What’s So Good About Good Friday?

Good Friday, a most sacred day, commemorated by Christians throughout the world, preceding the joyous celebration of Resurrection Sunday—unfortunately, oft referred to as Easter Sunday. This celebrated day marks the moment when Jesus, the Word made flesh (John 1:14), our Savior and God (John 1:1), offered Himself as the ultimate sacrifice upon the cross, that humanity might be redeemed.

Jesus, the Son of God, walked among His creation, drawing multitudes to pick up their cross and follow Him, embrace His healing compassion, and receive His mercy and grace. Yet among these many followers, a select few, the disciples, were His most trusted confidants, save for Judas Iscariot, the betrayer.

Though Jesus’ disciples walked with Him, they did not fully grasp the divine plan until it was fulfilled. On the eve of that fateful Friday, Jesus gathered His disciples for the Last Supper. He instituted the Lord’s Supper, declaring, “Do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19). It was then that Jesus foretold the treachery of one among them, the disciple named Judas.

As the sun rose on Good Friday, Judas, driven by greed and darkness, betrayed Jesus with a deceptive kiss, delivering Him into the hands of the chief priests and elders (Matthew 26:47-56). Thus began a series of trials, where Jesus was judged by Annas and Caiaphas, and ultimately condemned by His own people for the crime of blasphemy. The Roman government, at the behest of these religious leaders, would carry out the death sentence.

Jesus, innocent and blameless, was presented before Pontius Pilate, who then sent Him to King Herod. Herod, in a cruel display of mockery, adorned Jesus in splendid garments (Luke 23:11) before returning Him to Pilate.

Herod questioned Jesus, hoping to witness some miraculous sign, but Jesus remained silent. In a display of mockery, Herod and his soldiers dressed Jesus in splendid clothing and then sent Him back to Pilate (Luke 23:6-11). Ultimately, it was Pilate who sentenced Jesus to crucifixion, succumbing to the pressure of the Jewish leaders and the angry mob demanding Jesus’ death.

Pilate, unable to find any guilt in Jesus, sought to appease the enraged crowd. In accordance with Jewish custom, he presented a choice between Jesus and Barabbas, a notorious prisoner, hoping the crowd would opt for Jesus’ release given the criminal reputation of Barabbas. However, the crowd ultimately chose to set Barabbas free, showcasing an early example of Jesus’ divine exchange—serving as a sinless substitute for a hardened criminal.

Thus, the Savior was condemned to bear the weight of His own cross upon the path to Golgotha, where He would be nailed to the cruel instrument of torture. There, He was taunted and abused by those who bore witness, until with His final breath, He declared, “It is finished.”

But what, one might ask, could make this heart-wrenching day so good?

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life (John 3:14-15). The profound doctrines of Imputed Righteousness and Penal Substitution illuminate the true glory of Good Friday.

Imputed Righteousness, a cornerstone of the Christian faith, particularly among Protestants, proclaims that the perfect, sinless righteousness of Jesus is granted to those who believe in Him. For through His divine sacrifice, He accomplished what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do (Romans 8:3-4).

However, to bestow His righteousness upon us, Jesus took upon Himself the weight of our sins. This is the essence of Penal Substitution, whereby Jesus, sinless and pure, bore the full measure of our transgressions upon the cross. God the Father unleashed His righteous judgment, His wrath, upon His beloved Son, Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Thus, on this darkest of days, when a three-hour shadow engulfed the land, the brilliance of God’s love for His people shone forth. It was the day of the great exchange: the death of Jesus for the eternal life of those who believe. It was the day when the guilt of sin was lifted from the shoulders of the faithful, and in a divine exchange, God declared His people righteous before Him. This monumental day heralded the triumph of Jesus over sin and death, ensuring the salvation of countless souls.

As Jesus hung upon the cross, He knew the purpose of His suffering was nearing completion. Embodying the Scriptures, He expressed His thirst, and they gave Him sour wine upon a hyssop branch (John 19:28-29). Having received the bitter draught, Jesus proclaimed, “It is finished,” and surrendered His spirit to the Father (John 19:30).

And so, Good Friday stands as a beacon of hope, a testament to God’s infinite mercy and boundless love for His people. Through the suffering and death of our sinless Savior, the chains of sin were shattered, and the doors to eternal life flung wide open.

In this divine act, the faithful are reminded of the power of redemption and the transformative nature of God’s grace. The darkest day in the history of Christianity was, in truth, the dawning of an era of light and life for those who would come to believe in Jesus Christ, the risen Lord and Savior.

In the sorrowful commemoration of Good Friday, let us not forget the triumphant message it bears: our God, in His infinite wisdom and love, offered His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sins, that we might be reconciled to Him and inherit the gift of eternal life. Through the blood of the Lamb, we are cleansed, renewed, and redeemed, and in His resurrection, we find our victory over sin and death.

Therefore, let us rejoice and give thanks, for in the midst of darkness and despair, Good Friday is indeed a day of incomparable goodness, shining forth the radiant love of our God and the promise of eternal life in His glorious presence.

After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. —John 19:28-30

Hulk Hogan Gets Baptized, “Total Surrender and Dedication to Jesus”

I love it when worldly VIP’s become saved. The scripture cited below reminds us that it is not a common occurrence. May the Lord bless Hulk Hogan’s growth in discipleship. The Lord placed him in a unique arena to be a great witness for Jesus Christ.Check out the big guy’s testimony! Because of Him, Pastor Steve <><

I Corinthians 1:26-27(KJV)

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, …

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 The Message (MSG)

Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.”

Hulk Hogan Gets Baptized, “Total Surrender and Dedication to Jesus”

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was recently baptized at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida, an event he described as “the greatest day of my life.” His wife, Sky Daily Hogan, also participated in the baptism. Hogan, known for his extensive and storied wrestling career, expressed his renewed dedication to his Christian faith, stating, “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life.” This baptism follows their marriage a few months earlier and reflects Hogan’s long-standing connection to Christianity.

Hogan, a legendary figure in professional wrestling, has had a significant religious journey that intertwines with his career and personal life. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, has publicly expressed his Christian faith on several occasions.

Hogan claims he first accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 14. This early acceptance of faith played a vital role in shaping his perspectives and life decisions. Despite the challenges and the high-profile nature of his career, Hogan maintained a connection with his faith throughout his life. In recent years, he has increasingly focused on his religious beliefs, culminating in a baptism ceremony at the age of 70, alongside his wife, Sky Daily Hogan. This event was a public declaration of his faith and commitment to a life of purity and love.

Silent Witness

Mary, the mother of Jesus, was told the following about the life of her amazing Son:

Luke 2:35 “…and a sword will pierce your own soul—to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.” (NASB)

Jesus was born to die for our sins. The cradle leads to the cross, and the cross leads to the crown. That is a great three point Christmas sermon, eh? (Cradle / Cross / Crown). Perhaps I can add a crown to this display next year. I thank our good friends Earl and Sharon Goodwyne for constructing this cross and installing it on our premises this year prior to Easter. What a gift and what a year round witness, with emphasis on Easter and Christmas. It is a silent witness to all who drive by, and of course it is our prayer that it would touch folks for eternity. What Exactly is Saving Faith and How do We Know We Have It?

Nothing is more important than our salvation! Nothing on this blog site is more important than this article. Salvation, don’t leave earth without it!!! In Christ, Pastor Steve <><

March 7, 2023 Jeff Maples

As Christians living in a world that is hostile to God, we face a barrage of challenges to our faith every day. These attacks come in the form of anti-Creation propaganda, such as evolution and theories about the origins of the universe, as well as an all-out assault on Christian morals and values. It is not uncommon for these spiritual attacks to cause us to doubt our own faith and feel fear.

Many modern Christian churches have neglected the crucial role of biblical apologetics which provides a solid foundation for defending the Christian faith. A strong apologetic approach begins with the recognition that the Word of God is the ultimate authority and uses it to interpret the world around us. However, too many churches have adopted the dangerous idea that we should interpret Scripture through our own limited human reasoning rather than using Scripture to interpret the world. This approach is flawed and undermines the authority of God’s Word—and it often leads to doubt.

It is with this understanding that we approach the doctrine of faith and understand what it means to have a saving faith in the midst of a world that hates God. In the New Testament, faith is defined as a strong and confident belief in God, his promises, and his Son, Jesus Christ. The Greek word for faith, “pistis,” is used throughout the New Testament to describe this kind of belief.

The biblical understanding of faith consists of three elements:

  1. Notitia: This is the knowledge or information aspect of faith. It refers to a person’s understanding and knowledge of the Gospel message, particularly the fact that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ. In other words, you’ve heard the truth, or you’ve heard about the truth, but not necessarily given any thought to the veracity of the claims.
  2. Assensus: This is the intellectual or cognitive aspect of faith. It involves assenting to the truthfulness of the Gospel message, based on the knowledge and understanding of it. Assensus means acknowledging the truth of the Gospel and accepting it as true but not necessarily having placed your trust in it.
  3. Fiducia: This is the personal or volitional aspect of faith. Fiducia involves a personal trust and reliance on Jesus Christ for salvation. It is the act of placing one’s faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, entrusting one’s eternal destiny to Him.

Fiducia is the most important aspect of saving faith and since this is where most professing Christians fall short, this is where we will spend our time. At its core, Fiducia is the means by which we receive the free gift of salvation that is offered to us through Jesus Christ

First and foremost, having a saving faith consists of all three of these elements and it is the belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ and it is the understanding and acceptance of the message that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. But it is far more than just an intellectual acceptance of the facts. Saving faith is a personal response to the truth of the gospel, a recognition that our sin has separated us from God, and a repentant heart that is turned toward Christ upon whom we place our full trust in Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

Fiducia is the most essential component of saving faith because it is the active trust that we place in Jesus Christ. This is the element of saving faith that only God can grant us. Ephesians 2:8-9 explains that it is “by grace that we have been saved through faith” and that even that is not of ourselves, but a “gift of God.” There is no amount of intellectual assent we can give to the gospel that will change our hearts and cause God to save us—it must be wholly a work of God Himself.

When we truly believe in Jesus, we are not just acknowledging that he exists or that he did certain things in history, including dying on the cross. We are actively entrusting our lives to him, surrendering our wills and our hearts to his lordship. This trust is far more than just a mere one-time decision; it is an ongoing relationship granted and maintained by Christ Himself that deepens and grows over time.

In Scripture, we see many examples of Fiducia in action of which Abraham’s faith is arguably one of the most important and well-known. When God called Abraham to leave his home and go to a new land, Abraham responded in faith, trusting in God’s promise to bless him and make him into a great nation. Despite his own intellectual doubts and questioning, this trust was not just a passive belief in God’s existence or goodness, but an active obedience to God’s call on his life. As James 2:22-23 says, “You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, ‘Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.’”

Similarly, we see Paul arguing that it was the gospel itself that Abraham heard and believed in Galatians 3:8, “And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.’”

Knowing that it is the gospel itself, the Word of God, that is the power unto salvation (Romans 1:16), we must see that it is the gospel itself that grants saving faith. It is God’s word that transforms us, causing us to believe by removing our hearts of stone and giving us a new heart of flesh.

We also see an example of saving faith played out in the story of the woman with the issue of blood. In this often overlooked but powerful passage from the Gospel of Luke 8:40-56, we witness a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years and had exhausted all her resources on doctors, yet still remained unhealed. However, upon hearing Jesus, her faith in Jesus was unwavering, and she reached out to touch the fringe of his garment, and at that moment, she was immediately healed.

Some may argue that it was the woman who came to Christ before Christ even knew who she was, but this misses the point and fails to understand the work of the Trinity in salvation. Had she not already had a saving faith, she would have never reached out to touch Christ’s garments. Her faith was not just a mental acknowledgment of who Jesus was; it was an active trust in his power to heal and save. Jesus himself affirmed her faith, saying, “Daughter, your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:34).

So how do we know we have this saving faith, this faith that goes beyond an intellectual assent or general knowledge? The Scriptures tell us first and foremost to trust in the promise of Christ. But there are evidences we can point to as well. A saving faith leads to a transformed life. When we trust in Jesus, we are not just saved from the penalty of our sins, but we are also given new life in Christ.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul reminds us that being in Christ means becoming a new creation. Our old self passes away, and we embrace a new way of living that is devoted to God and his commands. This transformation is made possible through sanctification, which leads us to despise not only the sins of others but also our own. We begin to love what God loves and hate what he hates, although our love and hate will not be perfect. As we put our trust in Christ and follow him, we receive the Holy Spirit’s power to live a life that pleases God and bears fruit for his kingdom.

Having a saving faith empowers us to face the onslaught of hostility toward God, toward our beliefs, our values, and our convictions with confidence. The world will hate us for believing what seems foolish to a lost and dying population (1 Corinthians 1:18), but Jesus reminds us that if they hate us, it’s because they hated Him first (John 15:18). If you still find yourself attracted to the fleeting pleasures of sin and feel no remorse for your wrongdoing, or if you do not find the world’s hostility towards God repulsive, it is likely that you do not possess saving faith.

How to Know God and Have Eternal Life in Jesus Christ

1. THE BIBLE DECLARES ALL HAVE SINNED. SIN IS THE BREAKING OF GOD’S LAW

  • “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
  • “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9
  • “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6

2. THE BIBLE DECLARES SIN’S PENALTY BECAUSE OF WHOSE LAW WAS BROKEN

  • “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
  • “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Revelation 20:14

3. THE BIBLE DECLARES THAT GOD, THE LAWGIVER HIMSELF, PAID THE PENALTY FOR SIN IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.

  • “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
    Romans 5:8-11
  • “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,”
    1 Peter 3:18

4. THE BIBLE DECLARES WE MUST REPENT

  • “For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death”
    2 Corinthians 7:10
  • “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:7

If we are truly sorry for our sins and willingly turn from anything except Jesus for our acceptance with the Father, God will save us.

5. THE BIBLE DECLARES SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT

  • “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
  • Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.” Galatians 3:11
  • “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,” Titu3:5

6. THE BIBLE DECLARES WE MUST RECEIVE CHRIST

  • “And Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6
  • “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
    Acts of the Apostles 4:12
  • “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
    John 1:12

We need to exercise our faith by receiving Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Faith and repentance are both necessary for salvation and both are his gift.

7. THE BIBLE DECLARES YOU CAN BE SAVED TODAY, IF YOU WANT TO BE

  • “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
  • “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
  • God’s love, mercy and grace have provided reconciliation with Himself so that His people may experience peace and eternity in heaven with Him.

The bible is God’s written Word. God miraculously worked through men that they would write, yet as themselves, exactly what He wanted them to.  We pray that after reading these six thoughts from God’s Word that you believe the message God has given us. He gives us free pardon of sin and new life in His Son who bought it for us through His sinless life, death and resurrection from the dead. A “know-so” salvation.

You don’t have to hope that God will save you if you try hard enough and don’t mess up too badly and hope that someday you will avoid His judgement in an eternal hell and go to be with Him in Heaven. The Bible says in 1 John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” God accepts nothing other or more than the sacrificial death of His own Son for our right standing before Him. Anything else is to claim that He sent His son for nothing.

Do you know where you’re going when you die?

YOUR RESPONSE:

  • Admit your guilt (I am a sinner).
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross and rose from the dead to give you His life.
  • Be willing to turn from your sin (repent).
  • Tell God the Father in your own words that you trust Jesus Christ alone as your righteousness before Him and that you surrender your heart and life as you receive Christ as Savior and recognize Him as Lord.
  • God will honor His promises and raise you from death in sin to new and everlasting life as a new creature in Christ.
  • If you need help, contact me and I will help you find a solid bible believing church that will walk with you in your new journey as a child of God and disciple of Jesus Christ

3 Signs You Are Going to Hell (This May Shock You)

Reformation Charlotte Aug 5

I’m sending this out to everyone on my list because I think this is an excellent presentation of the gospel. News and commentary is one thing, but the gospel is not for sale.

I ran across this video from John Kirby and it really hit home with me just how many people who think they’re right with God actually aren’t.

Churchgoers tormented in Hell because of this, 3 signs you’re going to Hell and why you might not be saved even though you read the Bible and go to church.

Share this with your friends and family who are lost…and have a great weekend!

Great video! People who love the world, believe they are good in themselves, and have absolutely no fruit in their lives, may not be saved. What does the Bible say?

2 Corinthians 13:5 English Standard Version

“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”

We are not to judge each other (Matthew 7:1-2) but we can be fruit inspectors. We know true believers by their fruit

Matthew 7:20 New King James Version

“Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”

Salvation In A Nutshell

 November 24, 2020
Leaning on the Word
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son….These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:11, 13)

Our salvation does not find its basis in an emotional experience of the heart, although our emotional tendencies are God-given and not to be denied. Indeed, the salvation experience may be sweet and memorable, but all sorts of religions, non-religions, and cults have emotional experiences, like the Mormon’s “burning of the bosom.” But experiences alone are subjective and easily misinterpreted. Our faith should be a faith from the heart, and it should be founded on the written Word of God. The third verse of our hymn, “My Faith Has Found a Resting Place,” presents this timeless truth.

My heart is leaning on the Word, the written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name, Salvation thru’ His blood.
I need no other argument, I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died, And that He died for me.

The Bible, God’s holy Word, is a book about Jesus and how God, through Jesus, deals with man. Much more could have been written: “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31). “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). We were redeemed “with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:19).

And this is sufficient! Nothing else needs to be done or said or paid! Christ’s blood is enough! His Word tells us so. JDM

The country of El Salvador has honored Jesus by placing a sculpture of Him in the center of its capital city. Although the monument resides in the middle of a busy traffic circle, its height makes it easy to see, and its name—The Divine Savior of the World—communicates reverence for His supernatural status. The monument’s name affirms what the Bible says about Jesus (1 John 4:14). He’s the One who offers salvation to everyone. Christ crosses cultural boundaries and accepts any sincere person who wants to know Him, regardless of age, education, ethnicity, past sin, or social status. The apostle Paul traveled the ancient world telling people about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. He shared this good news with political and religious authorities, soldiers, Jews, gentiles, men, women, and children. Paul explained that a person could begin a relationship with Christ by declaring “Jesus is Lord” and believing that God had indeed raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He said, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame. . . . Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (vv. 11, 13).Jesus isn’t a distant image to be honored; we must have a person-to-person connection with Him through faith. May we see the value of the salvation He offers and move forward into a spiritual relationship with Him today. By Jennifer Benson Schuldt

SCRIPTURE INSIGHT In Romans 10:5-15, Paul cites multiple references from the Law (the first five books of Scripture). But in verses 11 and 13, he quotes from Isaiah 28:16 and Joel 2:32. When he cites Isaiah, he quotes the Septuagint—the Greek translation of the Scriptures. This is why the quotations don’t match precisely: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame” (Romans 10:11) and “the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic” (Isaiah 28:16). In quoting Joel, Paul uses the Old Testament term Yahweh (Lord) and applies it to Jesus. Paul is clearly teaching his readers that Christ is Lord. Tim Gustafson

Wonder Years Star, Danica McKellar, Says She’s Now a Christian After Candace Cameron Sent Her a Bible

Listen to this simple, fresh, and vibrant testimony of salvation from a TV star. She seems to have salvation indeed! Blessings, Pastor Steve <><

You may remember Danica McKellar as Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years, the late 80s and early 90s hit television series. McKellar, who recently posted about her “conversion” experience on Instagram, said that “In my life, starting in childhood, I had been made aware of all the hypocrisy in the various religions of Christianity, it being used for evil, power & control throughout history, and that had definitely biased me.”

history, and that had definitely biased me.”

“But that’s just people,” McKellar, who recently attended a gay wedding continued, “that doesn’t represent God’s actual love for us.”

McKellar said that she is “experiencing a relationship with God and Jesus that I’ve never had before, and it feels miraculous.”

McKellar says her conversion experience began when she was struggling with forgiveness and asked her friend and Full House star, Candace Cameron Bure, to explain a Bible verse to her. It was then that Bure sent her a Bible, invited her to church, and it all went from there.

  • cvarnado11I love this so much!!! Keep growing! Don’t stop! We have a seminary here in New Orleans you should look into! The Truth of God’s Word is in scripture – all the answers to anything you need to know! Follow Priscilla Shirer and Tony Evans! They preach the truth. As far as forgiveness: We forgive because Christ forgives! What if the Lord didn’t forgive us…..
We are intentional to give grace, mercy and forgiveness because God calls us to.
Stop hurting because of what someone else did to you.
Write down all the things you are holding on to – and burn it 🔥 Father forgive them for they know not what they do…. As far as the Holy Spirit – it’s the spirit of Christ that lives in you when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is what God gives us to guide our thoughts and actions to be convicted when doing wrong . And so much more. He gives us direct access through the spirit to pray and talk to Jesus. Watch the movie War room. Be faithful in prayer and see how Jesus shows up in your life!!! It’s incredible! 🙌😍🙏
  • michelle_e_5This is the best thing I’ve heard today! ❤️
  • darlynnhobbyWelcome to the family…you are a precious child of God. God loves you-Jesus rescued you-The Holy Spirit helps you ❤🙏
  • itsdeborahloveYou’re amazing and I love you 😭😭 you’re my sister in Christ and I’m screaming from the mountains. One thing I will say as you grow in your own walk with God is to not get frustrated and down on yourself at first when you don’t understand something. Just like babies drink baby milk at first and then can eat food and then meat, that’s what you will experience. You will get a great foundation and then God will build with you from there 🙂 I can’t wait for you to know more of the mysteries of God because there is a lot to know and even then we will not know everything. That’s just how big our God is ♥️ This is the best decision you will ever make 🙂 welcome to the family @danicamckellar ♥️♥️
  • joyful_grannyYou radiate Gods peace all over your face. I’m so excited to see what he does with your life. You will look back at this video one day and smile with precious memories of when you said yes to making him yours. “I’m my beloved and he is mine” Song of Solomon 6:3 ❤️ 👏🥰
  • ritaslovesYes, until it happens to You, your finite mind can’t comprehend the awesomeness of God and how He loves us and transforms us! I fell in love with Jesus over 40 years ago and it wrecked me!! The Holy Spirit’s voice communicates with our spirit what God the Father and Jesus’s will is in our lives. For me, it was like Mr Clean came in and turned my life upside down… I didn’t want to do things I did before and I knew I could never live like that for God on my own…but the cool thing is; Jesus gives us the power to live for Him! Everything comes from God…even the enabling power to live for Him!!! I say it’s the best kept secret! And yes, very freeing. The joy and the peace Jesus offers and freely gives us is so much more than anything temporal this world would try to give us! I’m sold out and a believer for sure! So happy you found this amazing love that Jesus gives!♥️ Love all your work and can’t wait to see you and Candace on GAC! We just started streaming and we are adding that line up just for that! God bless you and strengthen you as you embark on this amazing journey that doesn’t end here! I have a little group on Facebook @committeddailydevotioners and I do post here occasionally. Feel free to reach out anytime! I, like you so enjoy sharing things to help others! Love you and thanks for sharing your journey with all of us!!❣️💯😍
  • lennie_starsWelcome to God’s family, Danika! Praise God, He is moving in our world, and expanding His kingdom. Your heart, mind and life will be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, our guide, comforter, and power which lights our way and empowers our walk with Jesus. On fire for the Lord is the BEST place to be! You will never again feel alone, unloved, or unseen. Forgiveness is a freedom no one knows until you’ve been forgiven by our Heavenly Father, and thru Jesus’ sacrifice. Hallelujah!❤️🙏🏽

Remembering Tim Keller’s Democrat-friendly Tweets About Abortion

by Publisher | May 5, 2022

Over the years, I’ve observed a number of Evangelical “thought-leaders” publish their musings about social issues while contending that both progressivism and conservatism are equally valid ways to express one’s Christian faith and that true biblical faith lies…

The Trinity in Salvation

May 2, 2022
The Trinity in Salvation
“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:14)

There are a number of significant references to the work of all three Persons of the Trinity in the great work of salvation. Note the implicit reference to the Trinity in our text: “The blood of Christ…through the eternal Spirit offered…to God.” There is also a beautiful Trinitarian implication in Ephesians 2:18: “For through [Christ] we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”

The promise of Christ to send the Holy Spirit is a high point of the gospel of John. “I will pray the Father,” said the Lord Jesus, “and he shall give you another Comforter” (Greek parakletos, meaning “one called alongside”), “that he may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16). “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things” (John 14:26). “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me” (John 15:26).

It seems very clear from such Scriptures that all three—Father, Son, Holy Spirit—are each distinct persons. Yet that the three together are one God is also clear from the fact that they are identified by name as One. Converts are to be baptized “in the name [note the singular—one name] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19). Note also the benediction formula. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14). What we cannot fully understand in our minds of this wonderful triune Godhead, we can understand and believe with our hearts. HMM

I John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
