believers into supporting the extravagant lifestyles of these preachers as they exploit the faith—albeit a false faith—for personal gain.

These are just a few examples of this trait that demonstrate a fundamental departure from the teachings of Jesus and the apostles, who warned against the love of money and urged followers of Christ to seek first the kingdom of God. The apostle Paul’s admonition to Timothy about the dangers of desiring riches is a stark reminder of the true calling of the shepherds who lead God’s people—to shepherd with humility, integrity, and a focus on eternal, not temporal, rewards.

Trait #3: Denial of Christ’s Headship

An often overlooked trait of false teachers is a subtle, but profound and often concealed denial of the sovereignty and lordship of Jesus Christ. This denial may not always manifest through an open and direct rejection of His deity or the essential truth of His atoning sacrifice. Instead, it frequently surfaces in the attitudes and teachings of false teachers who, while paying lip service to Christ’s lordship, position themselves as the pinnacle of authority and spiritual insight within their “churches.” Steven Furtick very well may be the quintessential example of this tendency as he parades himself as the ultimate arbiter of truth in his church, focusing sermons on his personal achievements, insights, and so-called spiritual acumen, rather than on the teachings of Christ.

These leaders, self-styled as “vision casters” and the ultimate standard for their followers, subtly redirect the allegiance due to Christ to themselves. Their sermons overflow with references to their own accomplishments and spiritual journeys, overshadowing the gospel with narratives of self-glorification. This narcissistic approach not only diverts attention from Jesus but also fosters a culture where the leader’s voice holds more weight than Scripture, thereby eroding the foundation of Christianity—Christ as the head of the church.

The actions of these false teachers often betray a heart that is far removed from the humility and servitude modeled by Jesus. Such leaders demand obedience and subservience, not to Christ, but to their own directives and visions for the church. In this distorted framework, a believer’s relationship with God is mediated through, and contingent upon, their loyalty to the leader. This dangerous dynamic effectively sidelines the true essence of Christian discipleship, which is direct and personal communion with Christ, guided by His Word and Spirit.

This subtle yet pervasive denial of Christ’s authority undermines the very essence of the Christian gospel, which proclaims Jesus as the sole pathway to salvation and the supreme authority over all creation. Jude’s admonition against those who “deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ” (Jude 1:4) remains distinctly relevant in our modern religious landscape, cautioning us against the allure of charismatic leaders who, through their actions and teachings, detract from the supremacy of Christ. For true spiritual nourishment and growth, we must anchor ourselves in the teachings of Scripture, uphold the centrality of Jesus in all aspects of our faith, and resist the seductive charisma of those who would place themselves above the Lord they claim to serve.

Trait #4: Moral Compromise

False teachers will frequently usher their followers into a state of moral compromise, selectively disregarding the Bible’s clear directives on sin to promote a “tolerant” or misleadingly “progressive” moral compromise. This dilution of biblical morality and the gospel’s call for personal holiness often serves to rationalize sinful conduct, masquerading as a distorted understanding of grace. Paul’s warning to the Roman church about those who prioritize their own desires over service to Christ, using “smooth talk and flattery” to mislead the unsuspecting, rings ever true today (Romans 16:18). True spiritual shepherds will guide their flock toward a lifestyle of repentance and sanctification while opposing the sham “liberty” that is ultimately just continued bondage in sin.

This moral compromise among false teachers is not limited to their teachings but is very often reflected in their personal lives, rife with accusations and instances of affairs, sexual immorality, adultery, bullying, and more. Their actions, grossly at odds with biblical morality, spotlight a deep-seated, even pharisaical hypocrisy, as we see in Romans 2. These false teachers tend to view themselves as beyond the reach of accountability, enshrined within a self-constructed pedestal of infallibility. This dangerous mindset not only undermines the integrity of their ministry but also sets a perilous example for their followers, suggesting that power can exempt one from the moral strictures demanded of Christ’s followers.

The personal failings of such leaders—ranging from the exploitation of their positions for sexual gain to the manipulation and bullying of those who dare to question them—reveal a flagrant disregard for the ethical and spiritual accountability that is foundational to Christian leadership. The New Testament is replete with admonitions against such behaviors, emphasizing the need for leaders to be above reproach, faithful to their spouses, gentle, self-controlled, and holy (1 Timothy 3:2-3Titus 1:6-9).

And finally, the tendency of these false teachers to cloak their immorality in theological justification—claiming grace as a cover for sin—perverts the gospel’s true message of redemption and transformation. Such perversions of grace not only lead people astray but also tarnish the witness of the Church in the eyes of a watching world. The biblical call to holiness is not an archaic or optional aspect of Christian faith but the very evidence of a life transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Trait #5: Creating Division

False teachers, in their quest for influence and control, often become the architects of division within the church, strategically undermining the unity that is found in Christ. They do this by promoting and prioritizing controversial or non-essential doctrines, creating factions and splinter groups that pledge allegiance to their distorted teachings rather than to the gospel of Christ. Paul explicitly condemns such behavior, instructing Titus to admonish those who cause divisions, and even calls for severing ties with those who persist in this disruptive conduct (Titus 3:10). Notably, not all divisions are detrimental. In fact, Scripture delineates a clear distinction between destructive division and the division that arises naturally from clinging to orthodoxy and exposing heresy.

Romans 16:17-18 stresses that the true agents of division are not those who call out false teachings in defense of biblical truth but the false teachers themselves—those who introduce heretical doctrines into the body of Christ. These false teachers tend to label their critics as “heresy hunters” or deploy other pejorative aimed at discrediting their legitimate concerns. This behavior isn’t limited to those who are teaching rank heresies but is prevalent within mainstream Evangelical circles. If you need an example of this, just look at the establishment leadership of the Southern Baptist Convention and see how they treat anyone who questions their positions on anything from women pastors to Critical Race Theory.

Nonetheless, the false teachers, through their rejection of sound doctrine, be it subtly or blatantly, bear the responsibility for fracturing the church’s unity. This differentiation is crucial—division over doctrinal integrity and the clear teachings of Scripture is not only justified but necessary to maintain the purity and integrity of the church’s witness.

The New Testament affirms the importance of discernment and the responsibility of believers to defend the faith against false teachings that threaten the core of Christian orthodoxy. Jude 1:3 exhorts believers to “contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints,” signaling that division in the face of false teaching is an act of fidelity to the gospel. This form of division is not a mark of disunity but a testament to the church’s commitment to truth and purity, safeguarding the community from teachings that lead away from salvation and the true knowledge of God.

False teachers exploit the biblical call for unity to silence criticism and continue their propagation of errors unchallenged. In reality, true biblical unity is rooted in shared truth and doctrine, not a superficial harmony that ignores or tolerates theological error for the sake of peace. Effective church leadership involves discerning these threats and acting decisively to protect the flock from teachings that deviate from the gospel of Christ.

I hope you found this list helpful. The Christian walk is one of vigilance and discernment, as false teachers abound, seeking to lead the faithful astray. We can identify and resist these wolves in sheep’s clothing by grounding ourselves in the Word of God and heeding the Holy Spirit’s guidance. We must always cling to the truth of Scripture, uphold the authority of Christ, and walk in unity and holiness, so that we may stand firm against the schemes of those who would pervert the gospel of grace. Our lives must reflect the light of Christ as we earnestly contend for the faith once and for all delivered to the saints.

Five Marks of a False Gospel

The gospel, or “good news,” is essentially the revelation of Jesus Christ to the world for the purpose of reconciling God’s people to Himself. Sadly, there is much perversity masquerading as the gospel, yet it’s designed to lead man away from the truth, and into a false sense of relationship with the Creator. Many cults and false religions have arisen contrary to the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3), but there are far more subtle attacks on the biblical gospel that, in many cases, go unnoticed, and are poisoning the church today. Let’s review five telling marks that a gospel being preached is false.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

Galatians 1:6-7

1.) The gospel exalts man.

This may sound like an obvious one, but sadly, so many preachers today preach a gospel that exalts man. Arminianism is perhaps the most notorious of these. Man is said, contrary to Scripture, to have within himself some level of “goodness” to be able to “choose” God. Scripture teaches that man cannot choose God (Romans 3:11) because we are dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1).

Others may teach that God has chosen to save man, not solely according to the purposes of His own will (Eph 1:11), but because of some inherent value in us. Sure, we have some value to God–we are created in His image. We were also created to glorify Him. But Scripture clearly teaches that it is not because of any value or goodness in us that God has chosen to save us, he chose to save us to display His own glory (Romans 9:23).

This mark of a false gospel places our hope in something false–a hope in something other than Christ alone. It places our hope in something within ourselves, and God will not share His glory with any other.

2.) The gospel teaches that you are saved from temporal afflictions.

This is mostly found in the Prosperity, Health and Wealth, and Word of Faith movements. Essentially, it teaches that when you are saved, you no longer have to suffer from worldly calamities such as poverty, sickness, and disease. Further, it teaches that if you do suffer from these things, that your faith simply isn’t strong enough. Often, your level of faith is purportedly reflected in how much money you give to the organization propagating this false teaching.

This teaching can certainly lead people astray, giving some who are not truly born again a false sense of security in practices such as tithing and seed-faith offering. Once again, Christ as the sole object of our faith is diminished and our faith is placed in our good works and is evidenced by our prosperity.

The apostle Paul teaches worldly struggles are not only likely but that God uses them for His glory, in which our purpose is to glorify God.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong…”

2 Corinthians 2:10-11

3.) Emphasis is placed on the Holy Spirit more than Jesus Christ.

Many charismatic churches teach a gospel that emphasizes the work of the Holy Spirit more than the work of Christ. Certainly, the Holy Spirit, equal with the Father and Christ, is worthy of our acknowledgment. But the Work of the Holy Spirit is always to point to Christ and not to Himself (John 16:14-15). Yet these charismatic churches, in many ways, teach that the Holy Spirit is the primary end of our salvation and that it is manifested through signs and wonders performed by those who have “received Him.” This often results in aberrant teachings such as that speaking in tongues is a necessary evidence of salvation.

Jesus Christ, however, is the primary ends of our salvation. As stated in 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 above, His grace is sufficient. Seeking for signs and wonders, Christ said, is evidence of a wicked and adulterous people (Matthew 16:4).

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.Philippians 2:9-11

4.) It is attractive to the world.

Another sign that a gospel being preached is false is that it is attractive to the world. Many false gospels contain half-truths and, even in some ways, may sound very much like the gospel. But the world is impatient with the inward work of regeneration and sanctification through Christ. They seek fulfillment through entertainment and other carnal means which give them a false impression of their own piety. The message of Christ’s bloody death on the cross and his endurance of God’s wrath is watered down to the point that it is meaningless, while rock bands, laser light shows, and music devoid of any theological substance are echoed throughout the churches that teach this way. In other words, if the world is not offended by the gospel message being preached, it is false.

Scripture teaches that Christ is offensive, even calling Him the “rock of offense (1 Peter 2:8),” and that the gospel is foolish to the world.

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. –1 Corinthians 1:18

5.) The gospel is not derived from Scripture.

Many false churches teach that Scripture is insufficient to receive the knowledge of the grace of God. This is most prevalent in the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches. Most cults have some form of this aberrant teaching as well, however, there are plenty of other churches, “evangelical churches,” that have strayed from the doctrine of Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) as well. We have seen in recent years pastors like Andy Stanley stray away from the authority of Scripture as well. This opens the door to all sorts of error, most of it significant and eternally damning.

The Scriptures themselves are the testimony of Christ and His plan of redemption. They are the complete revelation of Jesus Christ sovereignly preserved by the Holy Spirit to teach, reprove, and equip the saints for everything necessary in this life. There is nothing else that we need to be made complete in Him.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. –2 Timothy 3:16-17

Yet, false gospels that are not derived from Scripture always end up being a teaching that is contrary to the biblical gospel. It always ends up being a gospel of meritorious works as opposed to grace, or a gospel of some other (co)savior and (co)redeemer as opposed to Christ alone. It always minimizes the exclusivity of Christ as the only Lord and gives many a false hope in other beliefs and religions.

It is Christ alone who saves and it is Christ alone who is King. If your church is teaching another gospel or if you notice any of these signs of a false gospel in your church, it may be time to move. Don’t just sit there and put up with it.

For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. 2 Corinthians 11:4

A False Christ Presented In Super Bowl Advertisement

Ed Stetzer’s Super Bowl He Gets Us Commercial is the Most Blasphemous One Yet, Depicts Jesus as Affirming of Homosexuality and Abortion

…such an insidious organization, to begin with? All of this was proven in their latest commercial which aired during the Super Bowl last night—the He Gets Us campaign, which Ed Stetzer is highly involved in, isn’t even hiding it anymore. The commercial depicts Jesus washing the feet of homosexuals, people at abortion clinics, and every other sin, and then ends with the caption, “Jesus Didn’t Teach Hate, He Washed Feet.”

by Publisher | Feb 12, 2024

Last year, The Dissenter reported on a proposed partnership between the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board (NAMB) and a heretical “evangelism” ministry called He Gets Us. He Gets Us, as we demonstrated, is not only a gay-affirming ministry that will help you find a pro-LGBTQ church, but it also preaches a false gospel of inclusivism. He Gets Us is essentially a PR campaign for Jesus that attempts to make Jesus more palatable to the world.

NAMB, which is led by Kevin Ezell, has a historical pattern of partnering with organizations without doing his due diligence. For example, NAMB is still in partnership with a major megachurch in Florida that is regularly baptizing openly practicing and unrepentant homosexuals to plant churches. NAMB also regularly plants churches with women pastors in opposition to the SBC’s statement of faith.

Thankfully, after that was exposed and brought to light, Ezell decided to sever official ties with He Gets Us and move on. However, this only begs the question: what on earth would make Ezell want to partner with such an insidious organization, to begin with?

All of this was proven in their latest commercial which aired during the Super Bowl last night—the He Gets Us campaign, which Ed Stetzer is highly involved in, isn’t even hiding it anymore. The commercial depicts Jesus washing the feet of homosexuals, people at abortion clinics, and every other sin, and then ends with the caption, “Jesus Didn’t Teach Hate, He Washed Feet.” Watch:

Of course, this is completely and totally stupid and completely twists the entire meaning of Jesus washing feet. When Jesus washed feet, it was illustrative of the internal cleansing he does to people He would save on the cross. He doesn’t just wash people and allow them to continue in sin—he cleanses them from their sin and calls them to “go and sin no more.” This commercial, like every other left-wing Bible-twisting propaganda, paints Jesus as an antinomian who doesn’t care if you continue in sin. The most hateful thing you can do is lead sinners to believe that they are perfectly fine and right with God despite their continued unrepentant sin.

The Southern Baptist Convention, which is unfortunately led by hundreds of men just like Kevin Ezell—gullible to embrace secular movements while demonstrating zero discernment—has been enthralled with social justice propaganda since it was normalized in the denomination through Russell Moore’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC). Through sinister players like Moore, many Southern Baptist pastors and leaders have now bought into much of the political left’s social propaganda.

And this is exactly why He Gets Us is so appealing to many mainstream Evangelicals like Kevin Ezell—He Gets Us is nothing more than a left-wing propaganda movement designed to brainwash Christians and move the church’s stance on social issues away from a biblical worldview. This ad below from He Gets Us, which is set to be played during the Superbowl this year, is a perfect illustration. By cloaking the birth of Jesus into a false narrative that “Jesus was a refugee,” He Gets Us cleverly makes an emotional appeal to Christians by comparing it to the thousands of illegal aliens flooding our borders daily.

mRNA Vaccines Contain Prion Region, May Be Linked to Prion-Like Diseases

COVID Vaccine Linked to Alarming Diseases

There are a myriad of very bad effects of taking multiple COVID vaccines; the largest are its effects on the heart and nervous systems, and harming our immune system. Following is yet another concern:

As pathogenic prions accumulate, people may start to develop prion diseases such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and mad cow disease.

The COVID-19 virus and its vaccine sequences have a prion region on their surface spike proteins. Earlier in the pandemic and vaccine rollout, some researchers were concerned that these prion regions may promote incurable prion diseases, such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD).

In December 2023, researchers from Oxford showed that 8 percent of the time, the body does not make spike protein from Pfizer mRNA vaccines but may form aberrant proteins instead. This has led researchers to investigate the potential risks of such unintentional formations.

Subsequently, on Jan. 12, retired French biomathematician Jean-Claude Perez published a preprint study discussing whether such mistakes could lead to the formation of prion-like proteins. He concluded that prion-like protein formation is possible.

A previous peer-reviewed paper by Mr. Perez and his co-authors in January 2023 recorded 26 cases of CJD. Those afflicted reported that their first symptoms manifested within one to 31 days of their last COVID-19 vaccination or infection.

All patients experienced a rapid worsening of their condition over the ensuing months and died.

What Are Prions?

Prions are proteins that exist naturally in the brain. They perform crucial tasks and are necessary for human health.

However, on rare occasions, a healthy prion may misfold into a pathogenic prion. This misfold is irreversible, and from then on, the pathogenic prion converts all healthy prions it encounters into pathogenic prions.

Studies Link Incurable Prion Disease With COVID-19 Vaccines

As pathogenic prions accumulate, people may start to develop prion diseases such as CJD and mad cow disease.

Other researchers have also proposed that Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, both of which exhibit an accumulation of misfolded proteins, may also be prion diseases.

Prions are defined by their amino acid sequences. Prion-like sequences are rich in glutamine and asparagine amino acids, and human or foreign proteins that contain such regions are at risk of initiating prion diseases.

“Amino acid sequence can tell us if a protein can potentially act as a prion and show prion-like functions,” said Vladimir Uversky, PhD, a professor at the University of South Florida specializing in molecular medicine. “Not all proteins with prion-like sequences will undoubtedly act as prions. Even prion protein itself will cause prion disease in very few cases.

“If, however, one got such proteins, then there is a chance that [the proteins] can trigger some pathology. It is not clear when, how, and with what probability this would happen, but the overall chances of getting something bad are definitely increased,” Mr. Uversky told The Epoch Times, comparing the prion protein to “a time bomb with a dysfunctional or stochastic timer.”

How Would mRNA Vaccines Form Prion Proteins?

One can think of mRNA vaccines as instructions used to make spike proteins. In the case of COVID-19 vaccines, the mRNA vaccines contain a high percentage of pseudouridine, which is less common in the human body. The extra pseudouridine makes the process more prone to “frameshift errors.”

Frameshift errors occur when the cell’s protein production machinery accidentally misses one or two bases in the mRNA sequence. Since mRNA bases are read in groups of threes, a frameshift breaks up the original sets of the sequence, affecting all sequences downstream of the error.

In his research, Mr. Perez found a frameshift by one base retains the prion-like sequences, while a frameshift by two bases eliminates them.

He also found that the frameshift sequences share similarities to bacterial proteins on the brain-eating amoeba and human nuclease proteins, proteins capable of breaking apart DNA bonds.

Spike Proteins and Prion Diseases in the Literature

Numerous papers in the literature have linked COVID-19 spike protein to prion formations.

The spike protein naturally has a prion-like domain at the region where it binds to other receptors. SARS-CoV-2 is the only coronavirus with a prion-like domain in its spike protein.

In September 2023, Swedish researchers published a preprint finding that spike proteins may accelerate Alzheimer’s and prion disease formation.

The authors found specific spike protein sequences carried amyloid sequences and extracted them. When these sequences were supplemented with human prion and amyloid proteins, the spike sequences accelerated the proteins’ aggregation.

Neurologist Dr. Suzanne Gazda told The Epoch Times she is very concerned about the implications of prion disease acceleration and formation due to COVID-19 vaccination and infections.

Another study published in October 2023 found that spike protein can bind to alpha-synuclein, an unfolded protein that accumulates in Parkinson’s disease. The authors found that introducing spike protein to alpha-synuclein also increased its aggregation.

Several studies have linked COVID-19 and its vaccines with prion diseases.

A Turkish case study detailed the case of a 68-year-old man who developed symptoms of CJD weeks after being administered the COVID mRNA vaccine.

Around one to two weeks after administration, he became forgetful; two months later, he began losing his ability to find words. By the third to fourth month, he had developed a progressive speech disorder, confusion, agitation, and involuntary contraction of his left arm and leg.

A 2022 Italian case report examined the case of a man in his early 40s who developed CJD two months after a mild COVID-19 infection. He first started seeing black shadows when closing his eyes, “followed by dizziness, difficulty reading and worsening of balance,” the authors wrote.

Three months post-infection, the patient reported loss of coordination in his left arm and loss of reflexes in his legs.

Unintentional!?? Yea, right!!
Not buying it for a second.
Intentional, criminal, and morally corrupt is more like it.

Homosexual Son of Former SBC President Publishes Child-Grooming Book: “My Guncle and Me”

One can now write a book on apostasy within many mainline Christian denominations. There seems to be countless well known Southern Baptist Pastors whose sons have fallen into gross sin and abominable lifestyles. In the following story, a former Southern Baptist President actually condones his sons’ heresy. You can’t make this stuff up. It is both mindboggling and surreal! Pastor Steve <><

Luke 18:8b: “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” It is as if Christ is predicting that faith in God will have waned so badly as to have departed from mankind.

Jonathan Merritt, the open and unrepentant homosexual son of former SBC president James Merritt, has announced the imminent arrival of his new children’s book, ‘My Guncle And Me’- with ‘Guncle being a contraction of ‘Gay Uncle.’

Homosexual Son of Former SBC President Publishes Pro-Homosexual Children’s Book: “My Guncle and Me”

by Publisher | Feb 8, 2024

Jonathan Merritt is the openly, practicing homosexual son of former Southern Baptist president and recently-hired Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary faculty member, James Merritt. James Merritt, who took aim at conservatives during the 2021 Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting arguing that Critical Race Theory is not a problem in the Church and that Christians shouldn’t concern themselves with fighting against it, is now openly and publicly promoting his homosexual son as “faithful to the gospel.”

In 2021, James publicly promoted his son’s preaching urging people to listen to one of his sermons that he preached calling it “brilliant” and “faithful to the gospel.”

The elder Merritt’s actions ultimately led to him stepping down from a teaching position at Southeastern Seminary. Yet, the former SBC president is allowing some pretty wild stuff to take place under his roof. This past Thanksgiving, the elder Merritt allowed his granddaughter to present his homosexual son with a bracelet with the word “GUNCLE” on it. He then published that on social media.

If the former SBC president, who, by the way, is highly involved in the day-to-day life of the Southern Baptist Convention, is allowing this to take place under his roof, should that disqualify him from the pastorate? Should it disqualify him from any leadership position in the SBC? Sane people would think so—but it doesn’t. James Merritt’s hands are still in everything SBC-related.

Fast forward to today, and Jonathan Merrit is now publishing a pro-homosexual book geared toward children.

Merritt writes in an Instagram post about this book:

On an ordinary evening a couple of years ago, I confessed to my friend @sniequist that I felt a holy nudge to write a children’s book, but I hadn’t found the perfect idea.

“Why don’t you write a book about being a Guncle?” she said—and a bomb went off in my chest. THAT was the book I was meant to write!

Over the last two years, I forged this book with intentionality, creativity and joy. And finally—FINALLY—on May 14th, I get to share it with all of you.

MY GUNCLE AND ME tells the story of Henry Higgleston, a kid who struggles with feeling like an oddball and outsider at school. But when his fabulous Guncle arrives for the weekend, the pair take an adventure that opens Henry’s eyes to the beauty of his uniqueness and the liberating power of self-acceptance.

I wrote this story for any kid, big or small, who has ever felt different. I can’t wait for you to read it, but first I need your help.

It’s not hard to believe that a homosexual would seek out children to indoctrinate with their perverted ideologies, but it is hard to believe that such a prominent Southern Baptist pastor and former SBC president who is intricately involved in the policy-making of the denomination would allow these things to happen not only under his roof, but to defile his name without any public rebuke to his son and with no rebuke from other Southern Baptist leaders to James.
