Museum Of The Bible

This beautiful edifice is a little over two years old, and located on the mall in Washington D.C.  The building was originally a refrigerated warehouse, built in 1923.  Yes, the Lord works in strange ways.  We went there on 12/30/19, and to say we were blessed would be an understatement.  There are six stories to this building.  We arrived at lunch time, so we went to the sixth floor where the cafeteria was.  Cuisine from around the world was available at reasonable prices.  Immediately after lunch, we saw the most beautiful double rainbow we have ever laid an eye on, with one end of it landing on the Capitol Building.  Would it not be wonderful if this was a sign from the Lord, and that He was not yet through with our country?  Since we started on the top floor, we toured the museum in descending order.  The fifth floor featured a theater, and realms of information on Israel, ancient empires, archaeology, and antiquities.  Many items, maps and pictures were on display.  The fourth floor excelled on the history of the Bible, featuring more than 600 artifacts, 50 media programs, and handwritten scrolls.  The Bibles’ impact on the world and upon America are prominent themes in these exhibits.

George Whitefield’s open air preaching was noted as a major contribution to the First Great Awakening in the 1740’s.  He carried a portable pulpit and was blessed with a voice that could reach multiple thousands!  He preached boldly on the need to become “born again.”

The Bible was considered with its’ current impact.  Martin Luther King and Billy Graham were highlighted as strong proponents of the Biblical message in the 20th century.

The third floor was replete with the stories of the Hebrew Bible.  The world of Jesus of Nazareth was replicated through homes, wells and vineyards on display, with further information in the New Testament Theater.

The second floor examined the impact of the Bible on cultures throughout the globe, including music, fashion, government, and its significant influence on America.

The first floor excels with the Children’s experience and an exhibition from the Vatican Museums and Vatican Library.

Especially noteworthy from my experience, was a replica of the Gutenberg Printing Press that produced the first printed Bible, and a plethora of Biblical translations, including but not limited to the King James Version, the Geneva Bible, the Bishop Bible, the Wycliffe Bible, the Vulgate, the Septuagint, the Textus Receptus translation, and countless others.  The incredible progression of the Bible throughout the world was given and displayed in great detail.  That was what I took home with me.  One could spend several days at this heavenly site, and still not take it all in!  Enjoy the further information given below.

As soon as you enter the Museum of the Bible through its 40-foot bronze doors, its majesty is undeniable. After you journey through the visual sensation that is the museum’s lobby, you can walk up marble stairs or take an elevator to any of the exhibit floors. We recommend starting at the History of the Bible galleries, which begin on the fourth floor. Elevator riders are in for a treat: inside, a video screen rotates its images as you ride up, with music playing to set the mood for your exploration.

The History of the Bible includes more than 600 artifacts inside its 11 galleries. Numerous media programs let you dig even deeper, including films and interactive touch tables. Discover the development of the Bible, from its use among small groups of people to its translation into hundreds of languages around the world. Find out how the text has been translated and shared, its influence on the Renaissance, the rise of the King James version and more. The space also features a 75-seat theater, where you can watch TV personality Dave Stotts go on a history-seeking adventure.
Head down one floor and you will find the Stories of the Bible section, which is divided into three areas: The Hebrew Bible, The New Testament and The World of Jesus of Nazareth. The first of the three is a 14,000-square-foot deep dive into the narrative of the Hebrew Bible, featuring settings inspired by art using high-tech visuals. Guests will be immersed in the stories of Biblical figures like Noah, Abraham and David.
The New Testament features interactive posters of key characters that reveal their stories, as well as a theater experience in a 124-seat venue. Inside, a 210-degree panoramic screen plays a 12-minute video featuring tales told by figures that interacted with Jesus in the New Testament. The World of Jesus of Nazareth is just that: a recreation of Jesus’ time, from the religious controversy that pre-dated him to Roman Rule to a courtyard, complete with a live, costumed docent and recreations of numerous aspects of a Nazarene village, including a synagogue.

On the second floor, you can fully explore the Impact of the Bible. The Bible in the World section uses 23 exhibits to show the undeniable impact that the book has had on cultures and countries all over the world. This includes art, architecture, fashion, family and more. Bible in America showcases a 254-foot long tapestry with striking illustrations that highlight the book’s influence on this country since its beginnings. Bible Now has curving screens and interactive tables, used to let guests share the impact of the Bible on their lives, as well as provide insight to how the Bible influences our world every day. Finally, Washington Revelations uses virtual reality technology to reveal where the Bible can be observed throughout the nation’s capital.
Your Museum of the Bible experience can continue well beyond the exhibits. The fifth floor features a 500-seat performance theater with mapping technology to enhance what is taking place onstage, as well as outstanding acoustics. The sixth floor contains Manna, which offers a menu inspired by Israeli cuisine from chef Todd Gray, co-founder of the acclaimed Equinox Restaurant. Manna is adjoined by a scenic Biblical Garden that can accompany seated and standing parties.

Many of our political leaders over the years, not only believed that America was founded on Christian values, but were also devout Christians.
In 1787, twelve of the original 13 States sent delegates to meet together at the Philadelphia Convention, where they drafted the U.S. Constitution (Rhode Island boycotted the Convention.)
The 55 delegates who wrote the U.S. Constitution belonged to the following denominations:
-26 Episcopalian
-11 Presbyterian
-7 Congregationalist
-2 Lutheran
-2 Dutch Reformed
-2 Methodist
-2 Quaker
-2 Roman Catholic
Benjamin Franklin, who called for prayer at the Constitutional Convention on June 28, 1787, stated:
“In the beginning of the contest with Great Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayer in this room for the divine protection.
Our prayers, Sir, were heard and they were graciously answered.
All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending providence in our favor. ..”
Franklin continued:
“I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth — that God Governs in the affairs of men.
And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? …”

New Hampshire Governor John Langdon called for a Day of Fasting, February 21, 1786, to pray for the new government:
“That He would be pleased to bless the great Council of the United States of America and direct their deliberations …that he would rain down righteousness upon the earth, revive religion, and spread abroad the knowledge of the true God, the Savior of man.”
New Hampshire’s annual Fasting Day, a date fixed by the Governor, was observed April 10, 1788:
“to be observed and kept as a day of fasting of humiliation and prayer.”

Our 2nd U.S. President, John Adams once said, “Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company — I mean hell.”

Our 6th U.S President, John Quincy Adams, chastised “the liberal class who consider religion as merely a system of morals.” He celebrated the Bible because “when duly read and meditated on, it is of all books in the world, that which contributes most to making men good, wise, and happy.”

Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President, was raised in his parents’ Baptist faith. The toll of the Civil War led Lincoln to undergo a profound spiritual journey; before the war, Lincoln had imagined Providence, the power sustaining and guiding human destiny, as a remote and mechanistic force. When he was president, however, Providence began to emerge in his mind as an active and more personal God, a mysterious presence whose purpose eluded human understanding. Lincoln received the casualty lists and toured military hospitals. In February 1862, his son Willie died of typhoid fever.
In September 1862, one of the darkest moments of the conflict, Lincoln committed his thoughts about God on a small piece of paper that his secretary later titled “Meditation on the Divine Will”:
“The will of God prevails. In great contests, each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be wrong. God cannot be for and against the same thing at the same time. … I am almost ready to say this is probably true — that God wills this contest, and wills that it shall not end yet — By his mere quiet power, on the minds of the now contestants, He could have either saved or destroyed the Union without a human contest — Yet the contest began — And having begun He could give the final victory to either side any day — Yet the contest proceeds.”

The 20th president, James Garfield, was known as the “preacher president.” He converted to Christianity at a camp meeting in 1850. The next day he was baptized in the Disciples of Christ Church. “Today I was buried with Christ in baptism and arose to walk in the newness of life,” he wrote.

The son of a Presbyterian minister, Stephen Grover Cleveland, our 22nd and 24th president, attended Sunday school and multiple services in his father’s church each Sunday. He would remain a member of the Presbyterian Church his entire life.
In a letter accepting his nomination to run for president in 1884, Cleveland promised to rely “upon the favor and support of the Supreme Being Who, I believe, will always bless honest human endeavor in the conscientious discharge of public duty.” He became more visibly religious while in the White House and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C., throughout his time as president.

Harry S. Truman, our 33rd president, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grandview, Mo. As president, Truman made frequent references to religion and Christianity in his public speeches. On April 16, 1945, in a statement before a joint session of Congress, Truman asked God for guidance, saying, “I ask only to be a good and faithful servant of my Lord and my people.” Truman repeatedly referred to America as a “Christian nation” and declared that it “was established by men who believed in God. You will see that our Founding Fathers believed that God created this nation. And I believe it, too.”

Our 35th president, John F. Kennedy, wrote to Brazil’s President, Janio da Silva Quadros, on January 31, 1961:
“Once in every 20 years presidential inaugurations in your country and mine occur within days of each other. This year of 1961 is signalized by the happy coincidence… To each of us is entrusted the heavy responsibility of guiding the affairs of a democratic nation founded on Christian ideals.”
On October 28, 1961, Kennedy proclaimed the National Thanksgiving Day these words, “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord.”
Let us go forth to lead this land that we love, joining in the prayer of General George Washington in 1783:
‘that God would have you in His holy protection, that He would incline the hearts of the citizens…to entertain a brotherly love and affection one for another…
And finally that He would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with…the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, without an humble imitation of whose example we can never hope to be a happy nation.”

Ronald Reagan, our 40th president, was raised and baptized in the Disciples of Christ Church, Reagan did not shy away from encouraging Christianity as president. Early in his presidency, he wrote a letter saying: “My daily prayer is that God will help me to use this position so as to serve Him. Teddy Roosevelt once called the presidency a bully pulpit. I intend to use it to the best of my ability to serve the Lord.”

Impressions Of The Inauguration Of Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s Inaugural Address was seventeen minutes, shorter than most folks thought it would be.  The speech was not meant to please politicians and the movers and shakers on Capitol Hill.  It was a talk, that challenged the Clinton and Bush dynasties as weak and anemic.  It was a speech that pleased his supporters and constituents.  Ironically three former presidents from these administrations, as well as former president Jimmy Carter, were seated next to Trump as he spoke.  His speech sounded similar to his campaigning, as he spoke to the people, as a Populist, caring NOT to appease the parties on either side of the aisle.  His bluntness and lack of a desire to appease the leaders of the political parties, are drawing many comparisons to “Old Hickory,” Andrew Jackson.  Like Jackson, Trump speaks from the heart, and never worries about fallout.  My prayer is that Donald Trump NEVER becomes an appeaser, people pleaser or compromiser.  In regards to Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams thought that Jackson’s term would lead to the dissolution of our nation and anarchy.  Sound familiar?  Andrew Jackson turned out to be a great president.  Donald Trump is his own man, and has fooled the political prognosticators and Hollywood “elite,” who laughed at his candidacy a year and one half ago.

What Will Be The Outcome Of This Presidency?

Christian Prophecy Teacher Jonathan Cahn calls the new administration a “window.”  I would agree.  It is indeed miraculous that Donald Trump won the election, and the election shows the brilliance of our Founding Fathers when they established the electoral college.  The popular vote would have nominated Hillary Clinton, but her base would have been limited to California, Chicago, New York, and other liberally minded municipalities.  Donald Trump won thirty one states and an electoral landslide.  We are blessed to have a president who advocates the Judaeo Christian ethic, and he will once again, promote the faith that this nation was founded on.  The working man, the rust belt, the south, and evangelicals placed Donald Trump into office.  I agree with Jonathan Cahn, and believe this is a political “Indian Summer,” with winter coming later on.  The next time that ultra liberals take over this nation, I do not believe we may ever get it back.  Globalism and the One World Government will one day raise its ugly head again – the Bible tells us this.  Most   Christians who I know, are grateful for the outcome of the election.  May we pray for this presidency, and for the great principles of our faith in this nation to be espoused.

The Masons

The Masons are living proof that fact is stranger than fiction.  Their beliefs were examined, and the centerpiece at the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) many years ago.  This group has permeated the United States presidency so greatly, that to not be a Mason is nearly an exception to the rule.  Their influence in politics is profound.  Their  imagery is plastered all over the one dollar bill, their custom designed streets that dot the nation’s capitol,  and the location of our national buildings such as the Washington Monument.  They already had a strong influence in Europe as well, during our nation’s inception.  Our founding fathers insured that our country was built upon Masonic teachings and doctrine, carefully hidden behind our Judeo Christian ethic.  A 33rd degree Mason has beliefs and practices that would make an outsider shudder.  They are a major player in the New World Order (NWO), and paving the way for one world government, one world religion, and a global economy.  I thank Tom W. and The Illuminati / Masonic Power Structure.

I have always seen list’s of famous Masons. To just look at the name means very little. When you date and place those names in the proper time line and placement of power you begin to see the deception and vastness of this power elite. What will shock you even more is to learn who the powers are behind the Freemasons. Notice the death’s of non Masonic presidents or those who lost favor, and the shuffling of the vice presidents to get them in the position of takeover before the presidents were killed or removed. Note also the number of presidential running mates who lost the race for presidency were Masons also. A win win situation regardless of the outcome of the election. The Mason’s have controlled this country from the beginning. Another interesting fact to consider is that of the 37 Presidents of the United States before Jimmy Carter, at least 18 or 21 (depending on which source you believe) were close relatives. That comes to somewhere between 48.6 percent and 56.7 percent-far to much to be coincidence, as any conspiritologist (or mathematician) would tell you. Of the 224 ancestors in the family tree of 21 Presidents, we find 13 Roosevelt’s, 16 Coolidge’s, and 14 Tyler’s. Another source manages to relate 60 percent of the Presidents and link most of them to the super-rich Astor family. This data does not include genealogies of the five most recent President. 1761 – James Otis, born in Mass. Known for his famous challenge to the British -imposed writs of assistance- general search warrants designed to enforce more strictly the trade and navigation laws in North America. At this time he also reportedly coined the euphonious, oft-quoted phrase, ” Taxation without representation is tyranny.” He was chosen as speaker of the house in 1766. Confirmed Mason.

1764 – Samuel Adams, born in Boston. A major propagandist, opposing British officials and policies, as well as British taxation in the colonies. In 1773 he participated in the planning of the Boston Tea Party. Adams also signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Served as delegate to the Continental Congress until 1781, and became governor of Massachusetts from 1794-97. Confirmed Mason and Illuminatist.

Other Parts of the World England. 1765-1795 Edmund Burke, born Dublin Ireland. Entered the House of Commons in 1765. As a member of Parliament he became known as a Political thinker and important in the history of political theory. Confirmed Mason.

Workmen have dug up the remains of ten bodies hidden beneath the former London home of Benjamin Franklin, the founding father of American Independence.

The remains of four adults and six children were discovered during the 31.9 million restoration of Franklin’s home at 36 Craven Street, close to Trafalgar Square. Researchers believe that there could be more bodies buried beneath the basement kitchens.

Initial estimates are that the bones are about 200 years old and were buried at the time Franklin was living in the house, which was his home from 1757 to 1762, and from 1764 to 1775. Most of the bones show signs of having been dissected, sawn or cut. One skull has been drilled with several holes. Paul Knapman, the Westminster coroner, said yesterday: “One cannot totally discount the possibility of a crime.
