Another Example Of Rick Warren’s Universalism And Belief That The Christian God Is The Same As The Muslim god

Did Rick Warren Pray to Allah in the Name of a Muslim Prophet?

Rick Warren—who is one of President Barack Obama’s bridges to the evangelical church—managed to pray an inaugural prayer that made nearly everyone happy, with the exception, that is, of the one true God to whom the prayer was supposed to be addressed. While Warren began by quoting the Hebrew Schema, and addressing the biblical God of all creation, who warned, “You shall have no other gods before Me….for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God…” (Exodus 20:3, 5b), Warren went on to invoke the Muslim deity Allah. If that was not bad enough, Warren quoted both the Bible and the Koran, and he prayed in the names of Jesus Christ as well as the Muslim prophet Isa! I felt this perilous travesty needed to be addressed, especially since Time Magazine has dubbed Rick Warren “America’s New People’s Pastor,” and he is influencing millions of people through his books and public persona.

Tragically, Warren’s incorporation of the Islamic deity in the name of a Muslim prophet went over the heads of the vast majority of Christians who heard his inaugural prayer. While Warren’s prayer may have pleased President Barack Obama, who gained countless votes by riding on Warren’s back into the evangelical church, God warned us in His Word that religious syncretism would characterize the great apostasy of the last days (Revelation 17)!

While I suspected that Warren’s prayer would be as inclusive as possible, even I was surprised when Warren actually quoted the Koran and used the oft-repeated Koranic formulation for Allah i.e., “The compassionate and merciful one.” In fact, of the 114 chapters in the Koran, 113 of them begin by describing Allah as “The compassionate and merciful one.”

Near the end of Warren’s prayer, he prayed, “I humbly ask this in the name of the one who changed my life, Yeshua, Isa, Jesus….” Of course, Isa would have been understood by Muslims, who had already heard him praying to Allah, to be the Islamic prophet mentioned throughout the Koran. Warren’s prayer to Allah, in the name of Isa, is absolutely indefensible:

“The priests said not, where is the LORD? And they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.”

Jeremiah 2:8

Not only is “The compassionate and merciful one” a distinct and precise Koranic formulation reserved for Allah alone, but “Isa” is used in the Koran in reference to an alleged Palestinian prophet who, according to the Koran, is not the Son of God and did not die on the cross for the sins of the world. He is not only antithetical to the biblical, historical Yeshua revealed over a thousand years earlier through the Old Testament prophets but, according to millions of Muslims, he will return to renounce Christianity, destroy all crosses, support the mass murder of Jews and forcibly convert the world to Islam. It is believed that Isa will not only destroy Jews and all crosses, but that he will support the coming Muslim Messiah—the 12th Imam or Mahdi—who many Christians believe will be the Antichrist.

Islamic scholar Ahmad Deedat, states that the name Isa (pronounced Ee-saw) is a cognate of the patriarch Esau (Ahmad Deedat, “Christ in Islam, Islamic Propagation Centre International” p. 7-8). This is blasphemous in that God reveals in His word, the Bible, that Esau was a fornicator and “sold his birthright” for a pot of stew (Hebrews 12:15-17). Lest anyone be deceived into believing that Isa is simply another name for the biblical Jesus, it should be understood that Isa is in no way an Arabic transliteration of the Hebrew Yeshua, nor is it another name for the Son of God!  In fact, Muslims do not believe that Isa is the Son of God or that he died for the sins of the world.

Arab Christians do not follow the Islamic prophet Isa, nor do they follow the teachings of the Koran. During my last trip to Israel we visited a missionary from our fellowship that was working with Arab believers who reach the Arab community with the Good News of Jesus. During that trip I had the privilege of spending precious time at the home of these Arab Christians who are on fire for Jesus. All of these Arab believers referred to Jesus as Yesua, which derives from the Arabic for Jesus, Yasu! I also spent a considerable amount of time with our Arabic Christian bus driver, who taught me the Arabic Christian praise to Jesus Christ, “Yesua Habibi.” Yesua Habibi is a beautiful Arabic expression, which means, “Jesus, my beloved” or “Jesus, the love of my life!”

The name for Jesus among knowledgeable Arab Christians is not “Isa,” but “Yesua,” which is very close (as you may have observed) to the Hebrew name for Jesus, Yeshua! The name “Yeshua” literally means, “God is salvation.” This is the crux of the matter and underscores the infinite difference between Yesua and Isa! Any Arab Christian who refers to Jesus as Isa is either unaware of its Islamic origin in reference to the false Christ of Islam (Matthew 24:4-5; 2 Corinthians 11:4) or is beholden to pagan Islamic tradition and influence that should be rejected outright.

If you are aware of the differences between the biblical, historical Jesus, and the Muslim prophet Isa, then you may understand why Muslim Arabs refer to Isa instead of the Arabic Yesua, and why knowledgeable Arabic Christians refer to the biblical Jesus as Yesua and not Isa. When God revealed to Joseph that the prophesied Messiah had come into the world, He specified that His name should be called Yeshua, meaning, “Yahweh is salvation.” This was because Jesus was the fulfillment of the promise that Immanuel, “God with us,” had been incarnated in human flesh. God revealed that He was to be named Yeshua because His name was pregnant with prophetic significance and meaning:

“But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ‘Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’—which means, “God with us.”

Matthew 1:20-23

The name Jesus, that is commonly used by English speakers, is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous, which in turn is the transliteration of the Hebrew Yeshua, which means “Yahweh is salvation.” One of Jesus’ many titles by which he is called today in fulfillment of biblical prophecy is “Immanuel,” but the personal name given to Him at His birth, Yeshua, not only reveals that God is with us, but a dimension of His purpose in coming into the world: that He came into the world to save His people from their sins, i.e., “Yahweh is salvation.”  Thus Peter could exclaim:

“[F]or there is no other name under heaven given to men by whom we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12b

Tragically, Muslims have been taught to reject Yeshua—Yahweh is salvation—and as a result Islam rejects the testimony of God and rejects that Jesus is Yahweh (“God with us”) and that He is salvation (died for our sins); hence the rejection of the historical biblical Jesus and His divine name, Yeshua. In rejecting Jesus for Isa, Muslims reject the original testimony of God in favor of Isa, even as Isa or Esau rejected his birthright for a bowl of stew. Indeed, Muhammad went out of his way to repeatedly deny both the Sonship and the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.  In so doing Muhammad engaged in a serious case of historical revisionism, 600 years after Christ, and claimed that Isa, a Palestinian prophet, not the Son of God, was born of Mary. Also in so doing he was able to give the Koran a much-needed historical attachment, nebulous though it was, and at the same time appeal to nominal Christians who he believed would more easily convert to Islam.

The Koran was not only written over 600 years after the fact of incarnation of the Son of God, but was written to make it appear to be another revelation of the one true God who inspired the Bible.  The Koran, in affect was (and is) used to blind hundreds of millions of people to the central message of the Bible: that eternal life comes through faith in the Son of God, who died for our sins; was buried and rose triumphantly over the grave (John 3:16; 20:30-31; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)!

Muslim scholars and historians admit that Muhammad believed that he was possessed by a demon, which led him for a time to consider throwing himself off a cliff.  He was then persuaded by his wife to believe that the voices he was hearing belonged to the angel Gabriel. However, the true God had revealed over half a millennium earlier in His holy word, the Bible, that the spirit of Antichrist would deny the relationship between the Father and His Son (1 John 2:18-22; 4:1-4). Moreover, Yahweh had warned that even if an angel from heaven were to preach another gospel than that which was already revealed that he would be eternally condemned (Gk. anathema, Galatians 1:6-9).  The Koranic revelation of Allah, the Palestinian prophet Isa, as well as its “gospel,” are as far from the Trinitarian God revealed in the Bible and Jesus of Nazareth as the east is from the west.

While the one true God reveals Himself in the Bible to be the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, and declares that it is exclusively through the substitutionary death of Jesus, His only begotten Son, that man can be saved from their sins (John 3:16; 10:1, 9; 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 2:1-3; and 1 John 5:12); the Koran denies all of these essential salvific truths and reveals a totally empty gospel to humanity.  Below are a few of the Suras from the Koran that deny the biblical God, Yahweh and Yeshua, the Son of God and Savior of the world:

“Regarding Sonship of Jesus: That is Jesus, son of Mary, in word of truth…It is not for God to take a son unto Him.”

(Koran, 19:34)

“And they say, ‘The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son.’ You have indeed advanced something hideous.”

(Koran, Sura 19:88)

“Believe in Allah and say not ‘Trinity.’ Cease! It is better for you! Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son.”

(Koran, Sura 4:171)

“That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them… for of a surety they killed him not.”

(Koran, Surah 4:157)

Such lies contradict the very essence of the gospel and the words of Jesus Christ Himself:

“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:3; 3:16

It is a very serious thing for Islam to come over 600 hundred years after God sent His son to die for the sins of the world and deny His sovereign testimony. God Himself warns that those who deny that Jesus is the Son of God make Him a liar and reject the life that is found solely in His son:

“The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”

John 5:10-12

Rick Warren’s prayer to the Muslim god Allah, in the name of the false prophet Isa, was first and foremost an affront to the one true God who gave His only begotten Son for the sins of the world. God will not permit the worship of any other gods beside Him, and He forbids us from using the names of other gods in our prayers or worship:

“Now concerning everything which I have said to you, be on your guard; and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard from your mouth.”

Exodus 23:13

Rick Warren’s prayer to Allah in the name of Isa was not only a serious affront to God, but a serious disservice to non-Believers and immature Believers who could be led to think that they can worship other gods or could easily conclude that Allah and Yahweh are one and the same God. His prayer was also a serious disservice to Muslims, who are in desperate need of eternal life, which only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God (John 14:6). Sadly, Muslims would easily conclude from such a prayer that there is no serious difference between Allah and Yahweh or Isa and Jesus and therefore assume they don’t need to embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, to their eternal peril. Tragically, Rick Warren has given fresh feet to a 1,300-year-old lie that has undermined the costly price that Jesus paid for our sins with His precious blood. God reveals in is word that all idolaters will go to the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8) and that only those who have the Son of God have eternal life (1 John 5:12-13).

Dear friend, if you do not know God’s Son, Jesus Christ, in light of heaven and hell and your eternal destiny, I encourage you to turn to Him now in repentant faith so that you may be born of God and have eternal life!

Let us pray earnestly for Rick Warren and those who are being led astray by the present deception, and ask the Lord to give them repentance and deliver them from the power of the evil one who seeks to take them captive to do his will (2 Timothy 2:24-26). Let us also be diligent to stay on guard, lest any of us be led away by false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing, but are inwardly ravenous wolves (2 Peter 3:17; Matthew 7:13-15).

Stay tuned for future blogs, as I will seek to share timely and important biblical insights regarding current trends in popular culture and their relationship to spiritual warfare and the end time prophecy. We will examine popular music, movies, the new spirituality, religious trends, politics, education, evolution, atheism and a myriad of other subjects like Israel, the middle east and the new world order. All of this will be done in the fear and love of God with the view of living for His eternal glory. We will also continue to examine the subject matter of this post, along with a document signed by Rick Warren and other popular religious leaders (called “Loving God and Neighbors Together”), which affirms their worship of Allah as a precondition to a new world order of peace and security. We will also learn effective ways to defend the faith and reach the lost with the gospel of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ… Have a truly blessed weekend!

A Consistent Life

This is from the Daily Bread Devotional Series, February 27, 2015.  God is not looking for self centered all stars.  He is looking for consistent, faithful Christians who keep on plodding come what may.  Pastor Steve

Bible in a Year: Numbers 17-19; Mark 6:30-56

While studying the book of Daniel, I was struck by how easily he could have avoided being thrown into the den of lions. Daniel’s jealous rivals in the government of Babylon laid a trap based on his consistent practice of daily prayer to God (Dan. 6:1-9). Daniel was fully aware of their plot and could have decided to pray privately for a month until things settled down. But that was not the kind of person he was.

“When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days” (v.10). Daniel did not panic, nor bargain with God. Instead, he continued “just as he had done before” (v.10 niv). He was not intimidated by the pressure of persecution.

The lesson for me was the power of Daniel’s life of consistent devotion to the Lord. His strength came from God, whom Daniel wanted to please every day. When a crisis came, Daniel didn’t need to change his daily practice to meet it. He simply stayed committed to his God.

Father, I want to stand for You when persecution
comes as Daniel did. Give me that same bold
commitment to pray and not to be ashamed of
knowing You. Help me to live my faith publicly.

God empowers us to stand for Him as we bow to pray.

INSIGHT: Daniel’s three friends were thrown into the fiery furnace (Dan. 3), and Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den (ch. 6). These stories teach us that God is in control, even when it doesn’t look like it, and we can trust Him.

Biblical Archaeology’s Top Ten Discoveries of 2014 (Part 1, #1-3)

Those two ideas are speculative. But the discovery of coins minted in 17-18 AD under the foundation level has led the archaeologists to conclude that at least part of the Western Wall of the Temple Mount was not built by Herod the Great but by his heirs decades later.

3. Sheshonq’s scarab

A scarab bearing the name of the Egyptian pharaoh Sheshonq was discovered in 2006 but not announced until earlier this year. Sheshonq I has been identified as the biblical pharaoh Shishak, a contemporary of Solomon and his son Rehoboam. The scarab provides new evidence for Shishak’s raid into Judah as described in II Chronicles 12:2-9.

The scarab was found in the ruins of an ancient copper smelting facility at a site called Khirbat Hamra Ifdan in Jordan, south of the Dead Sea.

Scarabs, coins, seals, and bullae are very small but can have a significant archaeological impact because of the information they reveal. Earlier this year, another Egyptian scarab was found at Khirbet el-Maqatir, from the Hyksos period.

2. Khirbet Summeily bullae

In recent decades, some archaeologists and Bible scholars have argued that David and Solomon were minor or mythological leaders and not the major rulers depicted in the Bible. But the discovery this summer of six clay seal impressions—or bullae—from the 10th century BC indicate significant administrative activity at a remote outpost at Khirbet Summeily near Gaza, on the ancient border between Judah and Philistia. The bullae are the latest in a series of discoveries that support the existence of a major Jerusalem-based kingdom in the 10th century.

1. Herod’s Gate at Herodium

The discovery of what was believed to be the tomb of Herod the Great in 2007 ended a 30-year search by the late Israeli archaeologist Ehud Netzer. But this desert palace/fortress still has more secrets to reveal. Earlier this month, Hebrew University archaeologists announced the discovery of a monumental entrance—60 feet long, 20 feet wide, and 60 feet high—providing direct access to the inner courtyard.

Archaeologists say the entryway may never have been used. Instead, Herod ordered the entrance backfilled and the adjacent royal theater covered up, creating the setting for his monumental mausoleum.

Editor’s Note: Two of these findings—the circular ark and Herod’s gate—are also found on the Biblical Archaeology Society’s top 10 list for 2014. CT also compiled the top 10 finds of 2013 and reported on the coin that may have cracked the mystery of Jesus’ birthday (spoiler alert: it’s not December 25), a building that might have been King David’s palace, and other archaeological stories.

Biblical Archaeology’s Top Ten Discoveries of 2014

A flurry of year-end announcements provided some late-breaking additions to the list of archaeological discoveries made public in 2014. Below are the top ten findings of the broad variety of institutional and salvage excavations taking place in the lands of the Bible.

10. Tomb of St. Stephen

The tomb of the first Christian martyr may have been located in an excavation just west of Ramallah. An Orthodox church news service recently reported that a church complex excavation revealed an inscription indicating that the church had been built over the burial site of St. Stephen, who was interred there in 35 AD. However, the lack of news of this discovery from other sources raises questions that bear further investigation.

9. Theater of Smyrna [corrected]

Archaeologists in Izmir, Turkey, are currently uncovering the , one of the seven cities of Revelation. [Editor’s note: Due to a source error, CT erroneously reported that the theater was the site where Polycarp, the bishop of Smyrna and a disciple of the Apostle John, was martyred. However, ancient texts indicate that Polycarp was martyred in the stadium of Smyrna, not the theater. The location of the stadium of Smyrna is known, but has not been excavated.]

8. Tablet that said the ark was round

The world’s potentially oldest clay tablet containing a flood story was found in the British Museum archives and put on display last January. Discovered by the museum’s cuneiform curator, Irving Finkel, the tablet makes note of a round ark and is one of several versions of the flood story that have been found in Mesopotamian excavations. Although this tablet from ancient Babylon, dated around 1750 BC, may be the oldest found containing the flood story, it’s not necessarily the earliest version of the story.

7. Olive oil from 8,000 years ago

Archaeologists announced in December that organic residue on pottery shards excavated at Ein Zippori, near Nazareth, was olive oil. The vessels were dated around 5800 BC, making them some of the earliest evidence of olive oil production in the region and indicating that it was a diet staple 4,000 years before the time of the biblical patriarchs.

6. Rosh Ha`Ayin farmhouse

Earlier this month, archaeologists announced that they had uncovered a large farmhouse near the headwaters of the Yarkon River at Rosh Ha`Ayin, east of Tel Aviv. In the early Israelite period, houses were typically small, with a standardized 4-room design. But this house, dating to the Assyrian conquest in the 7th century BC, is 100 feet by 130 feet, with 23 rooms. Numerous wine presses and a large silo for storing grain were also found nearby.

The agricultural production continued at this farm through the Persian and Hellenistic periods; a Greek coin with the images of Zeus and Heracles was recovered in one of the rooms.

5. Temple at Tel Burna

The first major temple discovered in Israel in 60 years is being excavated at Tel Burna, near the modern city of Kiryat Gat. It dates back to 1300 BC, approximately the time of the Exodus and Judges. The courtyard of the 2,700-square-foot building yielded remains of sacrificial rituals, perhaps honoring the Canaanite deity Baal.

4. Stone rejected by the builders and Western Wall coins

Over the years archaeologists have been gradually excavating the total length of the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. At the foundation layer of the southern end of the wall, they recently uncovered a unique stone. While Herodian architecture typically uses stones that have a margin around the edges and a raised-boss center, this one’s surface was smooth and rounded. Archaeologists Roni Reich and Eli Shukron believe it was left over from the building of the Second Temple, the temple of Jesus’ day. This has led some Bible scholars to suggest it was the literal “stone rejected by the builders,” referenced by Jesus in Matthew 21:42, quoting Psalm 118:22-23.

9-11 Revisited

We will forever have the memories from this date etched in our minds, much like the previous generation remembered Pearl Harbor.  The events were confusing and brought a myriad of thoughts to mind all at once.  The American flag flew everywhere, along with the familiar cry of “God bless America.”  Certainly it was a time when Americans joined together in patriotism, and Christians sought the Lord.  Politically speaking, President Bush and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani led in the nations’ cohesiveness at the threshold of the long war against Radical Islamic terrorism.  In the midst of all of the chaos and thoughts, some folks seemed to get the REAL message from the Lord.  I served in a church in the Shenandoah Valley during the time of 9/11/01.  This mountainous region was inhabited by many Mennonite families throughout the valley.  Mennonites are somewhat similar to the Amish in dress, and likewise harbor the same ideals and customs, but not quite to the extreme.  Mennonites drive cars and operate machines.  Here was the four word Mennonite response to 9/11:

America Bless God, Repent!

The Mennonites got it right, and the first time I read their sign I realized it.  If our nation turned back to the Lord, we would not fret over the weather, terrorism, the economy, or anything else.  God blesses and places a hedge around those who submit to Him.  Remember, Islam can only enter a vacuum, and not a God fearing nation.  This brings us back once again to the panacea for all of America’s woes:

2 Chronicles 7:14, New International Version (NIV)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

How God Turns Lemons Into Lemonade

Days of Praise

The Futile Wrath of Man

“Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.” (Psalm 76:10)

One of the most amazing anomalies in human life is the oft-repeated testimony to God’s grace and power unwittingly rendered by men who would dethrone Him if they could. Biblical examples are numerous.

Joseph’s brothers hated him and sold him into slavery, but “God meant it unto good . . . to save much people alive” (Genesis 50:20). Haman tried to destroy the Jews in the days of Queen Esther; but instead their leader, Mordecai, was elevated to prime minister, and Haman was hanged upon his own gallows. Daniel’s enemies maneuvered him into the lions’ den, but these enemies themselves were later devoured by the animals, and King Darius decreed “that in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever” (Daniel 6:26).

In the awful hour of Satan and the powers of darkness, Jesus died on the cross, but “having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15). “Why did the heathen rage? . . . the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.” Their plans turned to frustration and rage because all they could do was “whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done” (Acts 4:25-26, 28).

Let men be ever so bitter against God and hateful to His people. The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church, and the more His enemies rage, the more will God be glorified. The wrath of man can never prevail against the Lord. It will either be restrained in due season or will be turned into praise, for “we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). Is This Generation Primed For Deception By The Antichrist?

I have noticed a profound dichotomy in our culture.  That is, discerning Christians notice our Godly values quickly slipping away, and a godless generation is taking the lead.  Yet most people outside the church are totally oblivious to the paradigm shift that is taking place.  There was a request from the amoral and godless populace of the ancient Roman Empire.  It went like this:  “Give us bread and circus and we are happy.”  Life was devoid of meaning and their philosophy was live for today.  Does this not remind you of the mindset of the “entitlement generation” of today?  History always repeats itself.  Millennials are defined as the generation that reached adulthood in 2000.  As a preacher/pastor of thirty years, I can see (and so can you), that this generation is leading to the rapid demise of the Christian church.  One can go into just about any Christian gathering, regardless of denomination, whether it be a worship service or a convention, and the first thing that one would notice is that the gathering is top heavy in age.  A fellow pastor whose entire career has been spent working with youth, told me several weeks ago that: “Millennials do not believe in absolute truth.”  How true.  Years ago when I started in the ministry (the mid 1980’s), even people who refused to attend church would confide with you that they knew they should be there and would get right with God later.  We are dealing with a different animal today.  Now, the mindset is that the Bible is a myth, and no more true than Grimm’s Fairy Tales or Aesop’s Fables.  Furthermore, this generation is infatuated with violence, and is nearly desensitized to bloodshed and even murder.  The value of life and liberty is diminished.  I look at President Obama’s “leadership.”  He campaigned in Las Vegas immediately after the travesty in Benghazi, Libya.  United States’ journalist James Foley was beheaded by the barbarian Isis radical Islamists, and after a glib perfunctory call to his parents, Obama was out on the golf course.  Again, he made a bee line for the links after these same psychotics butchered twenty one Egyptian Coptic Christians a couple of days ago.  This entire generation is desensitized to the simple values of decency, compassion and kindness.  Americans see the foundation of this nation crumbling and our values that led to our greatness are all but gone.  How else could you account for Isis and their successful recruiting of westerners to join in their murderous savagery?

I observe millennials in the church.  Whatever they may hear from the Word of God is not employed in their lives.  I watch one marriage after another implode, usually over unfaithfulness, as the couple often lacks the spiritual fortitude to strengthen their marriage through their trials and tribulations.  I have baptized people who quickly thereafter enter a lifestyle of fornication, yet brazenly continue to attend church without an apparent smidgen of guilt!  [The unrepentant fornicator will go to hell.  Revelation 21:8, Galatians 5:19-21, I Corinthians 6:9-11, Ephesians 5:3-5].  Hebrews 13:4  “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”  This is not hard to understand.  There is no fear of God, nor reverence towards His Word and truth.  I refuse to marry people who are “cohabitating,” since they have no idea of what marriage is.  Then, of course, is the very famous millennial one size fits all excuse and it goes like this:  “We cannot afford to live apart because of economic constraints, and we are living celibately in different bedrooms.”  Were they not living within their means BEFORE they moved in together?  The following passage reveals how unbiblical this mindset is:  I Thessalonians 5:22  “Abstain from all APPEARANCE of evil.”  A great many of this generation likewise, believe that sodomites (homosexuals) are born with this sexual proclivity, and are therefore totally devoid of sin, and they label anyone who would suggest otherwise a homophobe.  The church is desperately grasping at straws, sometimes watering down the Gospel, and using every kind of marketing/methodology tool imaginable, in order to win this generation.  I do not think this is Biblical in the least, and I believe that in the true church, we must all repent and get right with the Lord by coming through the front door without manmade shortcuts.  I also wonder how many of these folks are reachable?  No nation in the history of the Christian church age has been saturated with more truth and freedom than the United States of America.  I believe personally that this generation is by and large Gospel hardened.  Is this the terminal generation?  Since they have no moral compass or core values of right and wrong, would they take the mark of the beast en masse in order to buy or to sell?  Would they sell the farm for bread and circus?  Would they submit to Sharia Law in order to save their skin?  You be the judge.  Lost people have absolutely no spiritual discernment whatsoever.  In fact the Bible says “The natural man does not understand the things of God, they are foolishness unto him.”  I believe that there is an entire generation of people today who are primed for mass deception.  You think about that…

Disclaimer:  This article obviously is not pointed to the younger people in the church who truly follow Christ.  They shine all the brighter since they are in the minority.  They can reach their peers more easily than many of us since they understand their world view so well.  May God especially bless the younger folks who stand resolutely firm in Jesus Christ, refuse to compromise, and swim against the current.

Blessings, Pastor Steve

The Antichrist As Seen From Two Different Faiths

As I was watching the international news yesterday, the newscaster said that ISIS believes they are fulfilling prophecy through murdering and beheading innocent Jews and Christians.  Islam believes that a period of chaos and global upheaval will precede the time when Allah rules over all.  Radical Islam thrives on terrorism and desires to promote confusion, because doing this will usher in the time for their Maudi to come into power.  They look forward to this time, when Islam goes unto the offensive in their attempts to instill their faith and Sharia Law on everyone.  (Convert or die).

This above mindset is becoming very plain to see, and because of this, many Christian students of eschatology have reevaluated their view points on end times prophecy and the Great Tribulation, known to the prophet Jeremiah as Jacob’s Trouble.  For instance, the older view of a revived Roman Empire centering around Europe has suddenly shifted to the east!  An Islamic Caliphate is seen as a strong possibility of becoming the ruling power during the last days.  The Islamic period of confusion and chaos can be interpreted as the Great Tribulation by Bible believing Christians.  The Islamic Maudi can be seen as the Antichrist.  Amazingly, Islam looks at this end times ruler in a positive light while Christians interpret him to be the Antichrist.  Let me share one Bible verse that really puts this end times scenario into perspective:  Revelation 20:4  “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”  (KJV)  “Beheadings” are the trademark of Islam, initiated by their founder Mohammed.  Christians who stand firmly on their faith will be beheaded during the Great Tribulation for refusing to compromise what they believe.  We have observed this phenomena of beheadings sweep the globe in recent months.  Is this a precursor of the environment everywhere during the Great Tribulation?  Can you see how it is all coming together?  The exact same prophetic event is interpreted differently by Christianity and Islam.

Keep Looking Up, And Pray For Revival.  Jesus Christ Is The Only Hope For Mankind.  John 3:3, 16, 36; 14:6; Acts 4:12.

President Obama, Our Commander In Chief?

Last year, President Obama labeled the unbelievable barbaric ISIL as a “JV Team,” or Junior Varsity.  He had no strategy then except for phony and feckless rhetoric, and has come up with no strategy since.  Here is his latest quotation about ISIL as they continue to gain tremendous momentum:

“Make no mistake, this is a difficult mission. And it will remain difficult for some time. It’s going to take time to dislodge these terrorists,” Obama said. “But our coalition is on the offensive. ISIL is on the defensive, and ISIL is going to lose.”

Big words from a man without a plan.  Big words towards a group that continues to grow in Europe (ISIL is now threatening Rome, Italy).  Big words towards a group that is rapidly expanding throughout the Middle East and northern Africa, attacking both Egypt and Libya as we speak.  Big words towards a group that is rapidly forming a Caliphate that is threatening the entire world; their latest atrocity is the beheading of twenty one Egyptian Christians.  [Obama never even called them Coptic Christians.  He referred to them as civilians.  They were murdered on the beach in Libya.  Likewise, he never calls Radical Islam by name either.  Furthermore, he makes the incredible statement that: “They are not a religion.”  With a president like Obama, who needs enemies?  At this time in our history, we do not need an apology touring, appeasing, cross this red line Neville Chamberlain.  We desperately need a Winston Churchill who will call evil for what it is, and boldly stand up against and confront it.]  Obama talks a lot and does the opposite of what he says.  It will always be surreal to me that America voted this community organizing extreme left wing neophyte into office twice.

Pray for the Lord to raise up Godly leadership in this nation before it is too late.  No one on the planet has access to God like the born again Christian- so pray.  Pray for revival in America.

“Temple” By Robert Cornuke

“The Indiana Jones” Of Judeo Christian, Bible Based Archaeology:

I have been following Bob Cornuke’s archaeological endeavors for many years.  Bob is president of Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration Institute (BASE Institute) located at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Bob calls himself an amateur archaeologist and Bible investigator, and if that is what he is, he is one of the best on the planet.  He simply uses the Bible as his “roadmap,” and follows the leads as referred to in the scriptures.  Many people (including myself) believe that he and others have located and documented the real mountain of Moses (Mount Horeb) in Saudi Arabia, called Jabal Al Lawz.  Furthermore, he has identified and located the four anchors from Paul’s shipwreck at the island of Malta (Melita), referred to in the book of Acts.  (Acts 27:14-44).  The book is cited below and is called the “Lost Shipwreck Of Paul.”  These discoveries, and many others, would justify a legacy and career for most folks, but Bob is still at it.  Now, he is shattering well established theories about the location of King Solomon’s Temple!  His book “Temple,” has sold out of copies and you will have to wait until March before additional printings are released.  (You can pre order it below).  His theory is that the Temple of Solomon is located at the City Of David district of Jerusalem, and NOT on the Temple Mount, where archaeologists have been looking the centuries.  Renown theologian and eschatologist Church Missler was skeptical at first, but after investigation and consideration, Missler believes Bob may be on to something.  Can you imagine all of the implications if this assessment is correct?  It would totally remove the “Muslim/Dome Of The Rock” dilemma of rebuilding the temple, if Solomon’s Temple was in the Jewish quarter called the City Of David.  The City Of David is in Israelite hands right now.  What would stop the Israelites from rebuilding the temple I ask you?  The rebuilding of the Temple Of Solomon is, of course, a premier sign of the end of times and the Great Tribulation.  The Lord willing,  I will hear Bob speak on this subject at the Orlando Summit 2015 in early March.  Folks, this is as cutting edge as it gets.  Because of the format of this article, you will have to surf down a bit in order to read it.    In His Service,  Pastor Steve

TEMPLE by Robert Cornuke
Amazing New Discoveries that Change Everything About the Location of
Solomon’s Temple
This brand new book titled, “TEMPLE” is absolutely an “investigative masterpiece” with outstanding archeological and prophetic implications.” Written by a famous American author and amateur archaeologist, Robert (Bob) Cornuke. Bob is president of the Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration Institute (BASE), which is operated from his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and has a Ph.D. in Bible and Theology, both from Louisiana Baptist University. He is the author of several books about his explorations over the last 20 years.
Bob describes himself as a biblical investigator. He has participated in over 50 expeditions searching for lost locations described in the Bible and has traveled across Afghanistan during U.S. bombing strikes on a video and photographic assignment. He states, “After several years of biblical research sparked by the writings of the late Dr. Ernest L. Martin, personal investigation, and the study of ancient documents, I have come to the conclusion that the temple built by Solomon was not located where tradition teaches. This has tremendous implications regarding end time events.” Bob goes on to say: “The greatest archeological blunder in all history has occurred by misplacing Solomon’s Temple on the Temple Mount rather than its correct location within the City of David.”
He asks if we can imagine the upheaval in political and religious thinking if the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is not the site of Solomon’s and Herod’s temples? And what if the stones of the Wailing Wall are not what tradition says? In this highly-researched and exciting book, Bob proposes from current archaeological excavations and Scriptural corroboration that the true temple location is not where tradition teaches.
Noted Bible teacher Chuck Missler (executive director of Koinonia House), recently accompanied Bob to the excavation site in the Kidron Valley. He states: “At first I was a skeptic, but the overwhelming evidence has convinced me of the true Temple location.”
Dr. William P. Welty, Bible scholar and executive director of the ISV Foundation says, “One politically explosive implication of this evidence is that those who wish to rebuild the Jerusalem Temple can now do so without disturbing the Muslim-controlled real estate called the ‘Temple Mount,’ but construct it on its true ancient site.”
University lecturer, Dr. Frank Turek, states: “I have been to the site with Bob Cornuke and, astoundingly, everything fits together biblically and historically.”
“Temple” is said to be sending shockwaves through the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian worlds. For those of you who are serious students of Bible prophecy and want to fit together the pieces of biblical records, current geo-politics, and prophecy, this book of 207 pages will change your life!

Another great book by…
Robert (Bob) Cornuke
In September of 2000, Bob Cornuke flew to Malta. That trip marked the start of nearly two years of research and discovery in search of the lost anchors described in Acts: 27.
The true story of The Lost Shipwreck of Paul reads like a gripping fiction noval, as Bob takes readers along with him into the investigation. Using techniques he learned as a police officer and crime scene investigator, he probes each angle of the mystery.
1. Was St. Paul’s Bay really the site of Paul’s shipwreck?
2. What route did Paul’s boat take, and where would that leave them when they dropped the anchors?
3. What type of boat was used, and what type of anchors would it have had?
4. Would the anchors have decayed over time?
5. What exactly happened on the night of the shipwreck?
Bob Cornuke takes you into his life experience to find the answer in his hardback book of 232 pages titled:
The Lost Shipwreck of Paul
Suspense and drama unfold in this riveting, true account that presents one of the most astounding discoveries of the century! It will keep you on the edge of your seat! Order your copy today!
