I have quite a few other names I could call him like turncoat, grandstander, narcissist, compromising Clinton sycophant, lukewarm, doormat, wishy-washy, weak and anemic enabler of the Clinton machine, insipid, destroyer of the former great and reputable FBI, etc., etc., etc.  …But I won’t call him a weasel even though he is one.

FBI Director James Comey, speaking at a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, defended his decision not to recommend the DOJ prosecute Hillary Clinton, and pleaded with lawmakers not to call him a “weasel.”

“You can call us wrong, but don’t call us weasels. We are not weasels,” weaselled Comey, who at six foot eight inches tall is hands down the biggest weasel in American politics right now.

Business Highlights:

1)Golden Gate Seminary in San Francisco underwent a name change to Gateway Seminary.

2)Women should not be drafted.  Women may enlist in the armed forces.  That decision is entirely up to each individual.

3)Southern Baptists voted to NOT endorse the displaying of the Confederate Flag.  It offends some of our black brethren and others.  Retired Judge Paul Pressler from Texas who always comes to the Southern Baptist Convention, wanted to address this issue.  He was not afforded the opportunity to speak and as a result, he was very angry.  James Merritt won the moment with the following quotation that rang with clarity to all who heard it:

“All the Confederate Flags in the world are not worth one soul of any race.”

4)The Southern Baptist Convention voted to support Israel.  A vocal minority who believed in “replacement theology,” expressed their viewpoint that Israel is no more special in God’s eyes than any other country.  [Replacement Theology is a view held by a minority of evangelicals.  They believe that God is finished with using the nation of Israel in His plan, and that the Lord only works through the church now.  A thorough exegesis of the scriptures and end times prophecy reveals this viewpoint to be false].  Their spokesman even claimed he was an orthodox Jew from Israel.  Nonetheless, the SBC voted overwhelmingly to support Israel.

5)There should be a sensitivity given to Gays and the LGBT, yet it is vitally important that they acknowledge their sin, prayerfully leading to their repentance.

6)Several budget items were presented from the SBC Executive Committee, and “rubber stamped” by the messengers who came to the convention.  There were 7,321 registered messengers at the 2016 convention.

7)Seminary Update:  “Out of the ten largest seminaries in America, six of them are Southern Baptist.”  Paige Patterson  Another interesting fact is that Conservative Seminaries are thriving, while secular Seminaries are dying.  Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) in Louisville, Kentucky, has over 5,000 students – the most pastoral students EVER in one school at one time.

Voting For The President Of The Southern Baptist Convention

The Three Candidates:

1)David Crosby from First Baptist Church of New Orleans, Louisiana, endorsed by Fred Luter.

2)Steve Gaines from Bellevue Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee, endorsed by Johnny Hunt.

3)J.D. Greer from Summit Church, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, endorsed by Jimmy Scoggins.

Presidential Vote:  After 2 votes, Steve Gaines was three votes short of the needed votes.  There was to be a third vote.  Greer conceded to Gaines, while Gaines later stated he was going to concede to Greer.  Steve Gaines was elected since he was a bit higher in the votes from the last vote.  It was a work of grace and unity for these candidates to concede to each other.  Steve Gaines is our new president.

J.D. Greer and Steve Gaines were an interesting contrast.  Steve Gaines represents a classic flagship SBC church, following Adrian Rogers as their pastor.  J.D. Greer is oriented towards the millenial generation, and incredibly, had a jihad declared on him while he was serving as a missionary overseas.  His picture was displayed before radical Islamics, and a death warrant was placed upon him.  That is why I voted for him.

When Marshall McLuhan coined the phrase “the medium is the message” in 1964, personal computers were unknown, mobile phones were science fiction, and the Internet didn’t exist. Today we understand what great foresight he had in predicting how our thinking is influenced in this digital age. In Nicholas Carr’s book The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains, he writes, “[The media] supply the stuff of thought, but they also shape the process of thought. And what the Net seems to be doing is chipping away my capacity for concentration and contemplation. Whether I’m online or not, my mind now expects to take in information the way the Net distributes it: in a swiftly moving stream of particles.”

I like J. B. Phillips’s paraphrase of Paul’s message to the Christians in Rome: “Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity” (Rom. 12:2). How relevant this is today as we find our thoughts and the way our minds process material affected by the world around us.

These converted returnees could have brought the gospel back home. Bring prayer back to the schools, but also bring it back to the church!  9/11/01  2996 people were killed, 6,000 were injured.  We need 1)prayer and a 2)great awakening.

How To Be Saved

It is imperative that the most important doctrine in all of Christendom is repeated frequently on this blog site, and that is the plan of salvation.  What good is it to learn a lot about the Bible if you are not saved/born again/and washed in the shed blood of Jesus Christ?  What good is it to you if you know the plan but not the Man?  It is one thing to know the plan of salvation… but then we must put feet on our faith.  We must repent from sin and trust in God’s only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, for salvation.  Listen to Billy Graham and Charles Stanley preach on this monumental doctrine:

A Christian Pastor Assesses Donald Trump

Open the following link for a character assessment of Donald Trump by a Christian pastor.  I agree with this pastor.  Donald has character flaws, yet is great on policy.  Is there something wrong with carefully screening immigrants in order for our nation NOT to be destroyed by people who do not concur with our way of life and freedoms?  Is there a problem with a desire to refuse illegal immigration?  While other leaders do not support our military veterans and law enforcement personnel, Donald does.  Is there a problem with creating and enhancing trade and jobs in our nation?  If we do not secure our borders, we will no longer be America.  The left wing media erroneously paints him as a racist, a fascist, a bigot, and an extremist, yet they never touch on his platform and policies.  I wonder why?  Pastor Steve

Eschatology 32 ~ Why I Believe In A Pre Tribulation Rapture

This verse highlights God’s ideals when judging Sodom and Gomorrah.  It highlights the hermeneutical Law  (Principle) of First Mention.  God NEVER changes.  “I am the Lord and I change not.”  “I am the same yesterday, today and forever.”  He separated believers from unbelievers, and the righteous from the unrighteous at every judgment: The Flood Of Noah, Sodom And Gomorrah, and Rahab At Jericho.  The Tribulation Period will feature millions, and even billions of people of dying, as the Lord treads the wine press and unleashes His fury on a Christ rejecting world.  God’s word says “My judgment will be without mercy.”  Many Christians underestimate the fury that will be unleashed during the Great Tribulation.  The Bible calls it the period of Jacob’s trouble.  All hell will break loose on the planet earth, during this apocalyptic judgment.  If I would not wish this on my worst enemy (and I would not), then tell me why the Lord would break His own covenant of love and redemption for the body of Christ?  It simply does not add up.  This blog site has many scriptures that validate a Pre Tribulation rapture of the church; here is yet another:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.—James 1:2

Fire can be one of the worst enemies of trees. But it can also be helpful. Experts say that small, frequent fires called “cool” fires clean the forest floor of dead leaves and branches but don’t destroy the trees. They leave behind ashes, which are perfect for seeds to grow in. Surprisingly, low-intensity fires are necessary for healthy growth of trees.

Similarly, trials—pictured as fire in the Bible—are necessary for our spiritual health and growth (1 Peter 1:7; 4:12). James wrote, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-4).

It is in the season of trial that God’s purposes are often realized, for there the conditions are right for us to grow into spiritual maturity. This growth not only equips us for living, but it also enables us to more accurately reflect Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him.

In the hands of our Father, our trials can achieve His purposes for our good and for His honor. They can shape us into the likeness of His Son. —Bill Crowder

 INSIGHT: James, the half-brother of Jesus, believed that Christ was the Messiah after witnessing His resurrection from the dead. James led the early church as a “Messianic Jew,” a term referring to someone who has been reared in the traditions of Judaism and who acknowledges Jesus as the Messiah. In today’s reading, James says that a positive attitude toward trials—“consider it pure joy . . . whenever you face trials of many kinds” (1:2)—is central to the Christian life. Trials are beneficial because they produce positive character change through the power of God.

Putin Warns Trump ‘New World Order Out To Get You’

Trump has no allegiance to the KGB, Vladimir Putin and dirty Kremlin politics, yet it appears that Putin and Trump have found political glue in their mutual antipathy of the New World Order.  Every president following Ronald Reagan in the United States has been a supporter of the New World Order.  Hillary Clinton is their next choice and they will do all they can to place her in the Oval Office.  I believe the Clinton Foundation probably has cash that came laundered through the NWO.

Putin Warns Trump ‘New World Order Out To Get You’

Brave Vladimir Putin has delivered a scathing attack on the New World Order and warned Donald Trump that the ‘secret cabal’ have him ‘in their crosshairs.’

‘There is a secret cabal above the elected rulers of your country, they have very clear goals for the next couple of years…They do not want you to be President, and they are conspiring against you.‘

President Putin hasn’t endorsed Trump, but any enemy of the New World Order is a friend of the Russian President’s, and he had a few words of warning to share with Trump when they spoke on the phone on Friday.

Putin warned Trump to expect ‘dirty tricks like we’ve already seen, and much worse‘ according to a Kremlin source, warning him that elite members of the GOP, his own party, are currently plotting against him and will attempt to take away his nomination for the presidency.

‘The elites will do whatever it takes to stop you thwarting them,’ Putin said, according to sources, hinting at a possible assassination plot should Trump’s campaign continue gaining momentum.

 

 

It is understood that Putin said if the exit polls differed from the official results by so wide a margin in a Russian election, the Western media would be shouting about election fraud and corruption.

Asked about the presumptive Republican nominee for president while taking questions at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin again described Trump as a “flamboyant” or “colorful” man, using a Russian word – “яркий” – that can be translated in different ways, from gaudy to striking to dazzling.

“But here’s where I will pay close attention, and where I exactly welcome and where on the contrary I don’t see anything bad: Mr Trump has declared that he’s ready for the full restoration of Russian-American relations. Is there anything bad there? We all welcome this, don’t you?”

In an annual press conference with his countrymen last April, Putin expressed skepticism about the American electoral process, which he believes is corrupt – elite family clans taking turns occupying the White House. He also hinted how he personally saw Hillary Clinton.

‘First there was Bush senior in power, then Bush junior. [Bill] Clinton was [U.S. President] two times in a row, now his wife has ambitions. Again, the family might stay in power. As they say in Russia, a husband and a wife are the same Satan.’

Neither side of the political establishment want Trump anywhere near the White House. The mainstream media are vilifying him. In short, the sock puppets of the New World Order are united against him. They have a lot to lose if somebody who isn’t playing by their rules takes control.

It is not known if Putin received this information from Guccifer, the anti-Illuminati hacker who accessed Hillary Clinton’s emails, or whether the inside information came from another source. What is clear however is that Putin has been vocal about destroying the New World Order’s chokehold over global economics and geopolitics, and he is determined to see this through.

In Russia there is an old saying that roughly translates as ‘If you don’t understand the past, you won’t be able to understand the present, or shape the future.’ Putin lives by this saying. According to sources he has been studying the history of the New World Order so he can understand their plans and destroy the invasive organisation before its roots and branches spread too far and wide around the world and it becomes too late.
