The Death Of The West (Part I)

“The Death Of The West” is the title of a book written by former presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan about ten years ago. He also wrote a sequel called The Day Of Reckoning. In his book, Russia, Europe and America are considered the west. His thesis is that immorality and a lack of conviction for the values that made our nation great are contributing to the rapid decay of the United States of America. We have gone from a country built on the Judeo Christian ethic to a pluralistic, multi cultural melting pot that stands for less and less everyday. Today’s buzzword is tolerance. That is tolerance for anything except the values that our country was built upon. We have entered the theatre of the absurd as special interest groups make outrageous claims. You can read about PETA, the ACLU, ACORN, Greenpeace and a host of others on a daily basis. President Obama claims he is a Christian, yet sanctifies sodomy, even making the marriage month of June, Gay Pride month. Nearly 60 million babies have been aborted since Roe vs. Wade, and our citizenry has the audacity to wonder why so many immigrants without traditional American values are “taking over.” It is called the law of sowing and reaping. The traditional and Biblical family is becoming extinct as the universal means for people living together. Now we are told that any living arrangements constitute a family. People boldly come into the Christian Church desiring to serve even though they are living in sin! Because the Christian Church has not stood on the Word of God, the church is having less and less impact on our culture. Buchanan suggests that our only hope as a unified nation is revival. He hit the nail on the head. Lately, there has been a lot of emphasis on “hosting the largest prayer meeting ever for our nation or in the state in which we live.” Our needs go far deeper. We need repentance within the church and we need 24/7/365 prayer “without ceasing!” Our nation is spiritually and morally adrift, economically challenged, and no longer do we feel secure from terrorists and other nefarious groups of people. God has always desired for
us to walk with Him again but if we insist on doing that “which is right in our own eyes,” then He will let us go. 9-11 is the proof that He has indeed done just that.
There is great concern in our nation today about the building of mosques and the advancement of the agenda of radical Islam. This religion is built upon falsehoods and can only enter a vacuum created when people leave the One True God of the Bible. They have been setting their sights on the west because they perceive that we are currently in the “post Christian era.” They will erroneously conclude that Christianity does not work as they correctly observe the decay of the west. What they do not understand is that God did not leave us—we left Him. England left the Lord decades ago and is now paying the price. They stopped supporting Israel long ago, Christianity barely exists in England, and London is an international city that would best represent all beliefs. It is said that sharia law will soon be accepted in Great Britain, as England will be the first European Country to succumb to it. No longer can one say that the sun never sets on the British Empire. If you go as a visitor to England today, you will see people of Anglo Saxon descent serving at the tourist centers like Big Ben, the Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. If you walk for a block or two past these aforementioned locales, you will think you are in the Middle East. Radical Islam views all of the west in this manner, as nations to rapidly take over. Future entries on this site, the Lord willing, will reveal in detail the history, beliefs, mindset and agenda of radical Islam for the
west. The sole purpose of these articles is to incite the Christian Church to awareness and prayer. That is, “prayer without ceasing.”
