Former President, Jimmy Carter, Soon to Hear Dreaded Words from Jesus, “Depart From Me…”

Like the author of this article, Jeff Maples, I too have reservations about Jimmy Carter’s faith. Jimmy despised Adrian Rogers and others who boldly and unequivocally stood on the Word of God without apology. He appears to be a liberal Baptist, twisting the Truth to his own liking. Pastor Steve <><

According to reports, former President Jimmy Carter is approaching the end of his life, as shared by his grandson Jason Carter at the 28th Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum. Jason provided an update on the 99-year-old former president, who has been in hospice care for nearly a year and a half, stating, “He really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end, and I think he has been there in that space.”

As Carter spends his final days in his home in Plains, Georgia, his legacy and the implications of his lifelong advocacies come under renewed scrutiny.

Carter, who has often portrayed himself as a devout Christian, even a Southern Baptist Sunday School teacher at one time, has promoted policies and taken horrific views on key issues that could only be described as completely godless. While Carter has frequently invoked his faith in his public life, his unrelenting support for the LGBTQ movement and abortion, along with every other godless left-wing ideology under the sun, reveals a troubling state of his soul that should leave him in fear of the coming judgment.

Carter’s promotion of sexual immorality in our culture is one of the most glaring examples of his hatred of God. Despite the clear teachings of  Scripture regarding marriage and sexuality, Carter has championed the LGBTQ movement. In a 2015 interview with HuffPost Live, Carter asserted that Jesus would approve of same-sex marriage.

Even more grievously, Carter’s relentless advocacy for the death penalty for unborn children to be carried out on them for the crimes and sins of their parents demonstrates his hatred of the giver of life. As early as 1977, during his presidency, Carter supported federal funding for abortions in cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother. Over the years, he has maintained a position that allows for unfettered access to abortion, especially under various circumstances. By supporting abortion, Carter endorses a practice that ends innocent human lives, flagrantly violating the sanctity of life as ordained by God.

Carter’s advocacy for these positions has significantly impacted public policy and the broader cultural landscape. His support for LGBTQ rights and abortion has contributed to the normalization and legal recognition of these practices, having profound implications for religious freedom and the ability of Christians to live out their faith in the public square. As these issues become more entrenched in society, those who hold to  biblical principles face increasing pressure to conform to secular values.

Carter’s positions highlight a broader trend among those who claim the Christian faith yet embrace secular ideologies that conflict with  Scripture. This trend reflects a growing tendency to prioritize cultural relevance over  biblical fidelity, leading to a compromised witness in the public sphere. Carter’s example serves as a grave warning of the dangers of allowing personal or cultural preferences to supersede the authority of God’s Word.

In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus delivers a stern warning: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” Carter’s advocacy for godless ambitions such as LGBTQ rights and abortion aligns him with those who profess faith but deny its power and authority in their lives.

As Jimmy Carter nears the end of his earthly journey, we lament that he will soon likely hear these chilling words from our Lord. A truly saved person, being sanctified, cannot continue in abject rebellion against his Creator.  Scripture affirms that those who endure to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13). Carter’s legacy serves as a somber reminder of the need for unwavering commitment to  biblical truth and the perils of compromising with secular ideologies.

In these critical times, believers must remain steadfast in their commitment to God’s Word, upholding the sanctity of marriage and the value of human life. We must trust in the authority of  Scripture and reject any cultural trends that seek to undermine the foundations of our faith. Let us pray for true repentance and enduring faith, standing firm in the truth until the end.

ERLC’s Brent Leatherwood Confronted by Media For His Suppression of the Trans Shooter’s Motive at Christian School

Another of the myriad of reasons that our church left the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Leader after leader are afraid to boldly stand on the Word and confront the apostasy of our times. Brent Leatherwood is all about job security, and as far as truth, the Word, and scripture, he has the backbone of a jellyfish. The video below, reveals Leatherwood to be a wolf in sheepskin. His demeanor is that of a secular CEO and does not represent the Christian faith in the least. He is concerned about his position and he is afraid of apostates, and cares not for the Lord’s truth. Personally, I could not stay with such a denomination and sleep soundly. In Christ, Pastor Steve <><

…instead be deadly to Leatherwood’s and the ERLC’s cause. After the release of the Nashville shooter’s manifesto yesterday, Leatherwood held a press briefing with arguably one of the most disingenuous displays of passion I’ve ever seen—it was borderline sociopathic.

Earlier this week, Leatherwood was confronted by Steven Crowder and his team after a court hearing as Leatherwood continues to push for a court order to keep any information regarding the motivation of this attack from the public. Leatherwood, like the weasel that he is, refuses to answer any questions and acts just like any leftist politician who is more concerned about his career than he is about the truth.

On March 27, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, which resulted in multiple fatalities. The attack was carried out by a transgender leftist who had written a “manifesto” which has currently been withheld due to public records requests made by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department as well as the activism of Southern Baptist Convention ERLC head, Brent Leatherwood.

Brent Leatherwood, head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s public policy arm, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), is calling on TN lawmakers to back a proposal by Governor Bill Lee for an extreme risk protective order law, also known as red flag laws. The proposal would allow the state to temporarily restrict gun purchases if the state deems one to be a danger to themselves or others, yet the criteria that would be used to make the determination remains unclear.

Brent Leatherwood, who is also a parent of three children at Covenant School where the shooting by a deranged transgender assailant took place, shared his experience of receiving a call that a shooter was at the school. In a series of tweets on April 3, he recounted how the trauma and memories of the tragedy would be with his family for the rest of their lives.

“We’ve become numb to these tragedies as a society,” Leatherwood wrote on Twitter. “Defenseless, innocent lives being taken. We should never accept this as a reality. We need to commit ourselves to finding an answer to this epidemic and not rest until it is solved. Count me as a solution seeker on this.”

Unsurprisingly, Leatherwood has exploited this tragedy and used his platform as a Southern Baptist leader in order to advance stricter anti-Second Amendment gun control laws. In a letter addressed to Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, House Speaker Cameron Sexton, and all members of the legislature, Leatherwood presented an appeal from both his personal experience and on behalf of the majority Southern Baptist sentiment, according to The Tennessean. He urged lawmakers to ensure that no school in Tennessee ever has to endure the same nightmare as the Covenant School tragedy again.

Leatherwood told the lawmakers that Southern Baptists make up one-fifth of the population of Tennessee and have repeatedly called for ways to reduce gun violence, a seemingly veiled threat by the former leader of the TN Republican Party that he may use his power of leadership over Southern Baptists to sway the vote. “Other voices are saying there is too little time left in this legislative session to consider such a proposal. Little credence should be given to that,” he said in the letter, according to the Tennessean.

In a report at the Epoch Times, it has been further revealed that Leatherwood had not only been advocating for stricter gun laws, but he’s also been working overtime to censor the manifesto written by the deranged transgender activist who killed innocent people on that day. While one would think that a conservative, Bible-believing Christian leader in his right mind could only think of a deranged, transvestite killer as an “unhinged activist,” instead, Leatherwood refers to those who are calling for transparency as such.

The following is from the Epoch Times:

Brent and Meredith Leatherwood, parents of three children who were present that day, echo Kinney in saying their current anguish comes from “unhinged activists, unthinking partisans, conspiracy theorists, and various media outlets that value clicks over their community.”

The Leatherwoods said their family had also received “hints” of threats of legal action in order to intimidate them from trying to stop the release of the records. Leatherwood, through his position with the Southern Baptist Convention, has called on stricter gun laws following the shooting.

In November 2023, copies of the shooter’s manifesto were released by Steven Crowder and his media team. Leatherwood proceeded to attack the media and others who had been pushing for the release.

Leatherwood, along with a minority coalition of other parents in the school, had been seeking every possible way to stop the release of the shooter’s written manifesto to the public, and had been successful in preventing the release for several months.

From the release of the manifesto, the Nashville shooter was revealed, as suspected, to be racially motivated in her attack. In fact, the manifesto clearly demonstrated a motive that was built upon the ideologies of Critical Race Theory and anti-white sentiment. Leatherwood, knowing this, had claimed that the release of the manifesto and the motive for this person’s attack was not important and would “re-victimize” the parents and students at the school.

However, in the 2019 El Paso shooting, the ERLC believed that the motive for the attack was important. But that attack was motivated by “white supremacy,” a narrative they had been pushing as a dangerous and deadly ideology.

But since the motive for the Nashville shooting went against the narrative of “white supremacy,” it became clear that the release of the information wouldn’t be deadly to others, but would instead be deadly to Leatherwood’s and the ERLC’s cause.

NY Rangers’ Decision To Yank Pride Jerseys Could Upend Sports’ Status Quo

Great things are happening in hockey and it has nothing to do with scoring goals. In Christ, Pastor Steve <><

Breaking News Updates – February 01, 2023

BY SUZANNE BOWDEY/WASHINGTON STAND FEBRUARY 01, 2023

On a normal night, a win for the New York Rangers would’ve dominated the local news. But Friday was no normal night.

For most of the sports world, the 4-1 score was barely a footnote to the biggest story of the day — the team’s unexpected decision to dump their Pride Night uniforms. In a last-minute change that sent shockwaves through the NHL, the Rangers decided to shelve their rainbow jerseys and tape, exposing the deep cracks that exist between players and the league’s woke agenda.

While the questions rain down about who’s responsible and how this could happen in a progressive paradise like New York City, the Rangers replied with a simple statement: “Our organization respects the LGBTQ+ community and we are proud to bring attention to important local community organizations as part of another great Pride Night. In keeping with our organization’s core values, we support everyone’s individual right to respectfully express their beliefs.”

Turns out, “individual beliefs” aren’t popular in the press, where columnists heaped hot coals on the team’s head for taking every player’s opinion into consideration. Sports Illustrated accused the Rangers of “bungling” Pride Night. The Athletics’ Steve Buckley wailed that the “retreat on Pride Night” would send a “somber message to younger, closeted players.” And the New York Post’s Mollie Walker accused the team of ruining “a beautiful celebration of inclusivity,” when, ironically, the Rangers just did the most inclusive thing yet.

While the Left rages in its echo chamber about this “slap in the face” to the LGBT community, it only shows how insatiable the mob can be. Not only did the Rangers drench the arena in Pride flags and colors, but it invited Broadway’s Michael James Scott (who identifies as gay) to sing the national anthem and brought the head of NY Pride on the ice for the ceremonial puck drop.

Every fan got a rainbow fanny pack, and Madison Square Garden’s outside panels all radiated red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, baby blue, and pink. More importantly, at least where true activists should be concerned, the team promised to make a sizeable donation to a local LGBTQ+ youth organization.

If that’s “botching” Pride Night, then this country is farther gone that anyone thought.

What the Left is saying, in all of its fury, is that it’s not enough for a team to worship at its altar. Every player should be forced to bow as well. “If the Rangers are saying they’re going to be celebrating Pride Night, everybody needs to, for lack of a better term, ‘come out’ and celebrate,” David Kilmnick, president of LGBT Network, argued. These are the wolfish demands of a movement used to getting its way.

Now, thanks to a young defenseman named Ivan Provorov, the script is flipping. When the Philadelphia Flyers’ player refused to be a human sandwich board for radical sexuality, no one could have predicted how his courage would resonate across the country. Provorov wasn’t trying to start a firestorm when he sat out warm-ups in January. As he told the press, “I respect everybody’s choices. My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.”

But instead of turning him into a pariah, as the media hoped, Provorov became an overnight hero, shocking everyone when his jersey sold out in 24 hours. Fans rallied to the Russian’s side, sending a not-so-subtle message to the NHL that it’s time to get back to hockey and leave the social extremism behind.

Whatever the Ranger’s reasons for bagging the jerseys (who knows how many players threatened to boycott), the support for the head office’s decision has been overwhelming. On Twitter, where the team’s statement was first posted by Vince Mercogliano, fans filled the feed with encouragement. “Good,” one user posted. “Now get rid of ‘Pride Night’ in general.”

Others insisted, “Keep political propaganda out of sports!” “If players didn’t want to wear jerseys, they shouldn’t be forced.” “Let’s stick to hockey — not a poster board for every social cause under the sun.” Another wrote, “The NHL will soon realize how many people in the entire hockey community [are] on the side of Provorov.”

Unaccustomed to pushback, groups like NYC Pride vow to make the Rangers regret it. “NYC Pride was not made aware in advance of our participation in last night’s ceremonial puck drop that Pride jerseys and rainbow tape would not be worn as advertised. We understand and appreciate that this has been a major disappointment to the LGBTQ+ community in New York and beyond. … We are communicating these concerns with NY Rangers and NHL leadership. … NYC Pride has a duty to both support our partners and hold them accountable.”

In the meantime, the media has a major optics problem on its hands — and, frankly, so does the NHL. While Pride Nights are a relatively new phenomenon, the Left has managed to exploit teams and expand their influence with this mirage that everyone is on board with their agenda. Now, with Provorov’s jersey flying off the shelf and teams staring down internal player rebellions, that myth is all but busted.

The LGBT lobby “needs Provorov to be a crazy wacko out there on an island by himself,” Family Research Council’s Joseph Backholm told The Washington Stand. “This narrative — that fans are embracing him and entire teams are refusing to force this agenda on players — is counterproductive.”

Still, he went on, “I would not be at all surprised if there were coaches, trainers, and owners behind the scenes who just want to go play hockey. There’s no way that they are all of one mind on a 50/50 issue like this.” And yet, that’s the illusion the Left has been selling America for years.

“A reasonable person looks at this situation and says that it is inherently divisive to require people to take public positions on controversial issues,” Backholm said. “Insisting there’s no opposition is not reality.” At the end of the day, he agreed, “it makes life better for everyone if teams don’t demand compliance with the regime the Left is trying to create culturally. And it seems like they may be coming to that opinion themselves. I think it’s great.”

We may never know what happened in the Ranger’s locker room or which skaters wouldn’t play the league’s games. But one thing’s for certain. If the NHL returns to any semblance of neutrality, we’ll have Ivan Provorov to thank for it.

First Baptist Church Orlando: Apostasy Incorporated

James White Rebukes SBC Megachurch Pastor for Praising Queers Serving in His Church

January 25, 2023

…After I posted that, Reformed apologist, James White picked up on it and talked about it on his podcast. “It’s beyond astonishing to me,” White said, “that the man has a bible in his hand, and he’s going to say at the end of this thing that hey, this is who we are, this is FBC Orlando, and he means all this in a positive sense.” …

Last year, we broke the news that Danny de Armas, the former chairman of the board of trustees for the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Missions Board preached a sermon praising homosexuals, transgenders, unmarried cohabitating couples, pro-choice people, and all sorts of immoral people for serving in his church and making the worship experience at First Baptist Orlando “beautiful.”

In 2016, at this church, senior pastor David Uth invited all of the homosexuals in Orlando to take the stage in his church after a gay nightclub shooting in 2016. Uth,  allowed another pastor to refer to the “LGBTQ community” as the “head cornerstone,” — a title reserved for Christ Himself. Uth, in 2015 at the SBC annual meeting, affirmed an ex-Muslim’s “dream-conversion” story who said she converted to Christianity when Jesus came to her in a dream though she had never heard the gospel.

Since then, it has become a melting pot of sexual immorality, transgenderism, and all-around ungodly filth. There are homosexuals baptizing other homosexuals, and “married” man-to-man practicing homosexuals who have been baptized while openly practicing their degenerate lifestyles and are members in good standing at this Southern Baptist church.

Despite that, the Southern Baptist Convention leadership has said or done nothing about it and this queer-affirming church is still in good standing and in fellowship with the denomination. (Yet another of the many reasons we left the SBC. They ignore the abominations at Saddleback and FBC Orlando. It is time to get out of Sodom. Pastor Steve <><)

While we have put out a lot on this church over the last year, it wasn’t until recently that it really began to pick up steam. After another episode where Andy Stanley, a non-SBC megachurch pastor, made similar comments from the pulpit, Southern Baptist leaders came out of the woodwork to condemn Stanley for it—and rightfully so. However, their hypocrisy is exemplified in the fact that even though they’re willing to call out Stanley for his words, they’ve all been silent on these Southern Baptist pastors who are doing the exact same thing.

In a post on Twitter yesterday, I stated such, and the post got a decent amount of attention, finally.

After I posted that, Reformed apologist, James White picked up on it and talked about it on his podcast. “It’s beyond astonishing to me,” White said, “that the man has a bible in his hand, and he’s going to say at the end of this thing that hey, this is who we are, this is FBC Orlando, and he means all this in a positive sense.”

White goes on to lambast De Armas for exposing his church to all of this worldly doctrine when they should be providing an escape for it. Below is a clip of the podcast where he speaks to this.

Smoking Gun: FBC Orlando’s Danny DeArmas Baptized Openly Gay, “Married” Man-to-Man Homosexuals

Adding more credence of why our church just exited the Southern Baptist Convention. If I am not mistaken, Danny DeArmas is son of the former Director of Missions in our local Southern Baptist Association. More evidence that spiritual leaders across our nation, do not read or believe in their Bibles. Of course, the Southern Baptist Convention would never confront such apostasy – that would hinder their “unity.

Maranatha, Pastor Steve <><

The Dissenter recently reported on First Baptist Church Orlando’s capitulation to gay ideology. It began when the associate pastor and former chair of the North American Mission Board (NAMB) took the stage to boast and brag how the Southern Baptist church included homosexuals, transgenders, pro-abortion activists, and every other kind of God-hater in their church and allowed them to serve.

A week later, the lead pastor, David Uth, took the stage to double down and even stated that not only would they continue doing what they are doing, but they were partnering with NAMB to plant even more churches with the same unbiblical ecclesiology.

Thanks to the research of my friend, Justin Peters, and his colleagues, the smoking gun of gay affirmation has now been found at the Florida megachurch, First Baptist Orlando.

Below are images of a man named Joe Mills who, according to his Facebook page, is happily “married” to another man named Mario as of December 2021.

Here are some more images of Joe Mills and his “husband,” Mario.

Okay, fine, you say. Just a couple of homosexuals. Well, Joe Mills is currently an active participant in a Bible study group at First Baptist Orlando called “The Gospel Gathering.” Here is an image showing him as an administrator of this Bible study group’s Facebook page:

And here’s the smoking gun. Here is Joe Mills being baptized by Danny DeArmas, the executive pastor of First Baptist Church, Orlando.

Made New? Hardly. If he was made new, he would repent over his practice of sodomy. In Christ, Pastor Steve <>< 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW.

And not only is he BEING baptized, but he’s also in the Bible Study Facebook group bragging about how he is going to baptize someone else.

Newly-Elected Southern Baptist President Says Serial Homosexual Practice Won’t Send You to Hell

Why am I not surprised? Of course, Bart Barber believes repentance is not necessary and that “grace” covers the abomination. Bart does not believe God’s Holy Writ: Jude 4 “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 6:1-2 “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

What else is there to say except I am glad that our church voted unanimously to leave the Southern Baptist Convention Wednesday evening. Maranatha, Pastor Steve <><

by Publisher | Jun 24, 2022

In the words of James Merritt, “there is no leftward drift. None.” Obviously, that statement is absurd. The Southern Baptist Convention has now elected the third president in a row who has downplayed the sin of homosexuality.

In 2019, JD Greear—who was elected president in 2018—preached a sermon on Romans 1 and concluded that God believes other sins, such as boasting, are more egregious than homosexuality. In 2021, we revealed that his successor, Ed Litton, had been plagiarizing all of his sermons and taught this same, unbiblical teaching. For Greear and Litton, the Bible only “whispers” about homosexuality.

Now, some tweets from 2014 have surfaced and revealed that the newly-elected president, Bart Barber, believes that one can be saved and still practice unrepentant, serial homosexuality.

During a 2014 Twitter thread, Barber asserted that he believes that everyone at the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, which was headed by Russell Moore at the time, believed this:

When pressed, he doubled down and compared homosexuality to boasting and said that practicing serial, unrepentant sin is not enough to send you to Hell if you are “saved by grace.”

But the Scriptures do not teach this. The Scriptures teach that those who have been saved by grace cease to practice serial unrepentant sin and it is not ambiguous on this point.

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. —1 John 3:4-10

And:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. —1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Over the years, we have documented heavily the leftward drift of the Southern Baptist Convention and its desperate need for either top-to-bottom reform or for faithful churches to leave the denomination altogether. While there have been good arguments from some like Rod Martin for staying to fight rather than handing over control of all of the institutions to the leftists, it is becoming increasingly clear that there is no winning this fight for conservatives.

The call for division in the Church is sometimes biblically necessary as the Bible calls for unity among the brethren, to be of one mind and of one accord. The Bible calls us to be united around the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ — which is the most important message in the world. We are to be salt and light in a world overwhelmed with darkness. However, there are certain things where a division in the Church actually becomes a defining of the Church.

Paul commands Churches and Christians to separate from false teachers — those who hold to and promote aberrant doctrines and teachings. He also commands us to purge those who persist in unrepentant sin from the ranks of our churches. There are at least three issues brewing in the Southern Baptist Convention that, if dealt with biblically, should ultimately lead to a separation and purge.

While there have been good arguments from some like Rod Martin for staying to fight rather than handing over control of all of the institutions to the leftists, it is becoming increasingly clear that there is no winning this fight for conservatives.

Three of the primary controversies brewing in the Southern Baptist Convention that are causing division include various factions of feminism, which manifests as egalitarianism in the Church. Also the growing influence of the LGBTQ movement and, most of all, the social justice movement. And there is an ever-dwindling tolerance among the leftist elites for the rank-and-file conservative Southern Baptists. Just this past week, the Southern Baptist Convention passed a resolution denouncing any effort to seek criminal penalties for women who willingly choose to have an abortion and instead suggesting that abortion is currently necessary and it is our job to provide social services to bribe mothers into keeping their children.

A prominent false teacher, Rick Warren, who pastors(ed) the second largest church in the Southern Baptist Convention, ordained three women to the pastorate last year in contradiction to the denomination’s stated beliefs. He was then given unlimited mic time at the annual meeting to give himself grand accolades on all of his accomplishments which led to the convention’s refusal to disfellowship the apostate church.

Further, the Southern Baptist Convention just elected a radical Obama-supporting dunce to one of its highest offices as Tony Evans took the stage to deny the orthodox view of the Trinity—uncontested.

And not only did the Southern Baptist Convention’s sex abuse task force hire a pro-LGBTQ law firm to represent them during the sex abuse investigation, but they also hired a pro-LGBTQ firm to carry out the investigation and judge rather or not the SBC is acting in a righteous manner.

But at the forefront of the SBC’s slide to the left is its embrace of Critical Race Theory. In 2019, the SBC passed resolution 9 declaring that Critical Race Theory is a useful analytical tool for deciding whether or not white people are racist and how to deal with them effectively.

It should come as no surprise, then, that conservatives are growing increasingly fed up with the leftward drift and are ready to bail. And that’s exactly what Texas pastor, Tom Buck, predicts:

Texas GOP adopts anti-LGBTQ platform, refers to being gay as ‘abnormal’

A rare political occurrence whereby sin is spelled out for what it is. A breath of fresh air for Texans. The gay lifestyle is an abomination according to the Word of God. Blessings, Pastor Steve <><

Leviticus 20:13

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The Texas Republican party adopted a new platform on Saturday that refers to homosexuality as “abnormal” and “opposes all efforts to validate transgender identity.”

The Texas GOP party adopted the 40-page platform at its biennial convention in Houston after passing the party’s new guiding principles, which includes a section titled “Homosexuality and Gender Issues.”

The section includes a formal position declaring the state’s GOP party is against giving a special legal status to gay men or women and that they support people who oppose homosexuality based on faith, religion or a belief in “traditional values.”

“Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice,” the platform document reads. “We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin.”

The section also opposes the use of public funds for homosexuality, transgender or diversity and equity inclusion centers as well as for gender-affirming care — while supporting controversial counseling methods intended to “convert” members of the LGBTQ community. Texas does not have a law banning conversion therapy.

A wave of anti-LGBTQ bills have flooded red states this year, with Republican-leading majorities specifically targeting the transgender community.

Texas has passed laws banning the participation of transgender youth in sports and prohibiting the discussion of sexual orientation or transgender identity in public schools. The Movement Advancement Project gives Texas a low rating for LGBTQ rights.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) drew backlash earlier this year when he ordered state officials to investigate parents of transgender children who allow their child to undergo gender-affirming care, which the state’s attorney general Ken Paxton called “child abuse.”

The directive is still being challenged in court after a judge recently halted the investigations.

At the Texas Republican Party convention on Saturday, Sen. Ted Cruz spoke in opposition to what he called the “woke” agenda from the left and discussed Disney’s new “Lightyear” movie — about the popular Buzz Lightyear character from the “Toy Story” franchise — because one scene includes a same-sex couple kissing.

“Like, just leave the kids alone,” Cruz said. “Consenting adults, you can do what you want to do, but this culture assault is driven by radical leftists who want to tear down America.”

The party’s new platform was adopted during Pride Month, a time when the LGBTQ community and the movement’s supporters rally and hold events in support.

The community has been on edge during festivities this month after 31 members of Patriot Front, a far-right white supremacist organization based in Texas, were arrested earlier this month in Idaho for conspiracy to riot at a Pride event. President Biden last week signed an executive order designed to protect the LGBTQ community from conservative state laws preventing access to health care resources and from laws banning discussion of gender identity in schools.

“My message to all the young people: just be you. You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You do belong,” Biden said at the signing ceremony. “All of us on this stage have your back.”

Meet the New Southern Baptist Convention President, Bart Barber

Reformation Charlotte

If you’ve been paying attention, you’re aware by now that this week’s Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting resulted in a blow to conservatives in a roughly 60-40 vote for the presidential office for Bart Barber against his conservative opponent, Tom Ascol. As we’ve been documenting, the Southern Baptist Convention has experienced severe liberal drift over the past decade which the liberals, themselves, have completely denied.

One prominent Southern Baptist pastor and former president proclaimed that “there is NO DRIFT. NONE.”

Of course, this comes from the same pastor who resigned from his post at Southeastern Seminary after backlash stemming from his promotion of his openly homosexual son’s “sermon” as “faithful to the gospel.” To be sure, there is no liberal drift. None. Right. Men like James Merritt are exactly who Jude warns about in Jude 1:4:

For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

The Southern Baptist Convention today looks absolutely nothing like the Southern Baptist Convention of 10, 15, 20 years ago. The drift has been so slow that nobody, not even James Merritt—who is one of the primogenitors of the drift—has noticed.

To pretty much sum up the entire problem with the Southern Baptist Convention in one tweet, Nate Brooks, a professor at Reformed Theological Seminary, says he voted for Bart Barber not because of his commitment to Scripture, but because of his “winsomeness.”

What exactly is winsome? Google dictionary defines it as “attractive or appealing in appearance or character.” Do you know who else fits that definition of winsome? Satan. That’s right. Satan is winsome—his attractive and appealing character deceived Adam and Eve into disobeying God.

Winsome is not a biblical virtue, it is a tool of Satan.

So who exactly is this “winsome” Bart Barber?

Well, he is the perfect establishment marionette—he had all the SBC money-changers behind him. Our last SBC president, who is a serial plagiarist and has relentlessly insisted that he’s done nothing wrong, was relentlessly defended by Bart Barber.

The SBC has a public policy arm, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, that calls for lax abortion laws and decriminalizing mothers seeking abortions while arguing that she isn’t guilty of killing her child—Bart Barber agrees with them.

And he’s a fierce and implacable defender of one of the most apostate pastors to ever masquerade as a shepherd of God’s people in the Southern Baptist Convention, Dwight McKissic. McKissic has been divisive, race-baiting, and a promoter of pro-homosexual, pro-abortion political and judicial candidates around the nation for years while vilifying pro-life conservatives. McKissic, a pastor, even recently called for some abortions to remain legal in the wake of the expected Supreme Court Roe decision.

Bart Barber is primarily interested in “unity”—and right now, the Southern Baptist Convention has a superficial unity like never before seen.

Barber isn’t serious about doing what it takes to bring the Southern Baptist Convention back into a right relationship with God or honoring the covenant that Christ has with the Church. He isn’t interested in following the Apostle Paul’s commands to purge the unrepentant sinners, heretics, and false teachers from among us. He isn’t interested in defending the sheep from the insatiable appetites of the wolves seeking to devour us all. He’s only interested in maintaining that superficial unity at whatever cost—including the gospel itself.

New SBC Pres Joins Old SBC Pres for a Stroll in Sodom and Gomorrah for Pride Celebration

After a torturous week of downgrade at the Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting, the new president, Bart Barber joins former Southern Baptist president, Steve Gaines for a luxurious stroll in Sodom and Gomorrah—also known as Anaheim, California’s Disneyland…

Southern Baptist leaders are proudly pictured at America’s current largest symbol of Sodomy – Disneyland. The 2022 convention also featured a softened tone in reference to abortion, and the acceptance of ordained women in the ministry. My prayer prior to this meeting, was for the Lord to make it very plain in regards to my future involvement in the Southern Baptist Convention. The Lord made it very plain. Thank you Jesus. In His Service, Pastor Steve <><

While most Southern Baptists are incensed at Disney’s ever-increasing encroachment into the innocence of young children by grooming them with LGBTQ indoctrination on a mass scale, for the sake of unity, these men just throw it in conservative’s faces.

Honestly, these guys really had to search long and hard to find a spot to take a picture at Disneyland that wasn’t decked out in LGBTQ pride flags and propaganda. Disneyland isn’t just a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah, but it is also celebrating “pride month” this June, and the pics from its social media account are rather scary. Not somewhere a Christian should really enjoy being.

In 1996, the Southern Baptist Convention passed a resolution boycotting Disney for the same things that these people are celebrating today.
