Former President, Jimmy Carter, Soon to Hear Dreaded Words from Jesus, “Depart From Me…”

Like the author of this article, Jeff Maples, I too have reservations about Jimmy Carter’s faith. Jimmy despised Adrian Rogers and others who boldly and unequivocally stood on the Word of God without apology. He appears to be a liberal Baptist, twisting the Truth to his own liking. According to reports, former President Jimmy Carter is approaching the end of his life, as shared by his grandson Jason Carter at the 28th Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum. Jason provided an update on the 99-year-old former president, who has been in hospice care for nearly a year and a half, stating, “He really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end, and I think he has been there in that space.”

As Carter spends his final days in his home in Plains, Georgia, his legacy and the implications of his lifelong advocacies come under renewed scrutiny.

Carter, who has often portrayed himself as a devout Christian, even a Southern Baptist Sunday School teacher at one time, has promoted policies and taken horrific views on key issues that could only be described as completely godless. While Carter has frequently invoked his faith in his public life, his unrelenting support for the LGBTQ movement and abortion, along with every other godless left-wing ideology under the sun, reveals a troubling state of his soul that should leave him in fear of the coming judgment.

Carter’s promotion of sexual immorality in our culture is one of the most glaring examples of his hatred of God. Despite the clear teachings of  Scripture regarding marriage and sexuality, Carter has championed the LGBTQ movement. In a 2015 interview with HuffPost Live, Carter asserted that Jesus would approve of same-sex marriage.

Even more grievously, Carter’s relentless advocacy for the death penalty for unborn children to be carried out on them for the crimes and sins of their parents demonstrates his hatred of the giver of life. As early as 1977, during his presidency, Carter supported federal funding for abortions in cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother. Over the years, he has maintained a position that allows for unfettered access to abortion, especially under various circumstances. By supporting abortion, Carter endorses a practice that ends innocent human lives, flagrantly violating the sanctity of life as ordained by God.

Carter’s advocacy for these positions has significantly impacted public policy and the broader cultural landscape. His support for LGBTQ rights and abortion has contributed to the normalization and legal recognition of these practices, having profound implications for religious freedom and the ability of Christians to live out their faith in the public square. As these issues become more entrenched in society, those who hold to  biblical principles face increasing pressure to conform to secular values.

Carter’s positions highlight a broader trend among those who claim the Christian faith yet embrace secular ideologies that conflict with  Scripture. This trend reflects a growing tendency to prioritize cultural relevance over  biblical fidelity, leading to a compromised witness in the public sphere. Carter’s example serves as a grave warning of the dangers of allowing personal or cultural preferences to supersede the authority of God’s Word.

In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus delivers a stern warning: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” Carter’s advocacy for godless ambitions such as LGBTQ rights and abortion aligns him with those who profess faith but deny its power and authority in their lives.

As Jimmy Carter nears the end of his earthly journey, we lament that he will soon likely hear these chilling words from our Lord. A truly saved person, being sanctified, cannot continue in abject rebellion against his Creator.  Scripture affirms that those who endure to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13). Carter’s legacy serves as a somber reminder of the need for unwavering commitment to  biblical truth and the perils of compromising with secular ideologies.

In these critical times, believers must remain steadfast in their commitment to God’s Word, upholding the sanctity of marriage and the value of human life. We must trust in the authority of  Scripture and reject any cultural trends that seek to undermine the foundations of our faith. Let us pray for true repentance and enduring faith, standing firm in the truth until the end.

How Did a Southern Baptist Leader Become America’s Top Lobbyist for Corrupt Policies in a Third World Nation

The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s (ERLC) Brent Leatherwood’s journey to the center of Southern Baptist policymaking reads not so much as a pilgrimage of faith but rather a trek through the thickets of political activism, where the compass often points left under the guise of “Christian justice.”

Leatherwood’s form of activism, which is a form of “third way-ism,” disguised as “conservatism,” suggests an attempt to straddle the divide between traditional conservatism and progressive ideologies.

Leatherwood’s political trajectory can be traced back to his tenure as the executive director of the Tennessee Republican Party, where his political savvy was honed not on the battlegrounds of polarizing rhetoric but within the more nuanced realms of policy and influence. His ascendancy within the ERLC began under the leadership of far-left political activist and Democrat staffer, Russell Moore, and was essentially a culmination of a career steeped in political strategy and engagement with civic issues.

Yet, it is precisely this background that should lead us to scrutinize the true north of his compass: Does his background point toward a synthesis of justice and Christian ethics, or is he merely using his Southern Baptist platform to advance an ideological agenda out of step with the majority of Southern Baptists.

The crux of the matter is whether Leatherwood’s political activism and policy inclinations harmonize with the chorus of voices within the denomination or is he, and the organization he works for, a rogue entity with no accountability.

In the aftermath of the tragic shooting at the hands of a “transgender” assailant at the Covenant Day School in Nashville—a school that his children also attend—Leatherwood’s response was to wield this moment of vulnerability as a fulcrum for gun control advocacy. It quickly became clear that this wasn’t a measured step toward school safety, it was an exploitation of grief for policy change.

In a letter addressed to Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, House Speaker Cameron Sexton, and all members of the legislature, Leatherwood presents an appeal from both his personal experience and on behalf of the majority Southern Baptist sentiment, according to The Tennessean. He urged lawmakers to ensure that no school in Tennessee ever has to endure the same nightmare as the Covenant School tragedy again.

Leatherwood told the lawmakers that Southern Baptists make up one-fifth of the population of Tennessee and have repeatedly called for ways to reduce gun violence, a seemingly veiled threat by the former leader of the TN Republican Party that he may use his power of leadership over Southern Baptists to sway the vote. “Other voices are saying there is too little time left in this legislative session to consider such a proposal. Little credence should be given to that,” he said in the letter, according to the Tennessean.

Leatherwood’s advocacy doesn’t pause at the nation’s internal strife but extends its hand across its borders. Here in the United States, he has consistently used his SBC platform to lobby for lax immigration policies, an approach unquestionably at odds with the concerns many Southern Baptists have about national security and the rule of law. His open borders and amnesty activism further accentuate the schism between his political advocacy and the sentiments of a significant portion of Southern Baptists he claims to represent.

The dichotomy between his domestic and international policy stances is unmistakable. While Leatherwood speaks for, so he says, Southern Baptists, a body whose majority disagrees with him, he stands on the backs of conservative Americans to push policies that are anti-American while lobbying Congress to defend a corrupt nation halfway around the planet.

Let’s break this down a bit. Brent Leatherwood, speaking on behalf of over 13 million Southern Baptists, asks lawmakers to implement harsh and ineffective gun control policies in the United States which would only benefit criminals while also asking Congress to force the American taxpayer to send unlimited guns and weapons to Ukraine—who knows whose hands that will end up in.

Same with border control. As millions of invaders cross the American Southern border, Leatherwood lobbies for amnesty as he pushes Congress to defend the Ukrainian border at the expense of the American worker.

The greater question here is not only are Leatherwood’s political views unbiblical and progressive but what is the role of the denomination in public policy making? Should someone in such an influential religious position use his platform to push political policies—particularly, really bad political policies?

I’m not sure, but I’m inclined to believe that the Church has a duty to speak  biblical truth to the conscience of the nation, including to lawmakers, that would influence policies that are God-honoring. But the alignment—or misalignment—of Leatherwood’s progressive political activism with the conservative political and Christian views of most Southern Baptists brings to light these questions. Where is the accountability?

ERLC’s Brent Leatherwood Confronted by Media For His Suppression of the Trans Shooter’s Motive at Christian School

Another of the myriad of reasons that our church left the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Leader after leader are afraid to boldly stand on the Word and confront the apostasy of our times. Brent Leatherwood is all about job security, and as far as truth, the Word, and scripture, he has the backbone of a jellyfish. The video below, reveals Leatherwood to be a wolf in sheepskin. His demeanor is that of a secular CEO and does not represent the Christian faith in the least. He is concerned about his position and he is afraid of apostates, and cares not for the Lord’s truth. Personally, I could not stay with such a denomination and sleep soundly. In Christ, Pastor Steve <><

…instead be deadly to Leatherwood’s and the ERLC’s cause. After the release of the Nashville shooter’s manifesto yesterday, Leatherwood held a press briefing with arguably one of the most disingenuous displays of passion I’ve ever seen—it was borderline sociopathic.

Earlier this week, Leatherwood was confronted by Steven Crowder and his team after a court hearing as Leatherwood continues to push for a court order to keep any information regarding the motivation of this attack from the public. Leatherwood, like the weasel that he is, refuses to answer any questions and acts just like any leftist politician who is more concerned about his career than he is about the truth.

On March 27, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, which resulted in multiple fatalities. The attack was carried out by a transgender leftist who had written a “manifesto” which has currently been withheld due to public records requests made by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department as well as the activism of Southern Baptist Convention ERLC head, Brent Leatherwood.

Brent Leatherwood, head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s public policy arm, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), is calling on TN lawmakers to back a proposal by Governor Bill Lee for an extreme risk protective order law, also known as red flag laws. The proposal would allow the state to temporarily restrict gun purchases if the state deems one to be a danger to themselves or others, yet the criteria that would be used to make the determination remains unclear.

Brent Leatherwood, who is also a parent of three children at Covenant School where the shooting by a deranged transgender assailant took place, shared his experience of receiving a call that a shooter was at the school. In a series of tweets on April 3, he recounted how the trauma and memories of the tragedy would be with his family for the rest of their lives.

“We’ve become numb to these tragedies as a society,” Leatherwood wrote on Twitter. “Defenseless, innocent lives being taken. We should never accept this as a reality. We need to commit ourselves to finding an answer to this epidemic and not rest until it is solved. Count me as a solution seeker on this.”

Unsurprisingly, Leatherwood has exploited this tragedy and used his platform as a Southern Baptist leader in order to advance stricter anti-Second Amendment gun control laws. In a letter addressed to Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, House Speaker Cameron Sexton, and all members of the legislature, Leatherwood presented an appeal from both his personal experience and on behalf of the majority Southern Baptist sentiment, according to The Tennessean.

In a report at the Epoch Times, it has been further revealed that Leatherwood had not only been advocating for stricter gun laws, but he’s also been working overtime to censor the manifesto written by the deranged transgender activist who killed innocent people on that day. While one would think that a conservative, Bible-believing Christian leader in his right mind could only think of a deranged, transvestite killer as an “unhinged activist,” instead, Leatherwood refers to those who are calling for transparency as such.

The following is from the Epoch Times:

Brent and Meredith Leatherwood, parents of three children who were present that day, echo Kinney in saying their current anguish comes from “unhinged activists, unthinking partisans, conspiracy theorists, and various media outlets that value clicks over their community.”

The Leatherwoods said their family had also received “hints” of threats of legal action in order to intimidate them from trying to stop the release of the records. Leatherwood, through his position with the Southern Baptist Convention, has called on stricter gun laws following the shooting.

In November 2023, copies of the shooter’s manifesto were released by Steven Crowder and his media team. Leatherwood proceeded to attack the media and others who had been pushing for the release.

Leatherwood, along with a minority coalition of other parents in the school, had been seeking every possible way to stop the release of the shooter’s written manifesto to the public, and had been successful in preventing the release for several months.

From the release of the manifesto, the Nashville shooter was revealed, as suspected, to be racially motivated in her attack. In fact, the manifesto clearly demonstrated a motive that was built upon the ideologies of Critical Race Theory and anti-white sentiment. Leatherwood, knowing this, had claimed that the release of the manifesto and the motive for this person’s attack was not important and would “re-victimize” the parents and students at the school.

However, in the 2019 El Paso shooting, the ERLC believed that the motive for the attack was important. But that attack was motivated by “white supremacy,” a narrative they had been pushing as a dangerous and deadly ideology.

But since the motive for the Nashville shooting went against the narrative of “white supremacy,” it became clear that the release of the information wouldn’t be deadly to others, but would instead be deadly to Leatherwood’s and the ERLC’s cause.

Ten Reasons Why a Christian Should Never Attend a Homosexual “Wedding”

I have spoken with professing Christians who have attended such apostate events. As for me, there is no decision to make. The Holy Spirit makes me cringe at the very thought of being there! Why would any Christian who claims to be born from above, attend such an abominable event!(Leviticus 18:22, Roman 1:26-27)The idea that this is even a topic to discuss reveals the deplorable state of Christianity in today’s world. Pastor Steve <><

Luke 18:8b: “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”  [It is as if Christ is predicting that faith in God will have waned so badly as to have departed from mankind].

Ten Reasons Why a Christian Should Never Attend a Homosexual “Wedding”

In today’s Evangelical landscape, a seismic shift is unfolding, notably influenced by movements like Revoice and Living Out that have influenced Evangelical churches and advocate for a more inclusive approach within the church toward aberrant sexualities. Revoice, which emerged within Presbyterian (PCA) and Southern Baptist circles, promotes a perspective on “same-sex attraction” that is intertwined with contemporary pop psychology and personal experience rather than Scripture.

Similarly, Living Out calls for “inclusivity” and “empathy” towards homosexuals in the church, which has resonated with compromised Evangelical institutions such as The Gospel Coalition (TGC) and the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). This trend marks a drastic departure from the historic Church and traditional, orthodox biblical views on sexuality and marriage and mirrors the broader cultural movement towards inclusivity.

This ideological shift poses an important challenge to the Evangelical Church—to navigate the tension between upholding biblical doctrine and conforming to societal pressures. For those of us committed to a traditional, conservative approach to Scripture, these developments are alarming and represent the broader Church’s abandonment of biblical authority, especially on human sexuality and marriage. This juncture calls for uncompromising conviction and a firm commitment to the authority of Scripture amidst a rapidly evolving cultural and theological landscape.

In light of this recent trend to capitulate on homosexuality, particularly as it relates to Christians compromising by attending the “weddings” (we know they’re not real weddings), here are three reasons why Christians should never do so:

1.) Contradiction of Biblical Marriage Doctrine: This is probably the most obvious reason and goes without saying, but it’s also the most important reason. Traditional Christian doctrine teaches that marriage is a sacred institution established by God between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24). Attending a homosexual will be seen as endorsing a view of marriage that contradicts this foundational biblical teaching, even if that isn’t the intent. Why would one attend if they didn’t agree with it? Is this what God would want? Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3)

2.) Implicit Endorsement of Sin: The Bible categorizes homosexual acts as sinful (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27). By attending such a “wedding,” it will be perceived that one is tacitly endorsing these practices, which conflicts with the call to live a life in obedience to Scripture. Similar to number 1, Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3) The Bible calls us to “take no part” in sin, rather expose it (Ephesians 5:11).

3.) Compromise of Witness: Christians are called to be witnesses to the truth of God’s Word (Acts 1:8). Participating in events that celebrate practices contrary to biblical teachings clearly compromises this witness and dilutes the message of the gospel and the call to repentance and faith.

4.) Love in Truth: While Christians are called to love all people (Matthew 22:39), this love does not entail condoning actions that are contrary to God’s will. True love involves speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), which means not participating in events that celebrate what the Bible considers sin. Participating in such an event hinders our ability to speak truthfully when we should be.

5.) Respect for Authority of Scripture: By not attending, a Christian demonstrates a respect for the authority of Scripture as the final guide in matters of faith and conduct, including social issues and the definition of marriage.

6.) Guarding Personal Convictions: Attending a homosexual “wedding” should conflict with a Christian’s personal convictions, which are formed and informed by their understanding of biblical teachings. If they do not, one should examine rather they are truly in the faith. It’s important for Christians to guard these convictions to maintain a clear conscience before God (Romans 14:22-23).

7.) Avoiding Confusion in the Church: Participation in a homosexual “wedding” creates confusion and even stumbling blocks within the Christian community, especially among new believers or those struggling with understanding biblical teachings on sexuality and marriage.

8.) Prioritizing God’s Approval over Social Pressure: Choosing not to attend such an event may go against societal norms or pressures, but it prioritizes seeking God’s approval rather than conforming to the patterns of the world (Romans 12:2). The Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 1:10 that when we begin to seek man’s approval over God’s, we cease to be His servants.

9.) Faithfulness to Christian Doctrine: This choice reflects a commitment to living out one’s faith authentically and faithfully, in accordance with the doctrines and teachings of orthodox Christianity, even when it’s countercultural. It demonstrates that we actually believe what we say we believe and preach. James 1:22 calls us to not deceive ourselves by being hypocritical hearers of the word only but to actually be doers of the word.

10.) Upholding the Sanctity of Marriage and the Gospel: Finally, and very importantly, by abstaining from attending the “wedding” of homosexuals, Christians uphold the sanctity of marriage as defined in the Bible, affirming its unique role and purpose in God’s design for humanity as well as His redemptive purposes. Ephesians 5:31, states, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh…” Marriage is a picture of the gospel, and if we distort that picture, we distort the gospel.

I hope this gives you food for thought. Of course, each of these topics could be expanded on, and if there is enough interest, I may do so one by one in separate articles. But this should be a good starting point for those struggling with how to answer and respond to this contentious issue. Should we approach the issue with pragmatism and what we think will work best? Or should we be obedient to God despite what we think or feel?

************************************************

Below is a follow-up article to the one you just read, also written by The Dissenter by Reformation Charlotte:

In my previous exposition, Ten Reasons Why a Christian Should Never Attend a Homosexual “Wedding,” I cataloged a series of arguments, painting a picture of how such events are an abomination in the eyes of God. The list, although somewhat extensive, only skimmed the surface of this deep-seated issue, which is rooted primarily in spiritual defilement, but also in societal moral decay.

This discourse was intended as a guide for those navigating the precarious waters of familial and social pressures, offering a biblical perspective to stand against the tide. Each point, though briefly touched upon, is a doorway to a more profound truth that reveals the stark contrast between godly holiness and deviant sexual behavior. In this series, we’ll delve deeper into each reason as we aim to shed light on the God-hating nature of such ceremonies, and the imperative for those who follow Christ to unequivocally reject and stand apart from such defilement.

In this first part, we’ll talk more about such an ungodly union as a contradiction of the biblical doctrine of marriage.

In today’s social climate, the institution of marriage, as biblically ordained, faces not just a challenge, but a potential collapse under the weight of postmodern reinterpretations. As decreed in Genesis 2:24, the sacred covenant where a man leaves his father and mother to unite with his wife, forming an inseparable bond, stands supreme in the biblical hierarchy of human relationships. This divine blueprint, unambiguous in its simplicity and profound in its depth, has weathered centuries, serving as the bedrock of societal structure and spiritual symbolism.

However, the sanctity of this God-ordained institution is now being contested by waves of contemporary ideologies that promote every kind of aberrant sexual union under the sun, save a marriage between one man and one woman. Attending a homosexual wedding isn’t a mere social formality or loving gesture—it’s a profound statement, a declaration that tacitly endorses a model of union that is indecent and impure.

The beating heart of this issue is not intolerance or lack of compassion, as many conclude. Rather, it’s about fidelity to the unaltered Word of God. Though it has been treated as such by contemporary idealogues, the biblical doctrine of marriage is not a relic of the past that is subject to revision with every wind of social change and rebellion against the Creator. It’s a timeless decree, resilient and unyielding in the face of cultural redefinitions.

To partake in celebrations that validate relationships condemned in Scripture is to pollute the pristine stream of biblical doctrine—it’s an active engagement in blurring the lines of God’s commandments. It’s a lot like how the Israelites’ worship of the golden calf in Exodus 32 was an affront to the Lord’s command to have no other gods. In doing so, we echo the errors of ancient Israel, intertwining with practices that the Bible explicitly denounces.

The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 10:21, warns believers not to partake of the table of demons after partaking of the Lord’s table, stressing the incompatibility between fellowship with Christ and fellowship with darkness. Similarly, James 4:4 declares friendship with the world as enmity with God, which tells us that one cannot be a partaker of both without deeply marring the purity of faith.

By aligning ourselves with such wickedness, we risk not just personal spiritual defilement but also contributing to a broader erosion of scriptural integrity within the body of Christ. In 2 Peter 2:1-2, the apostle speaks of false teachers who secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord—our actions and associations can either fortify the church’s doctrinal purity or, conversely, introduce elements that lead to its gradual decay.

The purity of biblical marriage doctrine is not a trivial matter, to be compromised or negotiated. It reflects Christ’s union with His church—holy, unblemished, and set apart. To stand by this truth is not an act of hatred, intolerance, or judgmentalism. Rather it’s an act of allegiance to the supremacy of Christ and authority of the scriptures, and a testament to the unchangeable nature of God’s Word amidst an ever-changing world.

As believers firmly rooted in the Scripture, the call is clear. It’s a call to uphold the sanctity of biblical marriage, to resist the tides of cultural compromise, and to stand, tireless and decisively, for the truth that has been entrusted to us—no matter how counter-cultural or unpopular it may be. In doing so, we honor not just God’s ordinance, but the Creator Himself, who designed marriage not just for temporal joy, but as a symbol of His eternal covenant with His own bride.

Hulk Hogan Gets Baptized, “Total Surrender and Dedication to Jesus”

I love it when worldly VIP’s become saved. The scripture cited below reminds us that it is not a common occurrence. May the Lord bless Hulk Hogan’s growth in discipleship. The Lord placed him in a unique arena to be a great witness for Jesus Christ.Check out the big guy’s testimony! Because of Him, Pastor Steve <><

I Corinthians 1:26-27(KJV)

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, …

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 The Message (MSG)

Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.”

Hulk Hogan Gets Baptized, “Total Surrender and Dedication to Jesus”

JEFFDEC 21

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was recently baptized at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida, an event he described as “the greatest day of my life.” His wife, Sky Daily Hogan, also participated in the baptism. Hogan, known for his extensive and storied wrestling career, expressed his renewed dedication to his Christian faith, stating, “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life.” This baptism follows their marriage a few months earlier and reflects Hogan’s long-standing connection to Christianity.

Hogan, a legendary figure in professional wrestling, has had a significant religious journey that intertwines with his career and personal life. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, has publicly expressed his Christian faith on several occasions.

Hogan claims he first accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 14. This early acceptance of faith played a vital role in shaping his perspectives and life decisions. Despite the challenges and the high-profile nature of his career, Hogan maintained a connection with his faith throughout his life. In recent years, he has increasingly focused on his religious beliefs, culminating in a baptism ceremony at the age of 70, alongside his wife, Sky Daily Hogan. This event was a public declaration of his faith and commitment to a life of purity and love.

I’m Prepared to Die. I Hope You Are Too.

During the current political crisis in America and around the world, it’s easy to become frustrated and overwhelmed by what could happen. For many, taking a stand for your faith, your conscience, and your values could spell the end of your career, your income, your livelihood, and even your life.

For some, refusing an experimental medical procedure that was passed off as a “vaccine” has already cost them jobs. And while it seems like that push has tapered down somewhat for a time, Democrats are vowing to push even harder next time. It doesn’t appear as though it will get any better any time soon. In fact, the Biden administration has even promised to continue to make the national supply chain crisis worse until everyone has succumbed to the vaccine mandates. Many, if not most, will likely cave. This is the definition of tyranny.

There is no doubt about it, especially when children are involved, that people just want to return to their normal lives. But others see the bigger issue at play. Succumbing to tyranny never results in less tyranny; it always results in more. And this is why people are worried. Some are willing to die for the cause; liberty has never been gained or preserved without those who are willing and prepared to give their life for it.

As Christians, however, we have something the other side doesn’t have. We have peace. We are not tormented and enslaved by the fear of death the way the Pagans are (Hebrews 2:15)—this is why they desperately seek worldly solutions. But their efforts are futile; truth and integrity will outlast all of that.

As we seek to continue to proclaim Christ and stand for truth and justice, here are some things to remember:

  • As Christians, we are called to obey the Scriptures—even when it doesn’t seem feasible or even logical to do so. Jesus said we would be blessed (Luke 11:28).
  • We are told to trust in God alone, not the schemes of men, the laws of the land, science or medical innovations, and especially ourselves. These things may be gifts from God when used properly, but they are not replacements for His sovereignty (Proverbs 3:5-6).
  • We should be prepared to die and live as though it is our last day. What we do on Earth should be focused on Heaven and we should seek to do things that will have eternal consequences. As Christians, our hearts and treasures should be in Heaven (Matthew 6:19-21).

Every moment we have in this life should be focused on the glory of God. This means being obedient, exercising faith, and seeing that the gospel goes forth. It’s easy to get caught up in the whims of culture—the professing Church may be focused on the whims of the Pagan culture. Things such as racism and social justice. And they do so at the expense of the gospel. But we must turn our focus away from these things as they do not build up our Heavenly treasury.

2 Corinthians 8:9 draws a beautiful picture of what it means to store up treasures in Heaven,

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

This is the gospel of Jesus Christ, that Jesus laid down His life so that we could live. That beautiful truth, that Christ came to Earth as God, in the form of a man and lived a perfect life—a life that we could not live. He fulfilled the requirement of God’s law completely, never once sinned. Yet, He died in our place according to the Scriptures, took the punishment that we deserved on the cross bearing the full wrath of God the Father, was buried, and rose again three days later, defeating sin and death, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father forever making intercession for those who would repent and believe on Him.

This is the only treasure we need to worry about storing up. I am a sinner like no one else. Though it can be tempting sometimes, I honestly can’t point to anyone and say that person is a worse sinner than I am. I’ve been addicted to drugs. I’ve been to prison in a foreign country. And yet, somehow, God chose me out of the muck and mire of a life that I was in and He used the death of my own father to start that process.

Make sure you pass that good news on to as many people as possible before you leave this world, whether it be tomorrow or 80 years from now. Do not fear, cast your anxieties on Him (1 Peter 5:7), repent of your sin, and trust in Him alone. I hope you’re prepared to die.

The Ohio Vote Is Only the First Step in America’s Descent into the Valley of Death’s Shadow

Yesterday, this nation witnessed in the state of Ohio arguably the most blatant rejection of God that has manifested in our time through the approval of Issue 1, a state constitutional amendment that cements the right of women to murder their children. In a move that can only be seen as a profound departure from reality and a rejection of the sanctity of life, Ohio voters, by a margin of 56 percent to 44% percent, have enshrined the ability to commit abortion up to 21 weeks and six days into their state constitution. This decision is not just a legal or political shift—it’s a deeply spiritual one, echoing the harrowing warnings of Scripture.

In Proverbs 8:36, the stark dichotomy between loving God and loving death is laid bare with unyielding clarity: “But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.” It’s a chilling affirmation that to sin against God is to launch a personal assault on the very essence of one’s own soul. It is not merely an act of defiance but a profound betrayal of the intrinsic nature of existence as fashioned by God’s hand. To hate God, as this Scripture attests, is to have an affair with death, to court it, to seduce it into the inner chambers of society’s values and ethics.

Then, In Romans 1, we are given a solemn tour through the desolate landscapes of a fallen world, where God’s hand of restraint is gradually lifted, allowing humanity to descend into the mire of its own making. This chapter portrays a divine standstill, where God, in His righteous judgment, permits the nations to tread the muddied waters of their own chosen paths. The text unveils a grim procession of humanity’s heart, turning away from the glory of the immortal God to worship the created rather than the Creator. It speaks of God giving them over to the corrupt desires of their hearts, to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves.

As the Apostle Paul outlines, a society given over to its own lusts and desires suppresses the truth, and in doing so, reaps the consequences of its choices—envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. Quickly becoming haters of God, inventors of evil, foolish, faithless, heartless, and ruthless, among other things. The stark reality we face is that America, as a whole, is not just drifting but is actively steering away from its moral compass, celebrating what once was universally acknowledged as abhorrent.

All of this—committing adultery with death, being given over to a reprobate mind, suppressing the truth about God—is playing out before our eyes. The tragic irony is that this amendment is viewed as a victory to the majority of this nation, an advancement of rights, when in reality, it is a profound loss—a loss of moral clarity, of the intrinsic value of human life, and of the acknowledgment of God’s sovereignty over His creation.

When a society revels in the right to terminate the innocent, it is an act of worship at the altar of self, an idolatry of the highest order that proclaims autonomy over divinity. By loving death, by institutionalizing and protecting the mechanism of the unborn’s demise, society is not just turning away from God—it is in active enmity against Him. It is a love affair with the abyss, a covenant with chaos, and a pledge of allegiance to the very shadow of evil.

Make no mistake about it, this is only the beginning—the birth pangs. We must brace ourselves for the reality that a course correction for America is not only unlikely but, given the trajectory, increasingly unfeasible. The remnant of believers who have not bowed the knee to Ba’al must prepare for the possibility of facing extreme persecution. This is not a call for despair but for sober recognition of the times we are in, and the steadfastness required to face them with conviction and unwavering faith.

The passage of Issue 1 in Ohio is not an isolated incident, it is a symptom of a nation that has turned its back on God. As the cultural and legal landscape continues to move in this direction, those who stand for biblical truth must do so with eyes wide open, knowing the cost, but also the eternal worth of such a stand.

Leftists Complain That New House Speaker and His Son Hold Each Other Accountable for Online Viewing Habits

Like Old Testament Daniel, House Speaker Mike Johnson’s life is an open book for all the world to see. Read the article below to see how the Left reacts. They HATE people who submit to the precepts of God. Men can easily stumble through viewing the wrong things, and a father and son holding each other accountable is a beautiful thing, is it not? The Left despises this mindset and paints the Speaker and son as “creepy, etc.” This speaks volumes of their immoral worldview, and chagrin towards those who truly follow the Lord. Mike Johnson humiliates them. The Left’s motto is “everyone does it so just cover it up.” The light from Mike Johnson is exposing their darkness.

Amen and amen, Pastor Steve <><

Covenant Eyes is a subscription-based online service that offers monitoring solutions for device usage. By installing this program, users have their device activity tracked and shared with a chosen accountability partner. This service is frequently utilized by people seeking to overcome pornography addiction, providing them with a system of accountability for their online viewing habits.

Additionally, it serves as a tool for maintaining transparency for those who want to openly share their internet activity, preemptively addressing any potential accusations. It is particularly beneficial for people in roles of public trust, like politicians, and for those in spiritual or educational leadership, such as pastors and teachers, who are expected to adhere to higher ethical standards.

Yet, for leftists, holding each other accountable appears to be taboo. New House Speaker, Mike Johnson, used the software with his 17-year-old son, where they received weekly reports of each others online viewing. In a report at Rolling Stone, apparantly, this is unacceptable.

Rolling Stone posted the video by a Twitter user named Receipt Maven, complaining that because of this software, his dad might find out his son is watching porn—which, he wasn’t.

But it was actually the headline of the Rolling Stone article that drew the most ire from the left. The headline, as posted on Twitter, simply read “Mike Johnson Admits He and His Son Monitor Each Other’s Porn Intake in Resurfaced Video” leading many to think that they were actually regulating each other’s porn intake, rather than eliminating it altogether. These were the kind of responses from these leftist clowns:

SBC Leaders Look to General Consensus Rather Than Scripture for Path Forward in New Lifeway Survey

The Southern Baptist Convention appears to be on the verge of collapse, highly influenced by liberalism and secular leftist ideologies. Internal murmurs indicate a denomination increasingly infected by the toxic ideology of wokeness. Southern Baptist pastors—like Dwight McKissic—have made public their support for the legal right of women to have abortions and the spiritual vigor of this denomination is clearly waning. Its integrity has been morally and theologically compromised by an alluring but destructive social justice narrative.

But don’t worry, your leaders have a plan to fix it. In a recent update from the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), in collaboration with Lifeway Research, the denomination launched an online survey, seeking opinions from its congregations. The update states, “We believe it’s crucial to hear from you and your fellow church members to gain insights into the diverse opinions surrounding the Cooperative Program.”

But here’s the concern, when did the voices of fallible humans become more “crucial” than the voice of our infallible, inerrant Scripture?

One of the questions in the survey reads, “Our church is concerned that liberal ideologies are influencing too much of the direction of the SBC entities funded by the Cooperative Program.” Another states, “Our church is concerned that right-wing ideologies are influencing too much of the direction of the SBC entities funded by the Cooperative Program.” The framing of these questions suggests a subtle bias: while “liberal ideologies” are neutrally mentioned, the term “right-wing ideologies” carries with it a specific political connotation often used pejoratively in left-leaning discourses.

Additionally, another question posits, “The doctrine or practices of other Southern Baptist churches is making our church question whether we should continue to be affiliated with the SBC.” With the space to answer on a scale of “Strongly Agree” to “Strongly Disagree,” these questions seem designed not just to gauge, but to subtly steer respondents. The phrasing of these questions hint at a gravitating pull towards human consensus over biblical guidance and, possibly [gasp] using the power of suggestion to move respondents toward the left.

It’s hard not to wonder if the current leadership, including SBC president Bart Barber and Cooperation Group Chairman Jared Wellman who put out the survey, are more interested in appeasing a multitude of voices rather than strictly looking to Scripture for guidance. As the church’s decision-making process becomes influenced by popular sentiment, it becomes swayed by cultural trends and political correctness rather than biblical morality—holiness and righteousness according to God’s standard.

Of course, surveys can be useful tools. But when such tools dictate the path of an entire denomination—as the update from Wellman clearly suggests it is—we have to question the motivations and outcomes. Are we, as a church body, seeking the approval of man and the comfort of majority agreement? If the survey were for informational purposes only, that would be one thing. But it’s hard to see this any other way.

********************************

So the Bible is no longer the measuring rod for the Southern Baptist Convention? Wet your finger, stick it in the air, and see which the wind is blowing, right? So much for sola scriptura. Now many condone LFBTQ+ / Sodomy and it matters not what the Bible says. Another of the plethora of reasons that our church exited the SBC fifteen months ago. In Christ, Pastor Steve <><

Happy All Saints Day! Let’s Talk About the Martyrs Who Died at the Hands of the Catholic Church

Wycliffe burned at the stake

Today is All Saints’ Day, a day when Roman Catholics around the world pay homage to their canonized saints. But let’s shatter the usual narrative and cast the spotlight where it’s often deliberately avoided—on the indomitable Protestant martyrs who were gruesomely executed by the Roman Catholic Church. These were not mere dissenters or reformers—these were defenders of the gospel who chose excruciating death over compromising their convictions. And while the Roman Catholic Church would love for their stories to be discounted, wiped out, made into mere footnotes in religious history, the reality is that they are monumental testimonies to the enduring power of the Holy Spirit through faith in the face of relentless persecution.

Over the centuries, countless men and women have faced unspeakable horrors and brutal executions, most often at the hands of Roman Catholics, all because they dared to challenge a religious system they believed was corrupt and contrary to the teachings of Scripture. These certainly were not rabble-rousers or anarchists, these were men and women rooted in the Word of God, who held to their convictions with an unyielding resolve that should stir every believing heart.

The bloody era of the Reformation encapsulates the severity of what was at stake. Men like William Tyndale, who was strangled and burned at the stake, gave their lives so that the Bible could be read in the vernacular. Tyndale’s crime? Translating the Scriptures into English so that even the common plowboy could have access to God’s Word. He wasn’t doing this to try to undermine civil order. Rather, his mission was to ensure that the true gospel could be understood by the people, free from the convoluted doctrines and practices of the Roman Catholic Church.

Then there was Hugh Latimer and Nicholas Ridley, burned alive in Oxford for their belief in the authority of Scripture over church traditions, the doctrine of justification by faith alone, and the rejection of papal authority. These were educated men who had much to lose in terms of earthly goods and reputation. Yet, when they were given the choice to recant these specific beliefs or die, they chose the latter. Why? Because they understood that allegiance to these core tenets of the gospel was far more important than sparing their earthly lives. Their deaths were not in vain but served as a roaring declaration that such foundational truths could not be suppressed.

John Huss, a predecessor to Martin Luther, met a similar fate. He was burned at the stake for heresy, a charge leveraged against him for his criticisms of the moral failings and theological errors within the Roman Catholic Church.

Jerome of Prague was not merely a close associate of John Huss but a compelling theologian and philosopher in his own right. He was a master of multiple languages and well-versed in both the Scriptures and the early church fathers. Having studied at the universities of Prague, Oxford, Paris, and Heidelberg, Jerome was an intellectual force to be reckoned with. He was deeply influenced by the teachings of John Wycliffe and his fellow countryman John Huss. Together with Huss, Jerome sought to reform the Roman Catholic Church, challenging its excesses, doctrinal errors, and unbiblical practices.

But Jerome’s brilliance and commitment to the gospel would put him on a collision course with the Roman Catholic hierarchy. He was arrested and charged with heresy, much like his friend Huss. Jerome initially recanted his views under the threat of execution but later revoked his recantation, unable to betray his conscience and the truths he found in the Scriptures. In 1416, about a year after the execution of John Huss, Jerome too was burned at the stake. But even as the flames rose around him, he did not waver. Jerome displayed remarkable courage and composure, reportedly singing a hymn—specifically, the liturgical Latin hymn known as the “Te Deum,” a hymn of praise to God—as he met his gruesome end…
