The Unseen Service Of Spiritual Power

It was Oswald Chambers who said: “My worth to God in public is what I am in private.” How true. Any mature Christian understands the need for “prayer without ceasing.” God is not our lackey, or a water faucet we turn on or off at will. He is pleased to show Himself strong to those who truly love Him. If we trust and obey Him, and seek Him with all of our hearts, He will manifest Himself strong in our behalf. If, on the other hand, we practice “fire escape Christianity” and turn toward God as a last resort, do not expect Him to help you! Some professing believers make vows and bargain with God when they are in a pinch, but have no desire to make Him Lord of all of their lives. On the other hand, those who walk closely with the Master, can be confident of His assistance and presence in their time of need. If we have a strong devotional life, and we trust and obey God with all of our hearts, we can rest assured that we will feel His presence, peace, direction and guidance in all aspects of our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” When your path is parallel with that of the Lord, you know you are headed in the right direction. Blessings, Steve
