If I Cannot Witness, It Is Only Because I Have No Witness (One cannot share what they do not have)

Although certain people have the gift of evangelism, EVERY Christian who is truly born from above (John 3:3) has a witness. Can you imagine watching a murder occur, and then being subpoenaed to court, you state that you did not witness the event? Ha! Ha! (ROFL) When you are “in Christ, old things pass away and all things become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17) Can you imagine God giving you a new heart, a new life, eternal life, a reason for living and a song to sing, and you have nothing to say? Ha! Ha! The only time that a Christian will not witness is when he/she quenches and grieves the Holy Spirit, and they will be miserable until they get right with God. Do you not know that your body is a temple that CONTAINS the Holy Spirit when you are saved? The Bible says for us to “be ye FILLED with the Holy Spirit, and walk in the Holy Spirit.” That itself is a witness. When you are saved, the Lord gives you a life long gift to be used and it is called a testimony, reciting the experiences that the Lord used in your life to save you! If you do not have a testimony then you are not His. In order to seal the deal when sharing your testimony, you simply let people know the Bible truths that we are ALL born into sin, we need to repent and turn from our trespasses and trust in God’s only begotten Son who died for our sins, and that through receiving Jesus in your heart by faith you can be saved! You put this in your own words but make sure all the main ingredients are there. It is NOT a program, it is a natural witness that flows from the heart when the Holy Spirit opens the door. By the way, the Bible also says that we shall know fellow believers by their fruits of the Holy Spirit. What are they? Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance and a whole lot more. If you and I are walking in the Spirit, we are already witnessing! Now, the sixty four dollar question: If people note that we are Spirit filled and they ask us why we are full of love and joyful, will we use this God given opportunity to share Christ? If we do not, I believe with all of my heart that we are guilty of a sin of omission. Here is a simplified version of the Roman Road to salvation, combined with the A,B,C’s of being saved:

A Accept the fact that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:10,23; 5:12)

B Believe that Christ died for your sins. (Romans 5:8; 6:23)

C Confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead and thou shalt be saved! (Romans 10:9-10)

    • The comment means that some professing Christians do not witness because they have not been saved, so they cannot witness. By default, every Christian truly born from above, has the witness in them! Very few in many churches have witnessed to anyone in the past year, or led anyone to an understanding of the Gospel/salvation.
