In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,” but some modern Christians aren’t quite sure about that.
According to Pew Research’s 2014 Religious Landscape Study, 66 percent of American Christians say many religions can lead to eternal life.
That sentiment is most popular among mainline Protestants (80 percent) and Catholics (79 percent).
Most Orthodox Christians (68 percent), black Protestants (57 percent), and evangelicals (52 percent) also agree.
Among non-Christian groups, Hindus (96 percent), Buddhists (83 percent), and Jews (79 percent) are most likely to agree many religions can lead to eternal life.
A majority of Muslims (65 percent) agree, while fewer Mormons (40 percent) say the same.
The least likely religious group in America to believe there are many ways to eternal life is Jehovah’s Witnesses (8 percent).
While still high, belief in many paths leading to eternal life drops among Christians when specifically asked about non-Christian faiths.
When asked if some non-Christian religions can lead to eternal life, 50 percent of Christians agree.
Almost 3 in 10 Christians (29 percent) say their religion is the only true faith and another 12 percent say only Christianity will lead to eternal life.
Majorities of Catholics (68 percent), mainline Protestants (65 percent), and Orthodox Christians (59 percent) say some non-Christian religions can lead to eternal life.
Historically black Protestants (38 percent) and evangelicals (31 percent) are least likely to say some non-Christian religions can lead to eternal life.

LifeWay Research heaven chart
In 2016, LifeWay Research found 64 percent of Americans say God accepts the worship of all religions. The one demographic holdout is Americans with evangelical beliefs, among whom 48 percent agree.
Americans are also hesitant to say non-Christians spend eternity in hell. While 84 percent of those with evangelical beliefs say that is the case, only 40 percent of Americans as a whole agree.
Contradictory beliefs about the afterlife are seemingly no problem for many Americans.
Sixty percent say heaven is a place where all people will ultimately be reunited with their loved ones, but 54 percent say only those who trust in Jesus alone as their Savior receive God’s free gift of eternal salvation.
A slim majority of Americans (52 percent) also say they partly contribute to earning their place in heaven with the good deeds they do.

Whiners Take All?

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) is homogenized with the world’s elitists and global agenda to transform America.  The Deep State and/or Shadow Government desires to undo absolutely everything this nation was built upon, hence the demonization of our founding fathers, our religious freedoms based on the Judeo Christian ethic, and our uniqueness and exceptionalism.

“The name of Christians being extinguished”

American Renewal Project <info@usarenewalproject.com> Apr‎ ‎24 at ‎3‎:‎15‎ ‎AM

Nothing could be further from the truth than what comes across as a contest between Democrats and Republicans. In reality, two distinct and immutable religions – Christianity and Secularism – are vying for ideological supremacy in the public square. A better labeling would read: America is smack-dab in the middle of a ‘cultural civil war’. Eventually, one worldview will triumph over the other.
This is by no means a new historical phenomenon, as Spurgeon informs us:
“A medal was struck by Diocletian, which still remains, bearing the inscription, ‘The name of Christians being extinguished’. And in Spain, [a] monumental pillar [was] raised, on which [was] written: ‘Diocletian Jovian Maximian Herculeus Caesares Augusti, for having adopted Galerius in the east, for having everywhere abolished the superstition of Christ, for having extended the worship of the gods.’ As a modern writer has elegantly observed: ‘We have here a monument raised by Paganism, over the grave of its vanquished foe. But in this ‘the people imagined a vain thing’; so far from being deceased, Christianity was on the eve of its final and permanent triumph, and the stone guarded a sepulcher empty as the urn that Electra washed with her tears. Neither in Spain, nor elsewhere, can be pointed out the burial place of Christianity; it is not, for the living have no tomb.’” [1]
Modern Christendom is inclined to blame “humanists, pagans and Muslims, Marxists or other groups for the state of our culture and its idolatrous turn, but God calls His people to first take a long hard look at themselves in accounting for the decline of our social order.” [2]
America’s founders understood the basic fact that virtue and liberty are inseparably linked, and that freedom “cannot long be preserved in the absence of virtue among the people and their representatives.” [3]

Liberty depends upon virtue, and virtue depends upon Christianity.
These truths have now been stripped from government-controlled education. Christians have surrendered the ministry of civil government to secularists, who are in rebellion against God. Secularism has brought to bear its own religious, ethical, and political doctrines in America.[4]
Under the influence of pietism the scope of spiritual engagement in America has been reduced to “his or her personal life, family life, and the affairs of the church as an ecclesiastical organization.” [5] No wonder that Secularism managed to hijack the founders’ master plan.
Americans want God’s help, but not His holiness. The nation reckons that it is useful to have God on its side. To honor God, to all appearances, we attend church on Christmas and Easter, say a prayer for the right parking spot, or ask the pastor to bless a marriage or a new home. But what we really want is a God who will help us to get our own way. We call for a God to help us getting things done, as long as we can keep our own views and live our own lives. [6]
As a result, America has reached a tipping point as God is beginning to assign His time-tested veterans to the front ranks. This battle for the Soul of America will unfold over the next thirty years, and God’s plans are not transparent.
A.W. Pink describes the spirit and training of those whom God is moving to the frontlines. [7]
“It is this very loneliness of the saint that serves to make manifest the genuineness of his faith. There is nothing remarkable in one believing what all his associates believe, but to have faith when surrounded by skeptics, is something noteworthy. To stand alone, to be the solitary champion of a righteous cause when all others are federated unto evil, is a rare sight. Yet such was Rahab. There were none in Jericho with whom she could have fellowship, none there to encourage her heart and strengthen her hands by their godly counsel and example: all the more opportunity for her to prove the sufficiency of Divine grace! Scan slowly the list presented in Hebrews 11, and then recall the recorded circumstances of each. With whom did Abel, Enoch, Noah have spiritual communion? From what brethren did Joseph, Moses, Gideon receive any help along the way? Who were the ones who encouraged and emboldened Elijah, Daniel, Nehemiah? Then think it not strange that you are called to walk almost if not entirely alone, that you meet with scarcely any like-minded or any who are capable of giving you a lift along the road.”

Secularism’s destruction of America’s once biblically-based culture can be counteracted by:
• Reestablishing prayer in America’s churches, led by the senior pastor.
• Men and Women of Issachar running for local office: city councils, school boards, parks and recreation, etc.
[Please note that filing deadlines in many parts of the country take place in June. Pastors who don’t feel called to run are requested to recruit a member of their congregation.]
Gideons and Rahabs are now moving toward the civil government frontline. “It will require courage, fortitude and unwavering biblical faithfulness to rouse the church again to her mission in a generation that has lost its way in idolatry, and where a many prophet and priest have said ‘peace peace, when there is no peace’ (Jeremiah 6:14).” [8]

Judges 7:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.

No man who knows the depths of his own weakness would dare to appear before the ineffable Presence with nothing to recommend him but his own character; nor would any Christian, wise after the discipline of failures and imperfections, want his acceptance with God to depend upon any degree of holiness to which he might have attained through the operation of inward grace.  -A.W. Remembering Barbara Bush…

Sorry folks, I do not have the warm fuzzies when I ponder upon the Bush family, legacy and Christian faith.  The only words I heard about Barbara Bush in the spiritual realm were that “she had a strong belief in the afterlife.”  I have never heard anyone in the extended Bush household refer to THE Author of salvation, Jesus Christ.  Read James 2:19 New King James Version (NKJV):
“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”

The eulogy for this First Lady was dotted with words like iconic, public servant, matriarch and patriotic.  Conspicuously absent was any reference to a Christian woman.  In my opinion, the highest praise that can be lauded on any woman is the following:  Proverbs 31:30 English Standard Version (ESV)
“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Barbara Bush was given the familiar accolades that we have grown accustomed to, after her passing, but the fact of the matter is that “good people never go to heaven.”  Why is this?  Because we are all sinners:  Romans 3:23 King James Version (KJV)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…”  Romans 3:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
“As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one…”

Here is the key to salvation:  Hebrews 9:22 King James Version (KJV)
“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (of sins).”

Prescott Bush, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, are all globalists who seek the New World Order (NWO), and the so called Two State Solution, whereas Israel would forfeit the little land she has.  Christians would never do such a thing because we believe Genesis 12:3-

Genesis 12:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

“I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Amazingly, the crude and sometimes bombastic Donald Trump seems to understand the need to support Israel better than the “refined” Bush family.  Trump’s support of Israel may prolong the longevity of the United States of America!  This gives real meaning to the old adage:  “We will be surprised by who we do see in heaven and by who we do not see in heaven.”  Amen and amen.

If you do some research, you will find that Prescott Bush supported the Nazi Party in Germany, prior to the United States entering World War II, and George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush were members of the Skull and Bones Society at Yale University.  George H.W. Bush’s nickname was “Magog.”  Enough said…

We Christians should never judge another, as far as where one spends eternity.  But given the lack of evidence of understanding that salvation is “by grace through faith,” and the lack of even the mere mention of the name of Jesus Christ, does not give us a good feeling about where one will spend eternity.  Patriotism and love of country will not enable one to go to heaven.  One must be born from above and place their faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 King James Version (KJV)
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Salvation Comes Solely through the blood of Christ, Do Not Leave Earth Without It!

Illinois lawmakers advance bill requiring schools to teach LGBT history

Illinois lawmakers advance bill requiring schools to teach LGBT history

Illinois state senators have advanced a bill that would require public schools to teach a unit on important LGBT individuals and history.
The Education committee endorsed the measure on Tuesday by an 8-2 vote, The Associated Press reported.
If the measure is enacted, Illinois would become the second state to require an inclusive LGBT curriculum.

Last year, California became the first state to use LGBT-inclusive history textbooks.

“People need to see their history to understand that they are a part of our society,” Illinois state Sen. Heather Steans (D) said after sponsoring the bill.
The proposal would mandate that elementary and high schools teach a unit studying “the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State.”
School boards would be allowed to determine how much instructional time is spent on the subject.
It would highlight the work of prominent figures who were LGBT, according to the AP report.
“People learn about Jane Addams, [the recognized founder of the social work profession in the United States], for example, but don’t know she’s a lesbian,” said Brian Johnson, CEO of the LGBT organization Equality Illinois. “We don’t think there is true justice for the LGBT community unless we can learn about our history.”
The bill is not too different from current laws that require students learn about other groups such as African-Americans, Hispanics and Asian-Americans.
Conservative groups have pushed back against the measure, calling for schools to add dissenting voices of people who oppose “the homosexual movement.”
“The left’s motive is what it always is: it is to normalize homosexuality,” said Laurie Higgins with the Illinois Family Institute, a Christian organization.
Johnson argued the legislation is meant to counteract the negativity LGBT students already face.
“We think all students are better off when we teach them the full breadth of history,” he said. “It makes them more likely to understand that a diverse cast has contributed to our society.”

I hope folks realize that the above paragraph equates the rights and equality of various racial and ethnic groups, to the acceptance of sexually perverted life styles!  This is totally convoluted logic!  Once this nation has left her Judeo Christian base, there is absolutely no end to the debauchery and abominations that are already here and on the horizon.  Home schooling and private Christian Schooling are no longer options!  I would rather live on a diet of beans and rice than subject our God given children and grandchildren to this abomination of a secular curriculum!  Blessings, Pastor Steve  <><

Rick Warren Addresses Jesus Christ As Isa: NOT the Son Of God, But A Muslim Prophet

Pastor Rick Warren’s Prayer at Barack Obama’s first inauguration

The down sized generic, universal, one size fits all Jesus promoted by Rick Warren, is meant to please everyone.  Since we had a two term Muslim president, Warren thought it was chic to share the Islamic view of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – Isa, a mere prophet.  (Listen to him pray to the Muslim false prophet at 4:01-4:02 of this video).  I need to know nothing more about Rick Warren.  Jesus asked the apostles:  “Who do you say that I am?  Peter spoke for the group and responded:  “Though art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”  Matthew 16:13,16.  Following is an appropriate quotation for Rick Warren and this occasion:

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”  -Author Unknown

God Will Not Allow You To Be Tempted Beyond What You Can Bear

Our Daily Bread

God of the Ordinary

Read: Genesis 12:1–4; 17:1–2

He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Hearing testimonies about how God did something spectacular in someone else’s life can challenge us. While we may rejoice to hear about answers to prayer, we may also wonder why God hasn’t done anything amazing for us lately.

It’s easy to think that if God showed up in astonishing ways for us like He did for Abraham, then we would be more inspired to be faithful servants of God. But then we remember that God showed up for Abraham every 12 to 14 years, and most of Abraham’s journey was rather ordinary (see Gen. 12:1–4; 15:1–6; 16:16–17:12).

God’s work is usually done behind the scenes in the ordinary things of life. As 1 Corinthians 10 says, “He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out.” Every day God is busy shielding us from devastating onslaughts of Satan that would otherwise leave us helplessly defeated. And when temptation hits, He is making exit ramps for us so we can escape.

When we put our head on the pillow at night, we should pause to thank God for the amazing things He has done for us that day in the midst of our ordinary lives. So, instead of longing for Him to do something spectacular for you, thank Him! He already has. Joe Stowell

Lord, help me to be constantly aware that Your power and presence are with me even in the ordinary times in my life. Thank You for Your amazing work on my behalf that I know nothing about.

God is always in control behind the scenes, even on “ordinary” days.
