The European Center of Nuclear Research is an organization with a large investment in the investigation of subatomic particles through atom smashers, and astrophysics. They have made worldwide news in the last few days by declaring the building block micro particle called the “Higgs boson” as the God particle. That is right— through their own brilliance and the breaking down of some of the small particles that make up everything— they have “humbled” themselves and have given God credit for existing. If this mindset keeps up, who knows, a couple of these scientists may even find that He is responsible for all of creation. But don’t count on it. It is a crying shame that mankind cannot simply be honest with themselves and acknowledge what the Lord has ALREADY written on our hearts. Please refer to Romans 1:19-21: “Because that which may be known of God is MANIFEST IN THEM; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world ARE CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God; neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” This passage tells us that ALL men are held accountable to God through two proofs of His existance: 1) Conscience and 2) Creation. Hence these brilliant scientists who pride themselves on their knowledge, refuse to understand with their hearts and what God wrote on them. …and this leads to our next verse: (vs.22) “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” Yep, a Christian kindergartener has a better understanding of who made him, who he is, and where he is going, than the most brilliant athiest scientist on the face of the earth.
